welcome to my unboxing in first look oh it fell at the fantex phtc 90 LS this is
0:14
a lowprofile cooler from fantex and the last cooler we looked at from them was
0:19
anything but low profile it was like a huge like Tower thing and came in a
0:23
variety of Colors Let's see what they have to say for themselves about this one so supports LGA 2011 LGA 1155 and
0:30
1156 it's low wow it's a low that's a low profile LGA 2011 cooler especially
0:35
given there's like six core processors on there so their patented physical
0:39
antioxidant thermal Shield technology dramatically increases the cooling
0:42
performance and reliability by deflecting thermal radiation from other heat sources non-toxic able to withstand
0:47
temperatures of up to 200° this is only
0:50
27 mm tall or 45 mm with a fan and compatible with small form factor cases
0:54
with a 45 millimeter clearance the 36 millimeter heat pipes are aligned to
0:58
ensure optimal I didn't even see the heat pipes okay the pH f90 pwm premium fan uses U
1:04
updraft floating balance bearing I've never even heard of that before so I
1:08
guess that makes it quiet eliminates vibration and provides a simple solution
1:12
for quiet and smart fan control takes only less than a minute to install thanks to the provided mounting kit only
1:17
requires four screws and made of high Purity ah yes their thermal compound is
1:21
like a diamond compound like something like an IC um IC compound cold plasma
1:27
spray spraying coating technology is a new in Innovative deposit that transfers
1:32
heat onto corresponding Metals at a more rapid rate enhances the thermal contac
1:36
of the soldered connectors and what not and hooa let's see what kind of
1:42
a um TDP it's rated up to it looks like
1:46
we don't ah yeah up to 130 watt TDP So in theory this thing can handle six
1:50
cores updraft floating balance bearing up to from 1, to 2500 RPM and at 19 to
1:57
26 DB is the actual r
2:00
thing we got going so here's this floating bearing fan which I'm sort of
2:04
interested to check out so I guess so something to do with the actual force
2:10
that it exerts down on sort of the the air lifts it a little bit and reduces
2:15
the overall friction so that's sort of neat I don't know how well that would
2:18
work sideways or sideways or would it yeah no it should still move it away so
2:23
okay here's a back plate for LG 1155 and
2:26
1156 very sturdy very thick that's about
2:30
what you'd want okay more uh more
2:34
packing materials here more accessories in a box and let's see what we got so I
2:39
guess more mounting gear so here is an
2:43
accessory for presumably fan mounting
2:46
okay next is screws for LGA 1155 and
2:50
1156 and finally screws for LGA 2011
2:54
then a nice big thing of included thermal compound very nice
2:58
okay now we
3:02
have there we go the heat sink itself which is okay how exactly does
3:07
this work so there's in theory three heat pipes in there here maybe you'll be
3:12
able to see them a little bit better down there so there's a thick base that
3:15
has there see you can see that these aren't just bare metal these have that
3:20
coating that they're talking about that apparently reflects heat away from this
3:26
and then also allows heat to be conducted more
3:30
uh more better sort of off of them by the air so you mount this just by using
3:34
the included bits and pieces so you kind
3:37
of have it on there and they're say they're saying this thing's capable of
3:41
cooling a six core the base is uh machine smooth so you can do the
3:45
obligatory sort of finger shot here thing and then uh it's a sort of a
3:50
raised base and then attached to the larger base that actually also acts as a
3:55
mounting plate and this sort of merits some uh some testing at some point in
4:00
the future here guys to find out how well this could handle something like a
4:03
six core because I mean in something like our shuttle PC over there that has
4:07
an extreme Edition in it something like this if it performs better than the
4:11
included cooler could be absolutely amazing and would make more space for
4:14
cable management and for cooling of other components inside the case as well
4:18
so thank you for checking out my unboxing and first look at the fantex
4:23
pH TC 90 LS which is a low profile file
4:28
cooler for Intel sockets it also includes a little instruction manual
4:31
here that gives you all the information you need about how to install the fan
4:35
clips and all that good stuff don't forget to subscribe to lus Tech tips for
