0:00 this is going to be a quick overclocking guide well not really guide just an
0:03 overclocking result video for the GeForce GTS 450 Cyclone from MSI so I
0:10 have dialed in my final overclock on the GPU so I've got 942 MHz on the core
0:17 2.22 GHz on the RAM and the Shader with
0:21 all firmy architectures is locked to the core at this time I have maxed out the
0:25 voltage but you can see my temperatures are still well within reason at about 60
0:30 ° with uh 64% fan speed which isn't too
0:34 loud really considering that the GPU is under full
0:37 load so I'm just going to do some performance benchmarks and then at the
0:41 end of this video you'll see What GPU artifacting looks like in a very extreme
0:45 example of uh me pushing it a little bit too
0:50 far here's my default score with the GTS
0:53 450 Cyclone from MSI now bear in mind
0:57 this is going to be a little bit higher than what we'd get with a stock clocked
1:00 GTS 450 because the Cyclone OC which I
1:04 didn't mention before it is an OC card is stock overclocked so uh there you go
1:09 there's our Baseline and I'll be back
1:13 with the overclocked performance in a
1:17 moment so you can see here with my overclocking profile which I actually
1:20 did have to adjust slightly since I did that last shot the RAM was not it was
1:25 stable in fir Mark but it was not quite stable in 3D Mark Vantage I was getting
1:28 some artifacts so my final overclock ended up being 942 MHz on the core 2.2
1:33 GHz on the RAM so you can see with that overclock we managed to get a pretty
1:38 sizable increase in our Vantage score and uh I guess that pretty much
1:42 concludes my overclocking results for the MSI GeForce
1:47 gts450 Cyclone well this is probably the
1:52 funkiest example of artifacting I've ever seen I'm working on my overclocking
1:57 guide I guess I'll just uh throw this video at the end of the overclocking
2:01 guide but uh I turned up the memory clock to 2.3 GHz and even turning it
2:07 back down didn't fix it but I just wanted to show you guys this is a fairly
2:11 extreme example of what uh artifacting
2:14 can look like you can vaguely see the ring from furmark spinning sometimes in
2:18 the background but other than that the screen is basically gibberish now odds
2:24 are excellent I haven't damaged the card you can see I've set it back to what I
2:28 know is a safe setting so I've still got the core cranked up and I've still got
2:34 the uh memory clock at 2.25 GHz actually
2:38 it was stable a little higher than that so we can try one more setting anyway
2:41 this is just part of the process and uh sometimes you get some pretty
2:45 spectacular fireworks displays when you're overclocking a graphics card
