so today on my video blog we're going to be unboxing the Intel Core i5 750 LGA
0:06
1156 processor this is a quad core
0:09
processor that does not feature hyperthreading so that means in device
0:13
or in task manager you're going to see four CPU threads unlike the core i7 LGA
0:19
1156 CPUs which will see eight threads
0:22
in task manager so let's start by getting this open here so here is the
0:26
included CPU heat sink and we'll uh we'll just take the plastic clam shell
0:32
off it and one thing I wanted to show about this thing is compared to previous
0:36
Intel stock coolers this thing is just wussy look at it from the side it's only
0:41
about the width of a finger and you're expecting that to cool a quad core
0:45
processor something I definitely recommend picking up if you're looking
0:48
at one of these chips is something like a freezer 7 Pro rev 2 or the uh the
0:53
Noctua cooler that we also checked out on my video blog so let's have a look at
0:57
the chip itself here you can see the markings on thep show you the name of
1:00
the CPU the date of the manufacturer the clock speed and then if we take it out
1:04
of the little clamshell you can see on the back that's our LGA 1156 interface
1:10
so there's actually 1,156 pins on the back of that CPU now
1:15
the last thing you're going to find in here is the Intel installation
1:20
instructions warranty information and an Intel Inside logo cool thank you for
1:26
checking out my blog on the Intel Core i5 750
