0:00 now I already looked at the rat 7 on my channel and that was the highest end of
0:05 the rat rat series of well mice I guess
0:08 they're rats if you want to be really technical about it see rat kind of like
0:12 that so uh that is the highest end from this series so now we're going to have a
0:16 look at the rat 3 which is the value rat
0:20 mouse so the first thing that stands out about the rat 3 is it lacks some of the
0:24 customization options of the Rat 7 it also is a lower DPI sensor so it is a
0:31 3200 DPI sensor so let's have a look at
0:34 what else sech has to say for this particular gaming mouse okay 3200 DPI we
0:39 got that next we have low friction PTFE
0:43 slick feet all right so what I normally call slippy pads they're calling slick
0:48 feet I guess either one of those terms will do and we have a goldplated USB
0:51 connector to make sure that you've always got good contact it's going to be corrosion resistant all that good stuff
0:57 okay so 400 to 3200 DPI in 400 DPI steps
1:00 I like that it's uh quite a bit finer than some of the other gaming mice that
1:04 I've seen out there acceleration up to 10 G's uh pulling rate is dynamic up to
1:09 500 Hertz so that is 500 times per second tracking speed is up to 1.2 m/s
1:15 wow good luck moving a a mouse that fast
1:18 okay everything else here is fairly straightforward okay LED colors are red
1:22 blue and purple for each mode all right
1:26 cool nothing on this side on the other side we see oh yeah we already looked at
1:29 this remap programmable buttons and create custom macros with the powerful
1:34 St software okay that's something I didn't see before uh for user definable
1:38 DPI settings and nine user definable commands via three programmable buttons
1:42 and a three position mode switch okay so why don't we start getting this thing
1:46 open if I can figure out how to open the box I had
1:51 a lot of trouble with the rat 7 as I recall so there's actually four mice in
1:55 the rat series there's the three the five the seven and the nine so they've
1:59 conveniently built themselves in enough room to do an entire upgraded series
2:03 called the 4 6 8 and 10 I guess uh so
2:07 the main differences are in terms of how much customization there is okay so the
2:12 the rat 7 you can change almost every dimension of the mouse even uh how much
2:17 customization there is and what features it has so the rat 9 for example is
2:21 basically a wireless version of the Rat
2:24 7 just in case you were wondering what is the difference between the nine and
2:28 the seven so yeah this packaging is just a total bear to get open there we
2:35 go aha so let's find the accessories here inside
2:40 first there we go so cyborg so it's a
2:43 sech brand uh which is I believe a mad
2:46 cats brand so sort of brand within a brand within a
2:51 brand ultimately as long as it's good stuff it doesn't really matter okay so
2:55 here we go cyborg gaming.com includes ah here we go here's a summary look look at
3:00 that they're going to make life easy for me
3:04 okay so oh fly so these are the
3:07 keyboards okay so there's the clip cyborg keyboard there's a
3:12 fly okay oh no fly is a joystick aha
3:15 that helps okay look product guide I love this okay so the three four user
3:20 definable DPI settings okay the five has uh 30 G of
3:25 removable weights I don't believe we're going to find removable weights in the
3:28 three 15 us definable commands via five
3:32 programmable buttons so there's one of the differences the rat 7 yes
3:36 interchangeable Pinky and palm rests four user user definable DPI settings
3:41 Precision aim mode that one is the fully
3:44 featured Mouse and then the rat 9 is the
3:48 wireless version of that guy okay so
3:52 let's look at the rat 3 Mouse and see
3:56 what we think of it
3:59 hm really oh okay they've fastened it
4:03 with a twist tie here I was like why can't this come out and then I realize
4:08 why it can't come up so I've completely trashed the packaging now all right so
4:13 let's see what we can adjust oh looks like we do have some adjustments we have
4:17 we have more customizability than I had originally thought
4:20 so here we go let's have a closer look at this guy first of all we've got the
4:26 uh hex key right here so that one is is
4:29 to slide this back and forth
4:33 okay next we have a hex key over
4:37 here and that
4:41 one H how does that move
4:44 it guess I'll have to figure this out off
4:47 camera okay so I have figured it out the
4:51 rat 3 is not adjustable in any way these
4:54 are to label the back and forward buttons so let's go through everything
4:57 that is included on this mouse why don't we start with the forward and back
5:01 buttons so these are programmable buttons you can change what you want them to do and that is a pretty cool
5:07 thing okay here we have indicator LEDs for the DPI settings so you have up to
5:12 four user definable DPI settings and you can pick the mode here that you desire
5:18 okay and there's also a DPI adjusting
5:21 button here okay this is rapid fire this
5:24 is your right click which is not rapid fire okay over here on the other side
5:29 you have no buttons now unlike the higher end mice the rat 3 does not
5:34 include like a metal plate on the bottom it is a fully plastic design you have a
5:40 oh yeah you have a middle click as well as a mouse wheel should show you that
5:43 this is just for show as far as I can tell it's kind of like a cool uh like
5:49 cooling pipe looking thing that's uh
5:52 built right into the mouse now it's quite even though it looks like there's
5:55 kind of pieces missing and it might not be comfortable it actually fits quite
6:00 nicely into like a a claw type grip and
6:04 the thing about that particular grip is it's pretty flexible you can use a small
6:07 Mouse whether you have small hands or big hands you should be able to hold the
6:10 rat 3 fairly comfortably for gaming so
6:14 there's
6:18 your uh laser sensor on the bottom and I forget
6:24 how many DPI it is a 3200 DPI laser
6:28 sensor it's actually labed right there good for me and there are your slippy
6:32 pads on the bottom of the mouse including a very large one over your
6:37 thumb cuz that's probably where you're going to be putting a lot of pressure if
6:40 you hold a mouse anything like the way that I do so thank you for checking out
6:44 my unboxing of the Rat 3 don't forget to subscribe to lonus techtips for more
