5:41 everything's will be fine that's true that's true it's not necessarily that

5:45 easy because what do you define as uh evil how does it know what's actually

5:50 bad if an overwhelming percentage of people that are messaging it are

5:54 messaging at these specific things uh maybe because other Bots were created to

5:59 span it I don't really know um it's

6:02 probably going to think that that is the right thing and it's going to be extremely hard to program it otherwise

6:07 so I don't know pretty interesting uh I'm personally a little scared of AI and

6:12 what's going to happen and I think this was the first little taste of it right

6:15 really harmless in the end but kind of uh Pro possibly a projection yeah and

6:20 like the thing is you're not the only one having people like Elon Musk and

6:24 Stephen Hawking being like AI is super

6:27 crazy smart people on my side absolutely

6:30 yeah so I don't know I think AI is going to be great and I think it's going to do a lot of great things I'm excited for

6:39 can like have genuine conversations with like your phone be kind of cool I

6:43 excited for that kind of stuff but it is super scary and I hope we don't screw it up but that's why people like Elon Musk

6:52 project but anyways Elon Musk has started this program I don't remember

6:56 the name of it where uh they're working very hard to try to figure out ways to

12:54 thing that is interesting about this is that they're going to have to fight with

24:13 optimization under Tik Tok development it was split into different tick uh

24:19 existing processor design would be migrated to a new manufacturing process

24:24 um which kind of makes sense essentially uh the new plan is to

24:29 introduce a third generation of 14 nanometer processors called cab lake or

24:33 C Lake I'm not really sure how that goes before shrinking to the 10 nanometer

24:37 process in the second half of 2017 so we're going to have a little bit of a

24:41 delay until we see 10 nanometer which is not super surprising looking at what

24:45 happened on the graphics card side of things from NVIDIA talking about stuff

24:49 uh the last week or two everyone's kind of building back a little bit trying to

24:53 spend a little bit more time doing various things um so it's not my

24:58 industry yeah it so much anymore have to

25:01 say not excited with CPU releases yeah I

25:05 read this and was like okay I don't care

25:09 that's that's kind of cool I still at home run a

25:12 2600k I do kind of want to upgrade that having some problems with my streams

25:16 lately CPU is a little old but at the same time I could overclock it it would

25:20 probably be fine um but like yeah new

25:23 processing iterations are probably the most boring thing that happened in

25:27 computers right now not true motherboards no cuz storage has been

25:32 improving yes definitely yeah I know it's probably it's probably RAM okay

25:37 it's RAM RAM and then I would probably say CPUs yeah yep like just the the

25:42 impact is is very low the only time RAM

25:45 is an issue is when mobile devices are created with too little RAM I feel like

25:49 that's the only holdup we've got right now with RAM yeah and like that's

25:53 capacity theoretically we've already most yeah we've already mostly solved

25:57 that problem they're just not that's hey we could

26:00 save $3 on every phone we build if we

26:04 cut back the RAM to something that's a little bit not enough okay sweet okay

28:26 theaters part sounds confusing using at first but it's actually not too bad so

28:39 costs 50 bucks which sounds a little high but then if you think about it for

28:43 like the average family of four that should probably be slightly Cheaper by

28:48 like $10 probably depending on go to

28:52 well like let's split hairs yeah factor in transit or fuel if if you're really

28:57 rich you have electric you're not really worried about it right now but you know

29:00 just everything right down to snacks you know the popcorn that costs absolutely

29:04 absurd amounts of money cost more than the fuel more than gold per yes it's

29:08 insane and it really it's I think the whole idea is they're trying to Target a

29:12 market they're currently not hitting I don't think they're really afraid of losing the people that they already have

29:16 who are Avid movie goers like someone like myself I really only go to the

29:20 things that I really want to see you know I'm not really going especially one

29:24 thing for me especially is comedies I love comedy movies I very rarely go to

29:28 the theater for a comedy movie cuz I feel like my living room is just a

29:31 better environment for it let's take Star Wars for example you go to the

29:35 theaters for that one at least I do that's and that's a no-brainer for me

29:38 but they're trying to I think target those people like myself who are going to wait for it to come out later or at a

29:43 different time um and can really enjoy it in their living rooms with a group of

29:46 people and it could be a c there's also some movies that like I would like to

29:50 kind of see right away but they don't really feel like movie theater movies yeah yep definitely like if it's not

29:54 this big action thing exactly it's who cares about seeing it in movie the do

29:58 make any difference so they will apparently give theater owners $20 for

30:03 every $50 spent to rent a film which it's it's 50 bucks to rent a film so

30:06 every time you rent a film they would give theater owners 20 bucks which like

30:10 what about the little theat the m and pop theater exactly what I was just going to say even here if you ignore the

30:16 little theaters there's two big competitors mhm yep so who do you have

30:22 to like sign up with like I would go to this theater or like how yeah yeah do

30:27 you have to pick one like which theater would you like to support today or do

30:30 they split it but if they split it then everyone's making not much I feel like

30:35 the financial Logistics of that are going to be a nightmare a little messy

30:39 little you also have to buy a set top box that costs about 150 bucks not too

30:44 surprising it's an encrypted sep toop box um and when you pay 50 bucks for a

30:49 film you get it for 48 hours I would assume that this comes with certain

30:52 benefits like being able to fast forward reind pause if someone wants to go to

30:56 the washroom a bunch of different things that would be nice if you're in a theater like someone mumbl something and

31:01 you're not really sure what they said what I'd have said was if someone mumbles something and you're not really

31:05 sure what they said being a to rewind it um is cool obviously can't do that in

31:09 theater you don't want to like talk to the person beside you try to figure out what it was because that could be

31:13 annoying to other people if you need to go to the washroom you can just pause it

31:17 uh you you and your like if if you're a

31:20 mom and dad you could watch it and then

31:24 the next day someone else could watch it as long as they have the same set top box in your house so like yeah I don't

31:29 know if you rent a house you could like rent a movie and watch it by yourself

31:33 and then let your roommates watch it afterwards which is pretty cool yeah it'

31:36 be really expensive to as a parent you could watch it you know like let's say

31:40 you have a Friday night date night or something like that you could watch it and if you think you know it's kind of

31:43 on the edge for your kids to see you get to preview it next night the kids can

31:47 watch it or you know something like that I think there's a lot of opportunity in this it's got some big names behind it

31:55 we're we're we're swinging at about 25% right but we had to make sure the unions

34:46 always in like right in the middle of the frame I'm like that's really

34:50 interesting it's a different way of filming and he he's the one that showed

34:53 me that a lot of like American action movies have tons of jump uh jump Cuts in

34:58 the fight yes and then like Jackie Chan

35:01 movies don't it flows through the entire fight and then I started to appreciate

35:05 that a lot more which kind of ruined other movies for me but like it's still super interesting anyways I like

35:17 like about being on the flight is cuz I just pause it and then talk to him about it then keep playing well the 48 hour

45:24 okay so the Bullet Train demo is with the touch controllers you stand in one

45:28 location I'm not going to show right now cuz I won't fit on the camera properly

45:31 but you stand in one I'm pretend I'm standing I'm standing one location

45:35 there's little blue kind of orb things on the ground and if you point at one

45:39 with your controller and press a certain button you teleport there and then it's

45:42 a stand and fight game that's a shooter

45:46 so basically wherever you teleport there's probably some form of gun and

45:50 you can pick it up with your other controller shoot and like if it's a like

45:54 AK if you shoot it with one hand it's going to be like and the bus are going to go everywhere

45:58 so you have to like pull your other hand up and actually hold it properly shotguns you can take one shot and then

46:03 if you don't pump it you can't shoot again so you have to like actually pump it um or if stuff just gets crazy you

46:09 can slow down time drop both your weapons or like Huck a weapon at someone

46:13 um and grab the bullets out of the air turn them around and then throw them

46:17 back and they go back in bullet time and like actually kill people so it's like

46:22 really fun to play cuz you're teleporting all the place slowing down time grabbing things like it's very

46:27 physically interactive which is a thing

46:30 that I think a lot of VR games are missing right now yes definely my two

46:34 favorite demos my my most favorite demo used to be e Valkyrie it's not anymore

46:38 my two favorite demos now are bullet train and uh I don't know if they have

46:43 an official name for it yet or if they're ever actually going to release it but it's essentially the Tron game

46:49 and uh CCP made it so it's the Tron game where you throw discs at each other

46:53 really yeah CCP I just I just lit up

46:57 sorry no I know I don't even play because it's not my type of game but they're an incredible company Eve is an

47:01 incredible game now I'm excited um so do you know the Tron game where you throw

47:05 discs at each other and you're standing on the platforms they made that and like

47:08 you have to actually like jump and Dodge and block and like the blocking works

47:13 and you block and if you're swinging around this way and it hits it'll bounce

47:17 off in that direction or if it's like coming this way and you hit that way

47:20 it'll bounce off in that direction like however the physics are pretty good um

47:24 if it's coming behind you you can get hit in the back cuz there's like room

47:27 behind you and it can bounce off the walls and you have to throw it like oh

47:31 man I played against Colton and it was slightly frustrating cuz he's super

47:35 nonathletic so I just racked him like I

47:39 think it was almost 30 to like two and

47:42 the only reason why I got hit those times was cuz I didn't fully know how the game worked yet like just completely

47:47 destroyed him but it's it was really cool doing something more physically

47:51 active in VR that's really cool I'm actually I thought about bringing this

47:55 and I didn't um I'm going to try and uh find it but and this is going to be

47:59 super bad cuz I'm not in the industry the basically the treadmill that you

48:03 move around on for VR yes one of them was just launched on Kickstarter it just

48:06 raised a whole bucket of money in the first 24 hours I'm I'm going to try and

48:10 look for the article that made me think of it but I I think that's what I'm

48:14 excited about with the whole VR thing right now I'm I'm not a hater but just

48:20 strapping it on and doing a roller coaster not really my thing I'm not really excited no I I and I know I like

48:25 showed our whole family that stuff but it's totally cool for other people to to

48:29 be excited and it's the start it's the building blocks of what I'm going to be

48:33 excited for exactly that's I by I didn't actually really care about the fact that

49:24 made this scene where like I I put Gra all over the floor and then I made like

49:28 a tree and a little fire that actually had fire and smoke coming out of it and

49:33 then I made it like snowing and I just kind of sat down and was like I like

49:38 this that's really cool yeah one of I had an absolute ton of fun when I wasn't

49:42 expecting to I was at a family dinner at our uncle's place um and this was a few

49:47 years ago PlayStation 3 it had a game built into it we had both controllers

49:51 and it was a sword and shield fighting game and I had a ton of fun like I had

49:56 way too much fun playing this game because it was incredible how much it mattered about like you couldn't even

50:01 trick it like you couldn't just move your wrist really quick and try to get some big hit yeah you know where the Wii

50:05 games where you can kind of exploit uh certain issues with the controller it was really incredible just moving

50:10 blocking and using your sword and you could move your person and it was uh it

50:14 was a ton of fun so I think VR is going to be really incredible and it's really

50:18 going to move gaming from uh physically inactive activity to something that

50:23 could be very active that's one thing like yesterday I was tweeting out asking

50:27 if there's any novice men's lacr teams

50:32 saw I saw that you know what got me excited about that Growing Up Football and hockey right playing football and

50:36 hockey all the time you did a very similar thing lacrosse was the one thing

50:39 and I did try and we called I wanted to fit in Lacrosse I would have had to quit

50:43 hockey and I couldn't do it yeah but sorry yeah I saw that tweet today

50:46 actually I was a little behind but I was like yeah that's totally is there one

50:50 that's pretty cool I don't think so no there isn't there's no like I think

50:54 there might be one rugby team and other than that there's no full contact sports

51:11 the very low levels and you watch some of the games there's a little bit hitting but not really not much when you

51:22 playing e if you watch the a guys play that's a much more physical game they

51:26 let a lot more go the rules are technically the same it's technically

51:30 the same league but every division you go up cuz I actually jumped up a game to

51:33 play with another team and I could totally tell there's more physicality that's the only thing I could tell you I

52:50 or something like that is a very different mentality than like fighting someone one-on-one in an orchestrated

53:03 early like today I woke up early I went online I was like I'm going to play some games no one was on because it was 8:30

53:09 in the morning which is totally normal and I get that but my whole mood just

53:13 kind of you know and I did some stuff by myself I farmed a little bit of gold and

53:17 you know I did some other things but the whole team and I was talking about

53:20 rocket League earlier I can't tell you last time I played rocket League by myself but when you get some guys in

53:25 there you get a group together and you know it's it's really fun so the

53:28 whole team atmosphere my favorite thing at PS for

53:32 the last like few years probably was our group of people just jamming out playing

53:36 rocket League together because everyone gets hyped up and it gets it's a lot of

53:39 fun and VR could really play into that you know they're they're going to have

53:43 obviously it's going to be a singular thing to start but we're talking about how VR is going to get better and better

53:47 what happens until now it's us two in that bullet Time game jumping around

53:52 shooting together working together you know I go behind an object and I find

53:56 two guns you go behind an object you find none you know I me just different

53:59 things like that you know Co-op I remember especially growing up the whole

54:03 idea of Co-op was really a big deal and really pushed gaming forward then

54:08 obviously multiplayer and then really playing online and all I'm very excited

54:11 for uh I have a computer idea coming up

54:15 that a few people know about um but not that many so I'm not going to leak it

54:19 here my the guys from my stream the Afterparty for this uh some of you guys

54:24 might know about it but I'm not going to talk about it right now but it incorporates the idea of um multiple

54:29 people in VR together and I'm excited for that too because I feel like it can

54:34 bring back the maybe not actual hitting

54:37 like I can't hit someone but it'll bring back the team based mentality with

54:42 physical aspects in it going towards some type of game with a collective goal

54:46 and like all those kind of things um one of my favorite things that we've done

54:50 was paintball forever ago y when we were move one person would move up and then

54:55 the person who moved up would call shots for the person in the back and then

54:59 exactly like that was super cool if you can do stuff like that NVIDIA games

55:02 and something that would be cool is taking away stuff like Skype and vent

55:06 and TeamSpeak uh for competitive Shooters and whatnot and if you have

55:11 like cuz it's cool and all but being

55:14 able to have it so you have to like shout out to your buddy yeah absolutely

55:18 that's awesome because you have to kind of give away your position to communicate in that situation and that's

55:22 kind of cool and if you're dead you shouldn't be able to communicate at all yeah you know I don't know just little

55:27 things like that that be awesome any be fun we should probably move on from VR I

55:30 could literally talk about VR for forever well you're saying we don't have

55:33 enough and I I've been thinking more and more that we we're just going to it's

55:36 true we'll have enough yes it'll be fine but there's some rapid fire stuff yeah

55:46 staff that's really depressing um just

55:50 for the pure fact that now there's a bunch of guys looking for jobs I'm sure Pebble looks great on your resume um

55:58 remember now but there's always a time in a lot of people's lives where you're

56:02 looking for that job and it sucks you know it really sucks and to lose your job sucks even if it's in the best way

56:57 them a lot on the day today I see them when I come to this office obviously

57:01 this is a tech focused area I saw you know a handful of the eyew watches um

57:07 when they first came out or the Apple watch sorry couldn't care um you know I

57:11 saw kind of a surge of them immediately um I'm very much out and about Vancouver

57:16 and Burnaby with my with my job but I just I don't see a lot of them on the

57:19 dayto day you still see the more uh simple fashion accessory or the more you

57:25 know Iron Man G-Shock style of functionality and we're we're I'm not

57:29 really seeing this it's not really taking over like I think a lot of people

57:33 thought it would it helps a little bit to get out of

57:38 um Langley and Vancouver Vancouver like

57:42 however much of a tech Hub it is because it actually is doesn't really seem to

57:47 adopt things super quickly I don't know why I don't you do travel all over so

57:52 you would you would have a good view on this I it feels very hot spotty like

57:56 Switzerland I don't think I literally saw a single person with a smartwatch

58:00 the entire time I was there and I was going to Techie kind of places and stuff

59:27 closed so all of the people that were working at that restaurant were all

59:30 friends and stuff but no one's really able to help each other properly because

59:35 now you have all of these people who are looking for similar work because of

59:39 their experience they're now competitors they're all competitors they want to and

59:44 like that sucks so even 40 of them

59:48 that's got to suck because now there's 40 people who have immediate probably

59:54 fairly lengthy fairly interesting experience at a company selling watches

59:58 that are probably going to try to find a fifth of their onepage resume is the

62:15 they just kind of left it there and like didn't really fully integrate just

62:19 awkward like it doesn't look like it's a part of the vehicle it looks like it's just kind of like you could take it away

62:29 what's going on I actually got into a Dodge RAM yesterday at work that had uh

62:36 everything and it's just really not that impressive it's really not you literally

62:39 in my opinion you have to be in a Tesla to be impressed by the multimedia Center

62:43 that's involved unless you've done a custom fit yourself your 2009 Acura is

66:44 he's switched back to get the messenger because you guys use it a bit more than I do but I'm just a typical casual user

76:15 same reasons that I don't like the new Nintendo 3DS now I almost bought one but

76:19 the whole fact that you were now please confirm the new games will not work on

76:23 the older game boys is that certain games functionality and

76:28 stuff certain functionalities okay so you see certain functionalities are a

76:31 little bit different I have the 2DS you got me which is fantastic um really been

76:35 enjoying that really works well for me um but I don't my problem there was I

76:39 was misinformed oh okay I thought certain games wouldn't work I don't think that's

76:43 a thing um there's like a c stick for

76:47 when you're in Smash and stuff like there's different things like that but right so that's not that big of a deal

76:52 because what I think of is the parent who did did the best they could very

76:56 similar to our parents to get a console and now there's a new one and now like

77:00 this ps4.5 are all games going to work on it we we don't know we know very

77:05 little it might not even be a thing but if it is a thing and if it is an updated

77:08 version first of all anyone who plays anything competitive has to upgrade

77:11 period that was one thing we saw with the Xbox Elite um which was kind of a

77:15 frustrating deal but not a huge deal my biggest thing is if the if they're going

77:19 to come out with a new one if the new games following that launch only work on

77:23 that new system basically making the the PS4 obsolete I'm upset and I don't own

77:29 them I I don't like that idea I don't like that marketing I don't like any of that I think that's ugly from all sides

77:34 so I'm really hoping that's not what happens mhm and frankly my biggest

77:39 argument when Xbox and we saw it at packs especially not I don't think it

77:42 was this year but the year before uh might even been the year before that um

77:46 but when PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were really trying to compete my biggest

77:51 thing and everyone who's watching this knows that is they're just super underpowered like why didn't you just

77:56 why why do this now why didn't you start on a good foot my biggest complaint when

78:00 they first came out was that um the Wii U was ridiculously comparable if not

78:06 better in certain categories um no what pissed me off

78:13 the 360 when the 360 first came out and the PlayStation 3 they're losing

78:18 a little bit on selling the console it's actually got pretty good Hardware in

78:21 there and at the very beginning it's like ooh solid drop yeah that's an

78:26 interesting idea compared to a computer computer's probably going to be better

78:29 but like for people that don't want to mess with that it's actually kind of

78:33 interesting it's running its own thing games load like okay games don't load

78:39 right away but like you don't have to patch things really like stuff just kind

78:42 of works when the 360 dropped I would say the PC console argument was way

78:48 closer than it was and then like as time goes by the PC will start to just

78:52 completely destroy it and it's not a contest anym more and that's fine when

78:56 the PlayStation and X PlayStation 4 and Xbox one came out PCS at the same cost

79:01 were already just so much better ridiculous yeah wasn't even they're not

79:05 in the same ballpark boring like I'm on the PC side but that's just boring it
