0:16
to be the star of the show but like many other members of the press when I walked
0:20
into the room my eyes went straight to the graphite 76t a stunning case that
0:26
fuses smart design with a big departure
0:29
from traditional aesthetic the box that comes in is huge which wouldn't have
0:34
been a problem for me if Corsair hadn't sent me two of them so now I have like a
0:37
pile of 760 t's for some reason um and
0:41
the box contains excellent soft foam packing material to keep your case safe
0:45
all the way to your door now normal people once they get it out might look
0:48
at their brand new case and think wow that looks really sexy uh but my first
0:53
thought was actually wow structural Integrity must have been a real
0:57
challenge here normally the K the screw SC and tightness of the fit of the metal
1:01
side panels will add some extra strength and rigidity to the case but by its
1:07
nature a huge piece of Plexi like this
1:10
is going to have some serious Flex to it even with the engineering that obviously
1:15
went into building each side panel couple that with the chassis itself
1:19
having less metal to accommodate that large window and by extension more Flex
1:25
than normal and it's a recipe for disaster right wrong
1:30
given that they're only attached with little hinges at the back and magnets at
1:35
the front the panels do more than I would have thought possible for the
1:38
strength and rigidity of the chassis and with them in place it well you got to
1:42
close it I guess with them in place it actually feels very solid all right so
1:47
the next natural step on our tour of the outside is the side panels both panels
1:51
on the 760t have acrylic window panels on them even though the right side is
1:56
opaque so you don't actually see The Rat's Nest of cables most system
2:00
Builders leave back there they snap into place with magnets and a latch and
2:03
they're opened with a comfortable solid feeling handle they swing all the way
2:09
open to be out of your way if you need to get into the system and if you need
2:12
to do some serious maintenance on the system you can just pop them off their
2:16
posts and remove them completely I love the design here functional and beautiful
2:21
top marks Corsair front IO is nothing groundbreaking power reset uh Power and
2:26
drive indicator LEDs are all accompanied by two USB two ports ports and two USB 3
2:31
ports and then there's a fan controller toggle that leads to four internal three
2:34
pin fan headers I'm not really that fond of toggle switches since it's hard to
2:39
tell at a glance what setting it's on and hard to adjust correctly without
2:42
looking at it compared to a more tactile switch type but I think it is a great
2:46
inclusion uh one other Improvement that Corsair could also make is to hook up
2:50
the fan leads out of the factory NZXT does this and it's a really nice touch
2:55
when your case arrives and all your fans and cooling is basically ready to rock
2:59
if you plug in one power connector so um
3:02
with all that said though I'm really glad to see it there just watch out if
3:05
you're buying the lower cost 730t it is
3:09
not included on that one a stealth Optical at the front is something that I
3:13
haven't really seen that much these days most manufacturers Just keep putting 5
3:17
and a/4 inch bays in the front of the case but acting like they don't really
3:21
expect you to use them good encour there for making the front of my case look
3:24
good with or without an optical drive if we could see the envelope pushed even
3:28
further so that that 5 and a/4 inch Bay cover is completely stealth and maybe
3:33
there's just like a pressure sensitive bottom corner you press on or something
3:36
and it flips down that would be fantastic but either way I'm I'm still
3:40
glad to see that because some people do still use Optical drives the front fan
3:44
filter feels solid and is easy to remove
3:47
um unfortunately one of the clips did break on mine but I would chalk this up
3:51
to bad luck and it's an easy fix if it happens to you just contact customer
3:55
service and they'll ship you a new front piece every time I've dealt with Corsair's RMA Department experience has
4:00
been really solid the bottom fan filter for the power supply is functional see
4:05
slides out of the back but much less impressive to me now that I've seen the
4:10
magnetic filter implementation on the 450d way to make your own product look
4:14
bad Corsair cuz that one is awesome
4:17
basically magic and speaking of magic or
4:20
magnets uh the magnetic plastic cover on the top is very Tastefully done the
4:25
angled shape at the front makes it look more like a futuristic design Choice
4:30
rather than just a you know practical
4:33
way of choosing between a a cleaner plane top versus a more cooling friendly
4:38
ventilated top also of note is that the
4:41
color matches really really well and
4:44
knowing Corsair this is not an accident they spend a lot of time on color
4:49
matching behind the scenes so they should continue to match not only out of
4:53
the box but for years to come owners of early NZXT Phantoms will know what a
4:58
problem plastic fading out faster than the paint on metal can be at the back we
5:04
find nine PCI slots which seemed like an odd choice at first but George came to
5:08
the rescue and explained it allows three-way SLI with triple slot cards and
5:11
I was like okay and also said maybe
5:15
we'll see some more XL ATX motherboard designs in the next generation of
5:18
products so uh got you George the 140mm fan and ample Cable
5:24
Management room at the back means that the chassis is quite wide but I see why
5:28
they had to put so much Cable Management room into it normally with a metal side
5:33
panel that really locks into place and you can kind of like pile up the cables
5:37
behind it and then just like force it down um that'll work but with this one
5:43
that panel would bow like crazy if you tried to put too many wires piled up
5:48
behind it so they just had to give you a lot of room to make sure that you didn't
5:51
end up stuck trying to do that inside we
5:54
see that in addition to the XL ATX compatibility the case will work with
5:59
eatx boards but fullwidth Enthusiast
6:02
eatx boards basically don't exist anymore so I can see why they didn't
6:06
bother to do two full sets of cable management grommets like on the 800d
6:10
even though it is compatible since I'm talking about these things um grommets
6:16
here uh they are well positioned and use a high quality material but given that
6:20
Corsair popularized which is now basically the industry standard in cable
6:24
routing holes we haven't seen much further Innovation since the 800d I mean
6:28
what about making things even cleaner with like um like angle shaped ones that
6:33
fit into these little spaces along the top or something like that do it Corsair
6:37
that would be absolutely awesome and I mentioned this before but there is tons
6:41
of cable management room in the back and a metric butt ton of wire loops on the
6:47
back this is really important because it helps you keep things nice and tidy back
6:51
there I would say the only place where Cable Management really needs a bit of
6:55
improvement is around the 2 and 1/2 in drive base these mounts back here are
6:59
spring-loaded and super handy but even though the SATA power implementation on
7:04
this power supply is fairly standard it was hard to Route the power connectors
7:08
from one cage to another and also while
7:11
I appreciate that Corsair wanted to leave the area pretty open so I could
7:15
show off my sexy Neutron GTX ssds they
7:18
didn't give me a good way to hide the cables that are going into the ssds OR
7:22
for the front fans although those ones are quite small um it's a just a bit of
7:27
an oversight on a chassis with an enormous window for a side panel um but
7:32
again it's a very very minor complaint uh another thing that I will leave up to
7:36
you guys whether I'm being Dev vitastic or not is the front panel connectors
7:41
internally are covered with a nice heavy black sleeving but the wires inside are
7:45
not black and that's visible when you plug it into the board usually Corsair's
7:50
attention to detail is what sets them so far apart from the others but this is
7:54
something that they've done in the past that is missing here black wires all
7:58
right moving on to the rest of the drive cages I'm not a huge fan of Corsair's 3
8:02
and 1/2 in Drive cages they're toolless and easy to use but I wish they were a
8:06
little bit more robust on top of being modular the 760t includes two of them
8:11
that you can put side by side in the bottom you can hang from the 5 and A4
8:15
inch Baye or you can stack up from the front and you can add another two for a
8:19
total of 12 3 and 1/2 in or 2 and 1/2 in
8:22
drives to go in there along with the spring-loaded ones the 760t is super
8:26
roomy inside and water cooling support is a very strong point I would be
8:30
surprised if it takes longer than a few weeks for an end user to cut up the 5
8:34
and a/4 inch Baye to allow a triple 140
8:37
mm Radiator in the top cuz the mounting holes are there but on paper it supports
8:42
a 360 or 280 in the top a 240 or 280 in
8:45
the front a 120 or 140 in the back ow
8:48
and a 120 in the bottom nice it makes me
8:52
sad though that the top f/ radiator mounts don't get any air flow with this
8:58
top magnetic piece in in place a small Gap around the outside edges would allow
9:02
at least some air through but I guess it
9:06
would also ruin the extremely clean look
9:09
of the chassis when it's covered so I don't know what the right solution is
9:12
here guys let me know in the comments if you'd prefer a gap when it's closed so
9:16
those fans can breathe a little bit or if you'd prefer to just have the choice
9:20
okay I want completely clean or completely open and I'm okay with that
9:25
one thing last thing I noticed that pretty much sums up my feelings on the
9:29
700t is this corner brace right here it
9:33
represents the compromises that were made from a rigidity perspective to
9:39
deliver an aggressive and yet not overthe toop and like you
9:44
know ricey looking aesthetic it's part
9:47
of the reinforcement solution that they needed to make this case work at all
9:52
with the panels off there's still too much Flex in this case for me to be okay
9:57
with cors are calling it uh an obsidian class product but I'm totally okay with
10:03
it as a graphite product and overall the
10:06
quality foam packing and the wonderful aesthetic that couldn't be achieved
10:10
without compromising on its ability to be used as a chair for a hippo is a
10:15
trade-off that I'm willing to make I should mention that the 730t is also
10:19
available but in my opinion it's worth the extra for the 760t you get the fan
10:23
controller you get the windowed side panels which to me are what really make
10:28
this case work and uh I think that's pretty much it
10:32
guys thank you for watching my video review of the Corsair 760t don't forget
10:38
to like this video and share it if you liked it dislike it if you disliked it
10:41
leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on the aesthetic of this case I
10:45
hope we have some really good footage in here so you guys can get a really great
10:48
idea of what it looks like in person I mean sometimes that's the challenge is
10:52
things don't look as good NVIDIA as they do in person and this one really
10:55
does look fantastic in person um also
10:58
we've got a support Link in the video description so you can use that to you
11:02
know buy a t-shirt for example give us a kickback when you buy stuff on Amazon by
