0:03 okay it is W show time and we're going
0:08 to get okay are we kind of no now you're
0:12 no now you're two Center Stage okay this is the line of show not the wait no not
0:18 this is the W show okay then okay fine come on then come on in here
0:23 buddy speaking of come on in here buddy we were doing some weird stuff today we
0:28 were doing some real weird stuff today it involved drag it involved lipstick
0:35 which is part of drag fake mustaches it involved fake mustaches it involved um a
0:41 cell phone and taking pictures um yeah actually no it's not as
0:47 crazy as it sounds we're working on a uh on a piece for Honor for the honor 6X
0:51 phone and actually I I think it's I think it's going to be pretty fun pretty
0:55 it seems like it's going to be pretty entertaining it have you actually read the script or were you just kind of
1:00 I had no idea that's why every time we got up to a shot I was like I don't know
1:04 what I'm doing like I actually had no clue okay so the concept behind the
1:07 video is it's kind of like uh it's like the videos that I've hosted in the past
1:14 where I compared My Generation to my
1:17 kids generation and sort of the differences then versus now okay well
1:22 this time it's now versus then yeah so
1:25 I'm looking at my generation versus the Baby Boomers and and the way that we use
1:31 technology yeah and some of the ways that like you knowing technology might
1:36 think certain things that they do is just silly and unnecessary and slow or
1:39 whatever solutions that are obvious to us yeah and not as obvious to our
1:45 parents and our grandparents so uh it should actually be a pretty fun little
1:48 video it's it's a lot better we made it sound kind of lame well I made it sound
1:53 kind of lame well part of the part of the added bonus is that like uh so far
1:57 at least all of the characters are played by L and I yes so lonus is played
2:02 by lonus and then like um I don't know
2:05 is it just Grandma my grandma is played by me my aunt is played by him my dad is
2:10 definitely played by him yeah so we kind
2:13 of went Full Monty Python on like the female characters all
2:18 being okay and they got me a medium
2:21 dress well okay I don't even fit medium
2:24 oh I guess it wasn't for me but like I don't even fit medium men's clothes they
2:29 bought me a medium dress you volunteered to fit into to cram yourself into it I
2:35 can still feel it under here there was like barely room for him to stuff the
2:39 front yeah yeah the good news was it was so tight that you were able to stuff the
2:43 front without needing a bra yes yeah
2:46 microfiber cloth anyway uh we've got a great show
2:52 for you guys this week and oh for crying out loud I didn't change the name of the
2:56 bloody stream again yeah the the float party float
3:00 party d d d gosh darn namit the the W
3:05 show um Tech okay do you want to tell them
3:08 what topics we got know yeah sure no I do the Intel
3:14 Intel is going to be doing some stuff with Thunderbolt 3 they're going bring
3:18 bringing it to more things and I think they're like opening it up a little bit so it should be more common which is
3:22 really good that's exciting yeah also there has been a squashed rumor AMD will
3:28 not be licensing Graphics chips into not going to be a thing uh Google has
3:32 made the ultimate marketing tool which uh is way creepier than it sounds
3:38 although you might have seen that coming and then Intel has uh well Intel not
3:43 necessarily but someone has leaked some benchmarks of an Intel 7900 X and a
3:48 Gigabyte x299 orus gaming 7 and we have
3:51 those details oh and there are some very interesting specs in that league so
3:57 without further Ado let's roll the intro that works with
4:00 music it will it's been doing pretty good
4:03 lately I guess we'll have no
4:16 idea people are like they finally arrived on time to a wano but they're
4:21 probably in like other time zones and don't realize that we're actually like
4:25 almost an hour late cuz they cuz they think we're 8 minutes early cuz it's
4:29 yeah cuz daylight savings instead of 52 minutes
4:34 late hey we appreciate your voter
4:39 confidence you guys are uh you guys are
4:42 wonderful and there's nothing I can do about the fan this razor blade this is
4:46 my old blade cuz I accidentally left my backpack at work this razor blade is
4:51 like super not thrilled also there's
4:54 more background noise in general in the warehouse right now because as some of
4:59 you uh doubt it actually there were a lot of
5:02 comments when uh I forget who posted it on social but the picture of the empty
5:06 Warehouse they're like why would you post a picture of the warehouse before
5:09 you moved in now and we're like oh oh
5:13 because that's what it looks like right now so this place is a freaking
5:18 construction zone it is going to be oh
5:22 it so they thought it was like a Nostalgia pick yes no that's that like
5:27 torn apart mess is the warehouse currently
5:30 yeah and the upstairs is full of like pretty much everything that was in that
5:34 part of the warehouse both Colton and Nick so the whole thing where they're in
5:38 like a sales office that's like clearly a oneperson sized office and they're
5:43 both in there that's because we don't have any room to put
5:48 them anywhere else so that's where they are we're we're renovating so we're
5:52 updating the sets we are uh we're building out a mezzanine that well okay
5:57 so it was originally supposed to be a mezzanine for storage of like cases and
6:01 monitors and boxes that actually takes up a ridiculous amount of space after a
6:06 while yeah and it like becomes a problem
6:09 because you can't really get rid of this stuff
6:12 so got to put it somewhere um and then
6:16 it turned into no why don't we make that actual office space because it was an
6:20 opportunity to deal with a couple of problems that had crept up on us two
6:24 bathrooms is actually not really quite enough you know if you know let say okay
6:30 let's say a couple people at LMG go out for dinner the night before and let's
6:34 say oh they both get a bad case of the wow I got to sit in the bathroom for a
6:38 long time at a time well a third person has no way to use a bathroom so we kind
6:41 of needed another bathroom we are getting to the point where there's like sometimes lineups of more than one
6:46 person waiting and for the microwave
6:49 yeah so we kind of needed another like kitchenette or a bigger one but like
6:54 obviously we can't go back and like do that now that that that's not a thing
6:58 you know we did actually discuss putting another kitchen on the other side of the
7:02 same wall so we wouldn't have to redo any of the plumbing that would have be a
7:07 lot easier but but now that we're going to have this space and it can serve it
7:11 makes sense more to have it somewhere else it just be easier to do it here so
7:15 there's that and then there was one person in particular and I'm not going
7:19 to name any names everyone's ask I someone who
7:24 really wanted a f
7:30 shower a shower wait we are getting one
7:33 we're getting a shower oh what the the
7:37 timing the timing yeah so funny story
7:40 like he might not be here that long um
7:44 cuz flow plane media is probably going to get its own space it's going to be
7:48 like finally won't have my shower it's going to be a JF like space there's no
7:53 way it's going to have like nice facilities cuz I mean we don't know how
7:57 fast the company's going to grow the last thing we're going to do is is like invest heavily into renovating a space
8:03 only to be like okay bye well that was a great 6
8:08 weeks yeah um so I'll just have to come
8:11 here and shower no there will not be a fire pull and yes you're you are more
8:16 than welcome to shower and our definitely not monitored
8:20 shower anytime you want babe I'm okay
8:23 with that um all right so why don't we jump into our first tech topic of the
8:27 day yeah this I I you know what I fell
8:32 for it I did a little bit
8:36 too unfortunately I I think because it
8:39 would have been pretty cool so we were both like you know what sure yep I I was
8:45 down for so so what made this rumor kind
8:48 of credible and it was that AMD was going to be licensing chips to Intel for
8:53 onboard Graphics what made it somewhat credible to me was that Intel and
9:00 NVIDIA don't really work that closely together anymore
9:05 um it was it was okay it was rumor and
9:09 and the Rumor was because of a previous
9:12 previous licensing deal between Intel and NVIDIA that expired in March and it
9:17 was basically suggesting that Intel was
9:21 licensing Graphics IP from envidia and
9:24 that deal had expired and rather than reach a new deal with NVIDIA they had
9:29 worked with ATI Technologies Group which
9:33 you owned by AMD but but sort of a separate unit um to make sure that they
9:38 weren't going to have any trouble with their own Graphics chips and you know
9:41 getting uh getting chased down due to patent infringements or whatever the
9:45 case may be and it it all kind of like
9:48 it all kind of made made sense um sort
9:53 of except that I know that Intel
9:56 actually has invested very heavily in
10:00 their own Graphics probably does own a lot of their own patents and at this
10:05 point for them to go ahead with what the the rumor suggested and that was that
10:09 Intel CPUs would have powered by Radeon
10:13 graphics inside which would have actually been like pretty awesome that's
10:16 I think why we sort of believed it to a certain degree was like it didn't sound
10:20 completely impossible and it would have been super cool but it's also like it
10:26 you know I can see why not because Intel has invested so heavily in in their own
10:29 Graphics IP that for them to just kind of go okay yeah well no what you know
10:32 what forget it we're just going to use AMD Tech does seem a little hard to
10:37 believe especially when most folks aren't really complaining about Intel
10:41 onboard Graphics these days the other reason that you know looking back on it
10:48 it um that it doesn't make sense and this
10:52 this is this is ultimately where the rumor got squashed so that's uh the
10:56 article of Fortune and that's where you know from my perspective I'm looking at
11:00 it going oh yeah Intel's got still whether you like it or not still the
11:04 best instruction per clock and they've got the highest clock speeds available
11:09 on their chips so having an Intel CPU with AMD on board Graphics would be kind
11:13 of The Best of Both Worlds but Dr Sue
11:16 from AMD came out and said look we're not looking at enabling a competitor to
11:21 compete against our products it's not about how do we sell more products or
11:26 how do we have IP in markets where we're not currently selling products um AMD
11:30 just basically straight up said even if Intel wanted it they're not looking to
11:35 put AMD's Graphics technology which is
11:38 good on Intel CPUs they're going to keep
11:42 it on AMD's CPUs and for
11:45 now those products are frankly not that
11:49 compelling because amds got their Graphics technology on older series apus
11:55 that are running just what is not in terms of months or years really old
12:02 architecturally but in terms of how much better the Zen cor is really old
12:09 architecturally products so when they
12:13 bring us Zen cor apus all of a sudden I
12:17 I think mine and Luke's excitement about having Radeon graphics on Intel CPUs
12:22 doesn't really matter as much because you'll be able to get radon graphics on
12:26 a zenor CPU so
12:29 you know I I I was amped for it not a thing but I'm not that disappointed so a
12:34 lot of people are freaking out about and there's like hash saave Luke in the chat
12:38 and stuff I'm not like ding yeah and
12:42 like I'll still be around I don't have any intent to not do WAN Show and like
12:46 I'm still planning on doing some videos here and there I'm definitely going to
12:49 be on VR stuff hopefully when it gets you know like more interesting and
12:53 better um and then like I have some
12:57 videos coming down the chain if you you have any here help me out if you have
13:02 any like really weird but kind of
13:06 interesting or unheard of but neat technology things that you know of just
13:11 hit me up on Twitter down over there
13:15 twitch chat's freaking out we saved
13:18 Luke yeah you did it
13:27 Reddit oh terrible
13:34 um uh what do we got for our next topic I'll move this on uh o okay this is cool
13:40 though because okay that the last one is a little bit disappointing because we
13:43 both kind of wanted it to happen because those would have been really really really cool processors I personally
13:48 would have liked to see them in laptops but this one does seem to be happening
13:52 don't believe it's a rumor uh Intel's plan to Thunderbolt 3 all the things so
13:59 Thunderbolt 3 still hasn't gone mainstream which has been frustrating for a lot of people due to a combination
14:03 of high cost and low availability Now Intel is taking two steps to accelerate
14:07 the adoption of Thunderbolt 3 they're integrating Thunderbolt 3 into Intel
14:11 CPUs finally yes thank you yes which is
14:16 super awesome I mean the fact that it was so expensive to add to the
14:21 motherboard meant that it only existed on these super high-end products and so
14:26 you were stuck with it just being like Niche tastic for people who are willing
14:31 to invest a bunch of money into a premium board and in many cases buy an
14:36 additional add-on module and in terms of lower and cost
14:40 this is like not better but like better in certain ways um next year they are
14:45 making the Thunderbolt protocol specification available to third party
14:48 chip makers royaltyfree you know what's really funny
14:54 about this is I had spent so much time
14:58 talking talking about Thunderbolt 3 as
15:02 like one of the only key differentiators
15:06 that I could think of between buying
15:09 Intel and buying AMD now that ryzen
15:12 exists because whether you have a
15:16 specific use for it today or not it's a
15:20 really cool technology and having the expandability of a Thunderbolt 3 port on
15:26 any device is not something that I would say no to you never know how things are
15:32 going to go down for example I'm working on a test bench right now that's got
15:37 dual graphics cards a 10 gbit Nick and a
15:40 red rocket X accelerator in it it has
15:44 six PCI Express slots if I wanted to put
15:47 anything else in there you know what hey being able to connect it via Thunderbolt
15:52 like let's say I had like a a professional audio capture device or or
15:57 something a nice high speed low latency
16:00 Daisy chainable interface I'm not going to say no to that and the same thing
16:03 goes for laptops a lot of people don't think Thunderbolt 3 is that big of a
16:07 deal Microsoft
16:11 yeah sorry that was that was very
16:14 disappointing okay we will talk about that after but a lot of people don't
16:18 think Thunderbolt 3 is that big of a deal on a laptop but I'm looking at it
16:22 going you're not thinking 3 years out
16:26 when some new you know hot sh thing
16:30 happens and you want to be able to connect it the other thing you're not thinking about is that while external
16:35 Graphics enclosures don't make a ton of sense right now while the uh the cheap
16:40 ones use proprietary interfaces like the Alienware Graphics Graphics booster
16:45 whatever they call it anyway it's boost it performed really really well in our test Graphics amplifier um like the
16:50 alien wear so that one's like 200 bucks but the Razer core is like 400 or 500
16:55 something like that okay that won't be true forever are already cheaper ones on
17:01 the market and that's only going to continue to happen so 3 years down the
17:05 line so people look at it and they go what you're going to spend $1,500 on a
17:08 laptop another $500 on an enclosure and
17:11 another $500 on a graphics card that on any graphics card that would actually be
17:16 faster than what's in your laptop no of course not you're going to spend $1,500
17:20 on a laptop use the GPU that's in there and then 3 years down the line instead
17:24 of spending another $1,500 on a laptop so that you can game you're going to
17:29 spend 200 bucks or 150 bucks on an
17:33 enclosure and by then Graphics technology will be such that you could
17:37 spend 150 bucks on a graphics card and it'll be better than what's in your laptop that is the point that people are
17:43 missing with Thunderbolt 3 so having it is a total bonus and for me so AMD
17:48 announced that they're going to be doing mobile Zen based CPUs soon that to me
17:53 was going to be a real bummer for investing in an AMD laptop but now this
17:58 potentially changes everything so let's talk about um let's talk about Microsoft
18:02 not thinking Thunderbolt 3 is a big deal yeah so they they brought us to China
18:07 which was super interesting and um I we
18:11 figure out what's coming out and I'm pretty excited because lonus had
18:15 actually oddly very recently made a
18:18 video about the Surface Pro 4 which was
18:22 weird because it was a super late video
18:25 it was like wildly late like this video came out 2 months ago I think
18:29 so his opinions on it were very fresh and lots of comments under the video
18:33 were very fresh in terms of like there's a new product coming out so I I have
18:38 like everything ready I'm like okay all right I've I've been told by them that
18:41 like they've directly addressed claims and stuff I'm like man this is really exciting I like feel like I know what's
18:46 coming and I feel like like one of the quotes that you said in Surface Pro 4
18:50 video was that you feel like the Surface Pro 4 was the first time that the
18:55 Surface Pro lined up with Microsoft's vision for what it was supposed to to be
18:59 y so I was like here we go one of my lines was literally like and this is
19:02 where they take it from there and I was like all freaking excited and then
19:07 Linus's biggest complaints in my opinion that happened in that video were all IO
19:12 based there was a Micro SD card slot instead of a full SD card slot that
19:15 didn't change there's still a Micro SD I think it's SD XD SDXC card slot um and
19:21 then the io was microphone power the surface dock the
19:27 connector into the key keyboard mini DP
19:30 and a usb3 type a port that's all it was
19:34 before and that is exactly what it is now the reason why I remember is cuz I
19:38 just made the freaking video about it no type c no additional type A if you
19:44 want to plug in like uh a mouse and a flash drive at the same time you're
19:48 boned um just I don't know n and then the pen
19:54 isn't included in anymore the pen is so much better now which is super cool the
19:58 pen is actually like drastically better now right and you could that's another
20:02 interesting thing you could just buy the pen cuz it's backwards compatible and
20:06 use it with your Pro 4 and that's probably what a lot of
20:10 people are going to do like cuz the pen
20:14 is what it's like four times as precise
20:18 it now has like tilt functionality uh and it latency is way lower it's the
20:23 lowest latency input pen that there is
20:26 like Pen's super cool
20:29 there you go did it join the uh does it
20:33 have like 15 new things about it that are better than any other
20:38 pen I wish can we call it the pen 15 I I
20:41 would love that I would love that if they just didn't acknowledge it at all a
20:44 straight face here's 15 things about the Microsoft pen that are the best I feel
20:48 like you know you know how musk wanted to line up the S and the three and the X
20:53 I feel like he if he released a pen well
20:57 no he wanted it to be e and Ford screwed him on it that's why we had the three so
21:01 that's why we ended up with s3x he wasn't even going to be that subtle man
21:05 Model E and then they said it was two close Model T or whatever which is ridiculous well didn't no I thought they
21:09 had a Model E I thought that was the problem I'm not much of a car guy so
21:14 it's hard for me to uh to necessarily remember this
21:18 stuff is there a Ford Ford Model E Yeah there there you go so that's why that's
21:22 why they wouldn't let him get away with it but uh that's okay you know smart guy
21:26 like musk he can he can figure out use some Le speak why not speaking of
21:31 smart guys like musk how stoked do you think he is on this the original article
21:35 here is from futurism.com and this is some Skynet creepy shiz
21:43 right about now you guys I'm going to get this in twitch chat real quick this
21:46 is some crazy business the headline is
21:51 Google's new AI is better at creating AI
21:57 than the company's engineer oh that was I linked the wrong thing in twitch chat
22:00 this is the automl project an artificial
22:05 intelligence that assists in the creation of other AIS this is
22:11 exactly what Terminator told us not to
22:16 do
22:23 exactly yeah like two a
22:26 te H so autom ml is a controller neural
22:31 net that can propose a child model architecture which can then be trained
22:37 and evaluated for quality on a particular task wow so so far they've
22:42 used this autom mlte to design networks
22:46 for image and speech recognition tasks
22:49 so the system matched Google's experts for image recognition and exceeded them
22:55 in speech recognition designing better architectures than the humans were able
23:00 to create this is one thing that I'm interested in though was that
23:05 ever or were they put in like a Time window like were the humans and the AI
23:09 both given an hour or a day or was it
23:13 like what the humans have been able to make up until now to be honest I haven't
23:16 looked much further into that I haven't seen that information kind of anywhere
23:21 because that's actually a pretty interesting difference right uh there
23:24 were a couple more quotes on it I can have a look and see if I can uh find
23:28 anything cuz I'm not I'm not trying to say that it wouldn't be possible ever
23:31 for them to do it but I feel like right now it would be on like a similar timed
23:37 test I don't think so it really doesn't
23:40 sound that way because like did did they cuz we're saying speech recognition
23:44 right yeah so did this AI make a better speak recognition thing than what Google
23:47 is using currently right now cuz if not then it didn't beat it I proove his
23:53 proposals for it's worded in a way that I can't
23:57 like 100% be certain it is a little bit
24:00 tough to tell exactly exactly what they mean but either way it sounds it sounds
24:06 terrifying so basically here's the here's the quote if we succeed we think
24:11 this can Inspire new types of neural Nets and make it possible for
24:15 non-experts to create neural Nets tailored to their particular needs
24:19 allowing machine learning to have a greater impact for everyone oh I'm sure
24:24 machine learning is going to have an impact yep
24:30 D I like you know it's funny I was never
24:33 really much of a doctor who guy and then
24:36 I like bent watched the entire like like 20 whatever Doctor Who
24:42 like not not 20th century Doctor Who the the 20 year
24:46 something and I was just like this is
24:49 great I think I must be one of the only people who really liked the first doctor
24:54 from uh from New Generation yeah I don't
24:57 even remember his name any but I I thought he was I actually thought he was pretty awesome but uh
25:01 anyway that's neither here nor there but it makes me think of the episode where
25:05 the cars like drive people off into the into the water and stuff like that um
25:11 cuz they're they're using they they turn they're taking over the world's
25:14 electronic devices and all that kind of thing like I
25:18 just I'm going to be someone in chat in all capital letters the first doctor was
25:24 awful he was not awful remember to though that I'm coming
25:29 at it from a really different perspective as someone who never watched
25:33 the old show and basically other than knowing that it was something to do with
25:36 a blue phone booth yeah knew nothing
25:39 about it I know there's a blue phone booth I know there's a crazy screwdriver and I know you haven't watched Doctor
25:43 Who no I think he like dies sometimes
25:47 and then he like glows and then another one shows
25:51 up or does he like like pass the screwdriver forward is it a different
25:57 screwdriver is is it a sonic
26:00 screwdriver no no okay I'm sad now okay you got to
26:07 watch some Doctor Who bro okay it's it's actually okay it's really camp but it's
26:11 like actually really good it's really good you'll like it you'll like it all
26:14 right um all right
26:19 let's that's all I know about the only you know it's funny I'm like I'm leaning
26:23 on you really hard even though I went so long without watching it but the reason
26:27 I'm doing it is that's what made me finally go okay okay like Firefly I was
26:32 like okay fine fine fine I'll watch it okay I'll watch it cuz like honest nerd
26:38 Phantoms go that way it's terrifying tackling like Firefly was okay cuz
26:42 there's only one season but like when someone comes to you and they're like
26:45 this is a really great show there's nine freaking you know 20 episodes it's still
26:51 going right and you're just
26:55 like this is like a week of my life that I'm Comm to this if I like it and see
26:59 like usually I wait till shows are over I still haven't watched any Game of
27:04 Thrones me neither cuz I'm waiting for it to
27:08 end okay I think I watched like the first season but I don't really remember
27:12 well I read the first book found out they weren't all written and I was like
27:16 flip desk nope I own them all on like kind I
27:21 didn't know there was books usually I read the book first I ended up watching
27:25 a couple episodes and I was like damn this Show's weird as hell but pretty
27:28 good so I ended up watching the whole first season then I was like I'll wait
27:32 till all the seasons are done then I figured out there was books and I bought the books and then was like oh my
27:36 goodness there's more books coming damn it so we've gone through exactly the
27:40 same I've actually gone one step further I already own the Blu-rays for like the
27:45 first five seasons but well H
27:48 HMV H&M H HMV HMV disappeared shut down
27:53 and I went in and like seasons of Game of Thrones were like $14 or something on
27:58 Blu-ray like it was ridiculous that's really good so I
28:02 bought like $400 worth of Blu-rays that day I got so much good stuff that's
28:07 pretty and I was just like yeah okay well I you the good news is I have lots
28:12 of time to rip it all to my Plex server because I won't be watching it for a
28:16 very long time yes yeah yeah um all right what else oh Google
28:22 has made the ultimate marketing tool yeah so this is what I actually thought
28:26 we were sharing before the original article here is from
28:31 bleepingcomputer.com and it'll come up eventually way to go bleeping computer
28:36 this is yeah this is oh I timed it just wrong it finally this is super creepy
28:41 the the last one was like oh my God they're going to take over the world
28:45 that's really scary this one's like oh
28:48 my God this is the creepiest thing freaking ever what the actual hell is
28:53 this at the annual Google marketing next
28:56 conference the Mountain View search advertising giant announced a new
28:59 service that will let advertisers track
29:03 and tie offline credit card payments
29:06 with ongoing marketing
29:10 campaigns so this is going to be this system will be driven by Machine
29:14 learning and combines data from Google's regular campaigns with third-party
29:18 Partnerships which capture 70% of credit
29:22 and debit transactions in the
29:25 US yeah this is terrible yeah the good news is that and they use
29:31 like geolocation and everything to tie in everything so like they'll they'll
29:37 they'll find mood patterns where like if
29:40 something is happening like say your phone is blowing up from certain
29:44 contacts and you tend to make certain impulse purchases when certain people
29:49 are blowing up your phone they'll like I'm not even kidding though flowers yeah
29:54 yeah they'll throw advertisements at you for different services and whatnot and
29:59 of course they're analyzing exactly what's being said even so they don't
30:03 even have to look for it to blow up they could just look for they could know
30:07 before you know and then have those ads ready for our anniversary is coming up
30:11 and boom Sky helicopters ads actually
30:15 they'll they'll know your uh like Target price probably too from your payment
30:20 history so they'll give you like a value
30:23 appropriate ad I mean at what point do
30:26 we just live in capsules like the Matrix and we just get like when we want it we
30:31 get like an injection of happiness and when we want it we get like spinn into
30:37 our you know what's really funny is I'm probably and I'm I'm I'm just going to
30:42 kind of jump in here and you can correct me if I'm wrong I'm probably the most fidgety person you
30:47 know yeah and I'm really fidgety too but that's not the I don't even know why
30:51 they're called that I have never been even tempted to try a fidget spinner no
30:55 because it's too it's too uh
30:58 uh like basic onedimensional I don't get it like I like I fidget with whatever's
31:03 in front of me I like like I used to drive Nick light
31:07 freaking crazy on our conference calls
31:11 because we used to do them in the L show room back when we were at the old
31:14 Langley Place and there was a boom ARM that had the microphone for the show
31:19 above where we'd sit on the couch cuz that that was the couch we'd sit on the couch and we' do our conference calls
31:23 together and so whatever was in my hand I would put my ARM out and I would throw
31:27 it up over the pole to myself I remember that and catch it to myself and I would
31:32 like hit the boom ARM from time to time and people who were on the call with us
31:36 be like oh it's what sorry did you guys cut up for and ni be just
31:44 like but yeah I just don't
31:47 get but the thing is you're fidgeting
31:51 and like I think we have similar kinds you'll like grab something and like
31:54 throw it around and you're like really interactive with like
31:58 this is this is too boring there's not enough going on that doesn't that
32:02 doesn't really it's way too boring with that said have you tried one no okay so
32:06 maybe before we dismiss it we should at least you know if you're going to say
32:11 buy one of those stupid things if you're going to say crack cocaine is bad you
32:15 should at least try it
32:19 first okay just so like it's on record
32:22 no obviously not no obviously not but that won't change the gifts yeah um
32:27 anyway back to the marketing next Google attribution so that's what the service
32:31 is going to be called um it Aggregates
32:35 details about the ads displayed on your phone the sites and time that you
32:39 visited them what you've searched in Google it uses GE location and Wi-Fi
32:42 information from your phone uh to tell if you've gone to the mall or walked
32:46 into a store that sells that product and finally with the integration of payment
32:50 data from third party Partnerships Google will know if you've bought that product and we'll report it in the
32:54 advertisers AdWords dashboard it's
32:58 driven by Machine learning and combines data from okay we already said that part
33:01 holy freaking crap with that said if
33:05 Google knew that my wife's birthday was coming up and suggested Sky helicopters
33:09 that would be pretty cool we finally went on our helicopter ride oh cool yeah
33:12 so I bought it for her back in October it's been a bit which is when her
33:16 birthday is and I didn't have to think about that for a sec
33:21 um and it took until now for us to do it because we've had a very very young baby
33:26 and it was kind of like the reason for the timing the reason for the gift the
33:30 reason for giving her a gift that I knew she wouldn't be able to enjoy for a bit
33:34 was it was like hey hun everything is
33:38 horrible right now because we have an infant but here's something to really
33:43 look forward to you know once we can leave the baby at home for a couple of
33:46 hours and uh so we went we went flying
33:49 up into the mountains um just north of the greater
33:55 the Greater Vancouver area and these pict
33:58 are freaking sick so uh it's actually my
34:01 sister's boyfriend who took us up there and uh so he's a he's a helicopter pilot
34:06 and um even got us like a small deal and
34:11 freaking man uh we did the sunset uh we did the sunset tour yeah
34:16 sorry you guys won't be able to see this wow really cool it's like freaking
34:20 Wilderness uh hold on oh I'm I'm going backwards no I'm I'm getting to like
34:24 just flying over like the city that that's not as good oh you guys got out
34:27 but we got like way oh yeah yeah we land
34:30 on a mountain top that's really cool and you can just see as far as the eye can
34:35 see the entire top of the mountain awesome is just like like it's it's it's
34:39 like a jagged Peak but it's like flattened out from the from the cone of
34:43 snow on the top and like you're like on top of the world and uh as the sun goes
34:49 down the light was just like we got the perfect light so the sun coming through
34:53 kind of a light Cloud on us but blue skies above us
34:58 and uh it was just oh that one's blurry
35:01 it was just unreal middle of nowhere
35:04 this would be like a 3 4 day Expedition
35:07 for a very experienced Mountaineer yeah or you can fly up there in like 20
35:12 minutes um that's pretty awesome but uh let me
35:16 just see if I can find like one of the pictures we took like right when the sun
35:20 was sun was setting it's like freaking unbelievable it's like so quiet just
35:25 crazy got like the helicopter in the background there honestly it was really
35:29 expensive like it was still like 500 bucks so it's not the kind of present
35:34 that I would buy every year or anything like that but again like you know me I'm
35:38 the kind of person who does like a a big gift once in a while and then like
35:44 here's some you know breakfast or whatever yeah like more like more like a
35:48 gesture and I think in that case it sort of makes sense like this sucks right now
35:52 but here like just look at this don't worry about it let's keep going yeah it
35:55 was like to get it was as much for me as it was for her to get both of us through
35:59 the uh through the next six months um
36:03 speaking of getting through the next six months um you know we got to make sure
36:07 we keep the the lights on in the studio for the next six months so sponsors for
36:13 the W show today you know what's funny is I actually didn't know this until um
36:20 until when I was working on pimp my Wi-Fi out in Singapore that n genius in
36:27 addition to making consumer grade stuff actually makes enterprise class
36:32 networking gear so this right here is the ews 360
36:37 AP it's an Enterprise class dualband access point ideal for large offices
36:41 schools and Hospitality guest Wi-Fi access it features 11 AC speeds um and
36:48 it's got a bunch of business class features it can operate in autonomous or
36:51 managed mode it's got a high powerered radio with a 3X3 antenna design and it's
36:56 got meshing Tech technology built in so that means you can actually run and and
37:01 obviously it's not as good as running a wire to every single AP we know but
37:06 sometimes you don't really have a choice and a mesh can be very very convenient
37:11 um there are so this is where they really kill it in terms of the total
37:16 cost of ownership unlike some other Enterprise access points there are no
37:21 per device license fees and no annual
37:24 subscription fees so that's what keeps so while the AP itself might not be that
37:30 cheap compared to another access point that's not really the
37:35 point the point is lower overall total cost of ownership so check it over check
37:40 it out check it out over at ingenius tech.com New
37:45 .html also sponsoring the show this week ma
37:51 Welden you look so sharp when you wear a collar I I think other than the first
37:56 year at CES where you wore like were you like bought you like you did it the way
38:02 that like noobs buy clothes where you
38:05 bought an outfit y like a shirt a vest
38:11 our pants um and uh anyway I think that's like one
38:16 of the only times I've ever seen you dress up the caller suits you though
38:21 there was also comp wait did you say computex oh computex too that same year
38:26 yeah so ma Welden leaves in smart design premium fabrics and simple shopping even
38:31 he could do it
38:34 uh like actually like they make super comfortable underwear socks shirts
38:39 undershirts hoodies and sweatpants and
38:42 they have a line of silver underwear and shirts that are naturally antimicrobial
38:47 which and this is a really fun fact is
38:50 actually a thing you can put silver in your water cooling Loop and it will kill
38:55 bacterial growth silver ions that's a
38:59 thing so when they lace these Fabrics with silver they actually naturally kill
39:04 the microbes that cause Bo you're still going to sweat obviously but hey at
39:11 least it helps and like you should still wash it out and stuff yes ma Welden the
39:17 only clothing you never have to wash you heard it here first it was a complete
39:22 and utter lie but that's but you heard it here first uh anyway ma w wants you
39:27 to be comfortable so if you don't like your first pair of boxers you can keep
39:31 it and they will still refund you and not only do their underwear socks and
39:35 shirts look good they perform well too
39:38 great for working out going to work going on dates and just everyday life I
39:42 mean basically good clothes should be good for everyday life yeah so go to
39:47 mackweldon.com and get 20% off using promo code Tech tips that's our tip for
39:53 you today going to MC Weldon and saving some money hooray oh yeah another tip
39:57 LTX is happening ticket rocket. cevent
40:02 detail 97246 LTX
40:05 d2017 I still don't know why we haven't URL shortened that I also don't know why
40:11 but that's fine what the hey uh you want to come hang out yeah so it's going to
40:15 be on July 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00
40:19 p.m. we're going to have the whole LT crew there we're going to have fun
40:22 booths including the case toss the guess how many CPUs are in a jar and playing
40:28 rocket League IRL we're going to use the
40:31 not with like the superpowered cars but there's like actually like kits you can
40:36 buy so oh yeah okay or rent rather so so
40:40 there'll be like like a whole kit so it's going to be halfway Tech like we're
40:44 going to have some partners coming out and like teching it up like like game at
40:49 144 Herz in 4k cool I think I think
40:52 those guys are coming out and then we're going to have stuff that's just like
40:55 completely Carnival like we're you know those things with the big long bungee
40:59 cord where you like run as fast as you can as hard as you can against the
41:03 bungee cord and then it like rips you back oh God so we're we're going to get
41:07 one of those I think so we're just going to have just a mish mash of like stupid
41:12 fun crap to do and you come hang out with the LT crew tickets are 30 bucks uh
41:16 or there's a bigger package that includes uh Floatplane membership and some other cool stuff so there you go
41:21 LTX is
41:24 coming all right other news topic what else we got here oh yes leaks so
41:31 software.net is the original source for the leak here and it looks like a
41:36 Gigabyte board running an Intel Core i7
41:40 7900x 10 core CPU at 4 GHz base 4 and A2
41:45 boost was leaked AF so that is the uh oo
41:51 local rank number two okay a lot of these numbers don't mean a whole lot to
41:55 me but that's okay um 20 threads 4 GHz
42:00 wow if that is the actual TDP rating
42:04 that is basically Intel turning up the
42:07 heat quite literally like they have been so conservative in the stock speeds of
42:13 their processors for so long if this 175
42:16 wat TDP is for real you are going to need like a dual 120 mm liquid cooler in
42:24 order to keep this thing boosting up which which is great for those of you on
42:29 like uh SoundCloud listening to the podcast which almost no one does cuz we
42:34 never mentioned that it exists it's 175
42:38 Watts why are you plugging the audio version nobody cares nobody cares I
42:45 think it's on iTunes too is it yeah I
42:48 think Colton set up like an automated thing people ask me every once in a
42:51 while like when are you guys going to make it like a legit podcast and like go on like iTunes and stuff and I'm like I
42:56 don't even know if we are not right now hey we might already be the L show is a
43:02 legit podcast I think they mean like audio podcast well you know what oh geez
43:08 there it is look at that on iTunes iTunes uh there's uh oh okay that one
43:14 didn't go up until like mid this week
43:17 but you could still you could still listen to it on iTunes so it's like week
43:22 hold News 4 days late okay we should
43:25 maybe maybe it's not automated it's probably not automated Colton probably is doing it manually wow which I
43:31 appreciate his dedication but uh there you go yeah the Lano is on iTunes now
43:36 you know it's a free download on iTunes I can you see how many people like I
43:41 have no idea customer reviews okay hey let's read these let's read some reviews
43:46 great guys I've been watching their content ever since they started making
43:49 Tech videos on the internet there buddy glad to see them make the jump to iTunes
43:52 as well very informative well done Tech and news coverage that Canadian accent
43:57 damn really nice to really glad to see the WAN Show make its way to YouTube
44:01 Buddy two guys having fun laughing at the silly state of the world focus on
44:04 technology love to support him as they Canadian boys okay that one legitimately
44:08 sounded like a Canadian did too right yeah yeah good to see this make its way
44:12 to the iTunes good ideas you can listen to it whenever you want there buddy
44:15 great job guys keep up the good work where you want there
44:18 buddy that legitimately said buddy that would have been perfect I wish it said
44:23 buddy but but that one that second one that did say as they Canadian and it
44:27 sounded Canadian before it said that y so that was pretty good so there you go
44:33 if you ever left a review I think there I think that's all three I if you ever
44:37 left a review of The W show on iTunes
44:41 then you got a hardcore W show call out yeah there um uh T Moody Demon Hunter
44:48 and YOLO swag
44:52 shop yes and there's four numbers after it so like YOLO swag shop was taken and
44:58 now it's YOLO swag shop 1275 you know I
45:02 excuse it these days but I remember when
45:05 like email addresses were were were easy
45:09 enough to get unique ones were easy enough to get that like when I met my
45:15 wife I legitimately straight up held it against
45:20 her that her email address at the time
45:23 was sweetheart 09 at something
45:28 and I was just like
45:31 really I don't know if I don't know if this relationship's going to be a thing
45:36 in my girlfriend's defense she has a Gmail now okay she she got off the Yahoo
45:42 train finally oh well she wasn't at Yahoo so yeah was not at Yahoo she was
45:48 at like a real email provider yeah yeah
45:52 so you know yeah she fixed it yeah sorry
45:55 Emma but you're done no she fixed it she she fixed it it's
46:01 fine uh what else we got AMD discusses
46:05 upcoming RAM settings in ryzen so this
46:09 was actually big news when ryzen was
46:12 first launching that there was pretty much nothing to adjust like you could
46:18 turn the speed up as high as you could go and you could tighten up primary
46:23 timings but like that was it
46:27 now they are opening things up a fair
46:30 bit more so there's actually some really great news here this is community update number four so first of all um I was
46:36 talking to my buddies over at lime Tech uh unraid and um blah blah blah FTC
46:42 disclosure I uh am involved in potentially investing in Lime
46:45 Technologies anyway um so I was talking to my buds over there and they were like
46:50 this virtualization news is good news
46:53 because ryzen has not been a lot of fun
46:57 in unraid with virtualization up till now so here we go they're getting fresh
47:02 support for PCI Express access control services which primarily enables support
47:07 for manual assignment of PCIe graphics
47:10 cards within logical containers called I andu groups so the hardware resources
47:15 blah blah blah can be dedicated to Virtual machines so this is for GPU pass
47:18 through and this is what projects like seven Gamers uh one CPU have been all
47:23 about without ACS support uh 3D
47:26 accelerated Graphics in a VM was like not going to be a thing so this is
47:31 freaking awesome with ACS support is also possible to split see they're
47:35 talking about this a 2 GPU system such that a host Linux OS and a Windows VM
47:41 could both have dedicated graphics this is exactly what we're talking about it's freaking awesome um also what's next for
47:47 memory so added dividers for memory clock up to ddr4 4000 good luck getting
47:51 that running uh command rate is coming
47:55 uh and a bunch of of secondary timings so there you go freaking cool wow that's
48:00 really cool all the things that's a pretty huge update actually all the freaking things so uh you won't get any
48:05 of this functionality until your motherboard manufacturer bakes it into
48:09 uh a ufi update but it's good to know that these things are being worked on
48:13 and again this comes down to like us not
48:16 necessarily being that comfortable saying go by ryzen now but us also
48:21 having the confidence to give the the technology a a positive a positive spin
48:26 in our review because we were sure that given a little bit of time AMD was going
48:31 to get this stuff worked on so I am I am flipping excited for what they're doing
48:35 right now over there oh wow thank you Ivan yeah yeah you guys may or may not
48:40 have noticed but Ivan like kind of is sleeping in a corner of the warehouse
48:44 right now yeah I don't know how many of you will
48:49 actually even know who Ivan is but uh he's the OG OG crazy Russian is what I
48:55 used to always refer to him as back in the NC Tech tips days um and I've been
49:01 informed it's not Russian it's Soviet Canadian okay okay I got that's I said
49:07 OG crazy Russian cuz that's what I called you not like I was referring back
49:11 to something that I said that was
49:15 wrong yeah you too bro okay um anyway he
49:20 brought us water he's a he's he's good people I mean mine doesn't have any ice
49:25 in it but I think mine has like construction stuff you know it's a it's
49:28 a learning it's a learning experience um what else we got 26 more
49:34 parameters blah blah oh we're expecting oh we're expecting these bioses to roll
49:38 out sometime in the mid to late June time frame there are apparently a couple
49:43 boards that already have public betas the ga ax 370 gaming 5 from Gigabyte and
49:47 the Crosshair 6 from
49:51 ASUS Europe modernizes media rules keeps
49:56 TV relevant um this is a super boring weird
50:02 stuff apparently the revised directive gives broadcasters more flexibility as
50:07 to when ads can be shown the overall limit of 20% of broadcasting time is
50:12 maintained between 700 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. but instead of the current 12
50:16 minutes per hour broadcasters can choose more freely when to show ads throughout
50:20 the day okay so that gives them the ability to sell a lot more advertising
50:25 during prime time and then kind of ease off it when most people aren't listening
50:29 kind of like what you'll see them do on the radio where they'll have like an
50:32 hour of uninterrupted ad pre music when nobody's freaking listening anyway yeah
50:37 like really late at night they'll they even do like 4 hours or something like
50:41 during my morning commute on uh uh TSN 1040 it's the only radio station that I
50:46 still know exists um like every like
50:50 it's like an 18-minute drive and I will get like at least one ad for where to to
50:56 take my cumings Cummings tur turbo diesel yeah Cummings or Cummings
51:01 Cummings uh is a different all the car people are
51:06 coming for me anyway um so I can I know where to
51:12 get my diesel repaired I know where to
51:15 um Cummins okay I know where to go for
51:18 my uh my Freight and Logistics uh I know where I could buy a Chrysler and uh like
51:24 like all this they get like so many sponsor read in there so the reason why
51:27 we're saying Cummings and most people are probably freaking the heck out is that is a like trailer and engine shop
51:34 that's actually somewhat near us so we've probably seen their
51:37 advertisements that's a local shop okay it's cumins is this specific yeah okay
51:44 um so anyway what else are they doing can blah blah blah blah blah plat the
51:49 new proposed rules are platforms which organize and tag a large quantity of
51:52 videos will have to protect miners from harmful content such as pornography and
51:56 vience and protect all citizens from incitement to hatred so this is
52:00 basically kind of leveling the playing field a little bit like you know let's
52:03 let's take let's say some popular cancerous online
52:07 personality that that is driving viewers to a platform TV doesn't even really
52:12 have the option to like like if if everyone's kids are attracted to this
52:17 person who swears a lot and spews a lot of a lot of hate and garbage um but it's
52:23 driving traffic and driving Revenue to the platform basically what they're
52:26 trying to do is level the playing field a little bit they're going okay look you can't you can't Market that at at um
52:31 minor yeah okay we'll now ensure that
52:34 regulatory authorities are truly independent from government and Industry
52:37 to ensure that the audiovisual media Act is in the interest of the viewers and
52:42 they want to something something something something yeah I really don't
52:45 know if that's going to save TV but I wish some luck yeah oh good
52:52 wonderful just when I was enjoying the Galaxy S8 and its Iris scanner
52:57 uh this is from bleepingcomputer.com the Sam excuse me the Samsung Galaxy S8 Iris
53:02 scanner is apparently easily hackable and fooled by
53:07 a photo which is funny because I remember
53:11 specifically sitting in a Samsung
53:14 briefing for the Note 7 they see they promised all kinds of things about the
53:18 Note 7 they promised it wouldn't explode well they didn't
53:21 specific never came up but they said
53:24 that the Irish scanner wasn't going to be like facial recognition and that it
53:28 wouldn't be easy to fool but apparently a photo of a
53:33 person's eye taken at medium distance is more than enough to trick a Samsung
53:36 Galaxy S8 smartphone according to researchers from the chaos computer
53:41 group so they're saying that they use depth scanning to try to like make it
53:45 more advanced and that whole advancement
53:49 was bypassed uh by gluing a contact lens
53:52 on top of the image creating a round surface on top and that successfully
53:57 tricked everything
54:02 interesting so and this is because modern Iris scanners and facial
54:06 recognition systems are programmed to use image depth in order to distinguish
54:11 between photos and a human or like other
54:15 three-dimensional object so uh I think there's a number of different ways that
54:19 you could break that to be honest clever trick and this is great uh to get the
54:24 best results with your hack you are going to want to use a Samsung
54:28 printer perfect uh so take photos using
54:32 the camera's night shot mode as it captures Iris details better and then uh
54:36 he got the best results with a Samsung laser printer the thing is okay to be
54:40 fair that out of everything on this article that seems a little
54:43 sensationalist cuz he might have had like a junko printer and then like the
54:49 really expensive Samsung printer that he bought and been like H guess what or he
54:55 had just two different Sam printers and was like yeah my best result great was
55:00 off the only one I had thanks Samsung for uh sponsoring this article on it not
55:05 so much okay we've got an iPhone rumor so
55:10 why don't we move on to something else researchers engineer shapeshifting
55:17 noodles researchers from MIT engineer
55:21 noodles that can change shape so these sheets of gelatin transform into to 3D
55:26 shapes when dunked in water which could save on food shipping costs oh solving
55:33 the world's problem one air pocket at a
55:37 time need to change shape though well
55:40 because people like noodles in different
55:43 shapes people like I like bow ties you know my family always called
55:48 them diapers why that's gross think
55:51 about that next time you're eating uh pasta
55:56 why would you do that especially if you've got kind of like a like a really
56:00 chunky sauce in it just great think about that while you eat it okay some
56:04 like not minced enough chunky diapers chunky diapers um yeah with like a
56:09 yellow curry yeah
56:13 so why did you have to bring Curry into
56:17 it it looks the same going in as coming
56:22 out oh that was good that was good that was good that was awful it was I thought
56:27 okay at first I thought this was like a feed the hungry thing not just we're
56:32 going to save money on shipping cost because that's a good idea yeah so the
56:35 researchers created flat discs that wrap around beads of caviar similar to can
56:39 canoli canoli I don't know much about caviar so as well as spaghetti that
56:44 spontaneously divides into smaller noodles when dunked in hot water like I
56:48 could see if if they if they get away with it
56:52 I could see craft buying this like
56:55 patenting the crap out of it and that being like the only pasta my kids would
56:59 eat they'd be like no it'll like grow we
57:03 want the purple ketchup and we want the we want the magic
57:07 noodles but now the craft package instead of being this big and that thick
57:12 yeah it would be like you would just take like this brick of noodles it would
57:16 be like you know like uh like the food synthesis machines on like futuristic
57:21 shows right where you just like have the little brick thing and you throw it in and it's like pasta yeah and I mean
57:26 knowing craft they'd find a way to find something that tastes nothing like
57:30 cheese but is somehow delicious anyway and mix it in there all pre-done you
57:34 just be like it's it's like a it's like a it's like a KD Square yeah um and
57:39 maybe if America is really nice and eats
57:42 up all their vegetables they'll get the good version this
57:49 time oh my goodness this is interesting
57:52 apparently even if you were to pack macaroni perfectly which would be the
57:56 the be all and end all of OCD um you still end up with
58:01 67% of the volume wasted as air I'm not even surprise yeah that that makes sense
58:06 yeah so it would be drastically smaller than before okay so do you remember how
58:10 we had talked about as like an offshoot business potentially building like VR
58:16 like VR arcades or like local VR centers just as like kind of a hey LMG has some
58:22 some cash flow why don't we like invest in a new business idea I'm actually glad
58:26 we didn't because IMAX is apparently
58:30 opening up virtual reality centers and
58:33 uh I'm sure that IMAX is going to do it better than we would W it's also really
58:38 expensive yeah it's really expensive but IMAX is going to be kind of like the
58:42 premium option uh they actually talked about this a fair bit at the Acer event
58:46 that I attended um a few weeks back and basically they're like creating custom
58:51 so they've got all the Partnerships with the film industry so they want to create
58:55 custom content with like ale a IPS so people can go in
58:59 and have like there's a quote here that
59:03 says you walk out of a movie all excited about having seen John Wick or the
59:06 Avengers and you can walk right next door like within the same building right
59:11 next door uh not like to the next building and continue being immersed in
59:16 that experience because you can like continue the story as that character or
59:19 whatever which is pretty sick so in the first four months of 2017 the pilot
59:24 Center that they have down in LA Register more than 25,000 admissions
59:28 with an average revenue of $155,000 per week so they're planning five us centers
59:33 and they talked about at least uh back at the Acer event how they could see
59:37 this becoming like a worldwide freaking
59:40 thing um so what we had talked about was
59:43 really a lot smaller it was kind of like you'd go into like a little place and
59:48 there would just be like you know machines set up and you could play V
59:52 games we took some inspiration from a few of the like interesting Tech places
59:56 around the world videos that I've made y um and it was going to be like a cool
60:00 place to hang out there was probably going to be some food and like maybe a
60:04 bar and then in the back somewhere there'd be like VR areas where people
60:10 there'd be like a TV setup for each station so your friends could like kind of watch you play and there would be
60:14 enough setups that you could all play against each other with each other or
60:17 whatever but we decided not to not only because um well we had the foresight to
60:22 kind of realize that if it was super worth it some else would probably wreck
60:26 us anyways which sounds like ended up being what was going to happen and also
60:31 uh that VIIs wasn't at all ready yet when we wanted to do
60:35 it um oh you know what uh Guildford Maul
60:38 has a little VR thing it's like 35 bucks an hour or something like uh when I went
60:43 in there were like three or four people playing I just walked past him I was
60:47 like yeah and I kind of popped my head in but uh
60:51 yeah I think uh that's probably pretty
60:54 much it for the show but I do have kind of a bombshell to drop for those of you
60:59 who have made it this far so um it's uh
61:04 it I I regret very much to inform you
61:07 guys this will be I mean I want you guys to kind of to kind of hear about it from
61:11 us rather than just kind of figure it out eventually but uh Nikki ve Nikki V
61:18 is moving on from lonus Media Group uh this is not an April Fool's prank do not
61:23 adjust your calendars um basically he's actually
61:27 taking a position making biking videos which actually makes a ton of sense for
61:32 him that's something that he's always been super passionate about but um I'm
61:36 excited for him yeah it's it's funny we've never we've never really lost
61:41 anyone who made it past their probation um and in two weeks actually Chelsea
61:47 left as some of you probably noticed already and we hadn't really kind of
61:51 figured out how to talk about that yet and uh Nick Van burkel will be no more
61:56 now he's still here for two more weeks um and I had actually asked him already
62:00 if not next Friday cuz I'll be in Taiwan but the Friday after which will be his
62:03 last day if he'd like to come on the W show and kind of hang out and maybe I
62:08 don't know chat with you guys do some Q&A whatever whatever just kind of chill
62:13 one last time um but that'll be that'll be a so I I had an idea off the stream
62:19 but I feel like I should pitch it now so I can get the support of the uh wano
62:23 audience oh my God everyone's freaking out yeah if helps at all I feel exactly
62:27 the same way but um it's it's it's I
62:30 think it's the right thing I think everyone here is freaking out to a certain degree but yeah I agree with lus
62:35 he's always been into bike stuff he's always been into outdoor videos
62:38 snowboarding videos bike videos or whatever and that's tot been his passion
62:42 I'm really excited for him I want to see the stuff he's going to make I I think
62:46 it's I don't think it's impossible that we'll ever cross paths again uh to be
62:51 clear we're we're we're parting on I mean it's still kind of you know it
62:56 still kind of stings but we're parting on good terms so I'm kind of hoping some
63:01 weird Tech thing will come out that is
63:04 very well displayed on a bike Y and we'll just be able to kind of work with
63:08 him there'll be an opportunity to collab a little bit it's not like he won't still be making videos he's uh he's not
63:13 moving out of the Vancouver area so he's not going to be like in a completely
63:17 other country or anything like that so it's uh it's it's it's what is it what
63:23 is it it's um sweet it's not it's not goodbye it's see you later yeah yeah
63:28 yeah so I had an idea um for like one
63:32 one kind of cool Channel Super Fun video that he
63:36 could do before he goes okay uh a last
63:39 tuneup a last tuneup Oh
63:43 Lordy uh it might be too much I don't
63:47 know it might be too much for me to handle I'm already going to think of him
63:50 every time I drive that car going to be
63:53 like ah Nicki V
63:57 for those of you that don't know which is probably not very many of you but um
64:01 Linus's car uh the super Civic or the
64:04 lambo as it's called was custom custom
64:07 modded painted designed inspired by uh
64:13 the one and only Nikki V yeah there it is there it is my
64:18 friends all the uh all the modifications he even replaced my windshield wipers
64:23 cuz he was like these are straight up dangerous yo
64:26 like these are not wiping your windshield
64:31 anymore painting the uh painting the racing
64:41 stripes so epic so epic yeah we we created a lot of
64:48 memories together
64:59 it's really funny sometimes I forget how
65:02 do people still look at it the same way or do you think it's like kind of known now I I no I was about to say sometimes
65:08 I forget how like ridiculous the car I'm
65:12 driving is and then like I'll drive past a
65:15 school and kids will start like cheering like what are they cheering oh oh right
65:21 oh it's the watermelon car oh it's that car again yeah so uh
65:26 uh it is with uh it is with a heavy
65:30 heart that I that I make that announcement got people asking what's
65:34 going to happen with Channel Super Fun Channel Super Fun's actually kind of up
65:38 in the air for a number of reasons um
65:42 not anything to do with like it's all it's already been up in the air for a
65:46 while um but we're really not sure what
65:49 to do with it like it's um it's at the
65:53 point now where instead of being fun it's kind of stressed ful to get them
65:56 done so an option could be to just like
66:00 not have an upload schedule for it yeah like to just do it whenever um another
66:04 option that I've proposed is still
66:07 having it be a weekly upload but just limiting the editing time down to pretty
66:11 much kind of cutting together some fun thing that we did and making making it
66:15 more about us just kind of going and doing something fun for a bit and less
66:19 about making a video that's fun yeah um so I'm I'm really just not sure um
66:25 yeah I'm not really sure where we're going to go with
66:31 that but uh that's that's where we're at
66:34 a lot of people are saying RGB the Civic RGB the Civic yeah that's illegal yeah
66:40 we'll we'll see we'll see I might I might I might want to leave the Civic as
66:45 is yeah in honor of Nikki V yeah
66:49 so all right well that's pretty much it for the W show for this week um I guess
66:55 we will see you guys again next week same bat Time same bat Channel if it's
66:59 all the same to you guys I have a big trip to Taiwan that I'm leaving for

67:08 great couple of days um oh yeah I wasn't
67:11 going to really do an Afterparty though no I know but we should show stuff yes
67:15 and things yeah for those of you who are not signed up for float playing Club
67:22 um come on guys get with the program we
67:25 got a lot of great stuff over there so you can get the next episode of
67:29 scrapyard Wars hold on I'm just uh I'm
67:33 just trying to remember which one is the right one I
67:38 think I think this is it um I'm trying
67:41 to log into
