0:07 have you ever gone to one of those like um my family did this one year where you
0:11 do Christmas morning and everyone brings an unlabeled present and puts it under
0:17 the tree and it can be anything like uh you know it can be your old bowling
0:20 trophy or it can be something you bought at the store and that's actually kind of
0:24 cool and um as a kid the the first one I
0:28 went for was the biggest possible package and the reason I mentioned
0:31 bowling trophy is cuz that among with a
0:34 among a bunch of other random stupid knick-knacks is what was in my my secret
0:39 Santa gift so this is proof that not
0:43 every time when you go for the huge box will it be something stupid inside this
0:48 is actually a product that I am very
0:51 excited about because although AMD
0:55 ifinity technology has been on the market for quite some time
1:01 there hasn't really been a good
1:04 economical feasible way to run three
1:07 monitors other than like ghetto moding it and throwing three monitors on your
1:12 desk with their stands and running all the cables everywhere and it just it
1:16 doesn't look that good you can buy expensive stands but that's the problem
1:20 they're quite expensive uh I mean Samsung had their MD
1:25 2303 something I don't remember that the expensive thing with the three monitors
1:29 and the one stand built in but once again very very expensive well
1:35 XFX decided they were going to address that so this is the triple display
1:40 monitor stand from XFX that's right folks a reasonably priced triple monitor
1:46 stand from a manufacturer that you trust
1:51 XFX so let's
1:57 just get out of there the unboxing before the
2:03 unboxing I'm struggling here guys I'm struggling all
2:12 right all right there we go now we have the real box so we can clearly see what
2:17 is inside the box so that's it I won't be unboxing it today
2:20 bye yeah I'm kidding okay on the back
2:23 let's see what XFX has to say for themselves so it's designed to withstand
2:27 the most intense gaming sessions and extreme work dayss
2:30 uh adjust your monitors individually or collectively cool up to 24 in each for
2:35 height angle and rotation with the XFX triple display monitor stand your single
2:40 base will free up desk space while integrated Cable Management keeps chords
2:44 untangled and organized and it adds functionality to the already Sleek
2:48 design with two USB ports as well as
2:51 Jacks for your gaming headset cool so those are right in the front what's
2:54 included semi- adjustable HD pivot fully adjustable HD adjustable pivot extr
2:59 Fusion crossbar 1.5 in pole XFX plastic
3:03 cap crossbar Cable Management clip pole
3:06 management clip M4 Phillips pan head monitor mount screws an allen key
3:11 another Allen key a base instruction booklet 6 3 and2 mm stereo cables no a
3:16 6t 3 1/2 mm stereo cable and a 6t USB
3:21 cable so those are going to be just passrs so that you can plug from the
3:26 back of your case into the monitor stand and from the front of the monitor stand
3:31 into your headset or USB
3:36 devices inside we find
3:42 styrofoam with an XFX logo on
3:47 it next we find a manual for both dual
3:51 and triple display monitor stands now the triple one is the one that I'm
3:55 really interested in and that's the one that we have here today so they show us
3:59 the steps although this probably looks like a tech tips episode in its own
4:03 right uh here's pretty much what they want it to look like at the end so
4:07 there's you know your webcam and there's your three monitors with all of the
4:10 cables routed
4:14 okay and let's have a look at all the different things that are included it
4:17 comes on a lot of pieces so uh yeah here we go here's a USB A2B cable so that's
4:22 for the integrated Hub here's your 3 and 1 12 MIM audio jacks for your microphone
4:27 as well as your headphones very nice touch all
4:31 right see XFX is a gaming company so they put that extra little bit of
4:36 thought into things Gamers need a microphone and a headphone Port let's
4:39 provide it good on you guys okay here we have some uh Visa
4:46 compatible monitor mounting screws three sets of four all right we have a bag
4:53 then we have what appears to be a cable management clip of some sort you know
4:56 what if I get any of this stuff wrong I apologize guys because I haven't
5:00 assembled one of these yet so I don't know all right uh this looks like a
5:05 little cap for this tube okay with a
5:09 logo on it as well as a little clip on the back got a couple Allen Keys here
5:14 this looks like the main stand you can see it's threaded on the one
5:17 end and not threaded on the other end so that's probably where that cap goes all
5:23 right next we have the ARM assembly
5:27 itself so check this out guys so it's
5:32 uh don't know exactly how it works looks like something to do
5:41 with yeah I don't know guys but you can adjust these so I can tell you that
5:48 much okay and then you can tighten those up if you want them to stay there okay
5:53 let's see if I can find anything else adjustable here this looks like it's for
5:56 tightening this in place so you got one of these Nifty little guys right here
6:01 that you have on your uh cheap Jack included with your
6:05 car which I had to do the other day actually I had a flat tire on my car and
6:09 I had to take out the stupid Jack from under my spare tire install my spare
6:13 tire what a pain take my car to Costco get some new
6:17 tires all right there we go so let's put that away for
6:23 now without dropping it and breaking it because I still need it all right next
6:28 we have some more little clippy bits we have another piece of
6:36 Styrofoam wow that's pretty boss looking
6:39 all right ah here we have the pieces that make this other piece that I was
6:42 tinkering with before actually make sense because these aha I think I get it
6:48 okay these go on here like this okay see that Ridge
6:55 right there so these hook on there and then wow I already pretty pretty much
6:59 can't remove it look at that so it stays on really good so you put these on here
7:03 and then you attach monitors to them they can
7:06 slide what appears to be pretty much the entire length of this bar so you can
7:11 mount the monitor wherever you desire so if you have a few different size
7:14 monitors although that wouldn't make any sense uh you could potentially do that
7:19 if you wanted okay gives you a lot of flexibility if
7:23 nothing else got another one of these and another one of these so this looks
7:27 like the this looks like the center one because it's different from the others
7:32 and then these two no wait no this looks like the center one because it's
7:35 different from the others and then these two look like they must be the outer
7:38 ones and finally we have the base itself
7:42 which has got some weight to it which is good I was hoping it would have some
7:46 weight to it because you're going to put three up to 24 in monitors hanging off
7:51 this thing so you're going to need not only some weight to keep it from moving
7:55 around and tipping but also some surface
7:59 area or some some W width to The Stance
8:03 so even though we're going to have all this weight hanging off the front you can see XFX has designed this to lean
8:08 quite far forward so even if you try to try to tip it it shouldn't go anywhere
8:15 in the front here we have our microphone our headphone jack as well as our two
8:19 USB ports which you could use for example for your keyboard and mouse say
8:23 for example if you were I don't know a gamer okay and then in the back we have
8:28 the p pass throughs so there's your mic pass through your headphone pass through
8:32 and your USB hub on the bottom we
8:36 find some nonstick or nonstick uh
8:40 nonslip pads okay so these are all over
8:44 the place down here you can see there's far more in the front than there are in
8:48 the back in terms of the spacing the reason for that once again is because
8:51 most of the weight is going to be forward leaning on this particular
8:55 device and that is important for
8:58 stability all right thank you for checking out my
9:01 unboxing of the XFX triple display monitor stand I hope to get this thing
9:07 assembled and show you guys what it looks like with three monitors on it in
9:11 the next little while here and as always
