we are here at dell where they're showing off the new xps 13 and
0:13
naming scheme aside it looks pretty darn impressive the
0:18
first thing we noticed about it is that it is way smaller they actually removed
0:23
24 of the overall volume and they did all
0:28
of that while making some pretty impressive upgrades so the bezels are
0:32
even thinner it weighs even less at only about 1.2 kilograms and it packs 80
0:39
percent more performance so it's got an 8th gen up to core i7
0:45
processor and due to dell's unique cooling approach they are actually
0:49
claiming that they're going to be able to turbo this bad boy up higher and for
0:54
longer and they're able to do this thanks to the dual heat pipe dual fan
0:59
cooling solution that's capable of dissipating up to 27 watts that they've
1:04
packed in here they've added their insulation to the bottom and the top to
1:07
keep too much of that heat from being passed to the user and there are a bunch of other creature comforts as well it
1:12
ships with up to a 4k HDR touchscreen
1:15
display with full coverage of adobe RGB the i o is a pretty solid mix with a
1:20
three and a half millimeter jack usb 3 a micro sd and dual Thunderbolt included
1:27
Windows hello with an ir emitter for face detection is included and
1:32
even better than just being included it's no longer at the bottom left so
1:35
they're just tied for the worst placement of their webcam instead of
1:39
being actually the absolute worst and they are claiming up to 19 hours of
1:44
battery life on this puppy what's more the white version they say is smudge
1:49
resistant they wouldn't let us actually put permanent marker on it but they say
1:52
that a lot of things should be able to just wipe right off
1:55
like the rest of dell's 2018 lineup it includes dell's mobile connect software
2:00
which allows you whether it's Android or iOS to take calls answer messages and on
2:06
Android even use apps just on an application on your desktop wirelessly
2:11
and they are expecting it to be available sometime in march
2:16
so thanks to lastpass for sponsoring this video lastpass is a key part of the
2:20
way that we manage our credentials and information for events like ces
2:25
the last thing you want to be doing in the middle of the night when you're
2:28
trying to get an upload up is calling someone else who may actually be
2:33
sleeping to try to get a password or trying to do a password reset when then
2:39
maybe you're on a new device because sometimes we use unfamiliar laptops that
2:42
are you know more editing capable when we're doing trips like this you're not
2:46
logged into anything lastpass takes care of all of that it allows you to manage
2:50
your password safely and securely with a
2:53
one strong password and optional two-factor authentication so you never
2:57
have to reuse a password again and it even allows you to easily share with
3:02
other people so if that sounds good to you whether you're looking at the premium option for personal use the
3:07
team's option for small business or the enterprise option for large business
3:11
check it out today we're going to have that linked in the video description
