0:14 peripheral that you need I think need is a pretty strong word especially
0:18 considering the fact that it costs over $100 so if that scares you off then
0:24 Now's the Time to go but this is my unboxing and overview of the stinky foot
0:30 board the name it stinks um but the
0:33 product itself actually is outstanding
0:36 all right so let's see what's inside the Box I've been informed I have 80
0:39 salesman hair but I actually kind of like it so maybe I'll maybe I'll stick
0:43 with this look let me know in the comments if you think that I should I should stick with this or just get a
0:47 haircut you hippie that's fine too so once we open it up we find the stinky
0:51 footboard which is a four button foot pedal so this differs from the more
0:56 traditional foot pedals in that it has four buttons as opposed to a single Le
1:00 button we also find some Springs that
1:03 are colorcoded they have different tensions so the blue one is actually the
1:08 lightest one with the red one and the green one being the uh yes the middle
1:13 and then the hardest one nonresective cuz I said them in the wrong order also
1:18 inside we're going to find a detachable USB cable this is actually quite
1:21 important for a product like this more on that in a moment that plugs into the
1:25 bottom of the unit and last but not least the Allen key that will allow us
1:30 to swap out these Springs should we so
1:33 desire so let's talk construction guys if this is something that you're
1:36 expected to put your foot on or basically stomp on it's going to have to
1:39 be well built now I'm informed that the one that I was jumping on at packs had
1:44 actually been run over by a car and was still functioning so how do they achieve
1:47 that well it's got a T6 aluminum top plate it has a stainless steel Center
1:51 pivot bearing and a steel internal brace so the plastic that you're seeing here
1:56 isn't all that there is to it it uses a custom PCV on the bottom and even down
2:00 to things like the switches that they're using at all four corners I hope I can
2:04 show you guys this get you an angle on it there you go oh yeah that's Cherry MX
2:08 Blue so you're going to get a 50 million actuation cycle out of each Direction on
2:15 the stinky footboard another durability feature we find on the bottom is that
2:19 detachable cord I talked about before this is important for a couple of
2:22 reasons number one is this thing lives under your desk so the odds of this cord
2:25 getting destroyed are much higher than something else number two is is because
2:30 it lives under your desk and we don't know exactly where your PC might be
2:34 being able to replace the standard length cable with something that's
2:38 longer or shorter might help it fit in better with your cable management
2:41 strategy now they don't rely just on the detachable cable to save it in the event
2:45 of you know a cat or a foot accidentally catching on it and there's actually a
2:49 little cable routing c-shape here that will keep it from putting tension on the
2:53 connector at a weird awkward angle no matter what you do to the wire also on
2:58 the bottom we find the adjustable spring Springs so we found those tension Springs Inside the Box you actually get
3:04 10 Springs Total which was a little odd to me because I would have thought they
3:07 would just include four of each but you can see the stock load out has Blue
3:11 Springs on the sides so remember those are slightly lighter tension and Green
3:16 Springs on the ends so this can be adjusted to your heart's content the
3:20 only configuration you can't have is four of the heaviest Springs the red
3:25 ones so it looks like the way they expect you to use it is heavier ones in
3:29 the front and back because you're going to have more leverage when you're pressing down and then lighter springs
3:34 on the sides so this adjustability is great because you might want to use it a
3:37 number of different ways whether it's putting your foot on it this way putting
3:41 your foot on it this way leaning to the sides that way you want to be able to
3:44 adjust it to whatever suits you best now
3:47 what is the functionality of this thing exactly well it's different from other
3:51 foot pedals in that there's four different ways you can go with the buttons so this just gives you more
3:56 functionality than just binding something to push to talk or binding
4:00 something to close all your Windows when someone
4:03 opens up the door behind you or whatever else you might have bound to a foot
4:06 pedal no this is more for if you need additional modifiers or additional hot
4:11 keys so here's a great example is people will say well okay I've already got six
4:16 buttons or 12 buttons or 16 buttons on the side of my mouse why do I need
4:19 another four buttons and the answer is because however many buttons you might
4:23 have accessible to your thumb you still only have one thumb so this is another
4:29 function that you can enable at the same time as your thumb so the ways that I
4:34 see it being most useful are for things where your your your finger that would
4:39 otherwise be executing that action could be tied up so if I'm strafing to the
4:43 right and I need to reload and I don't necessarily want to stop strafing to the
4:47 right if I bind my reload here boom I can reload without ever taking a break
4:51 without ever stopping moving another great example push to talk if I don't
4:55 want to hold down my left thumb which is what I used to bind it to left thumb if
4:59 I don't want to hold that down while I'm talking to my teammates and I don't
5:02 believe in using voice detection because you know who knows what I might be
5:06 saying to the people around me that I don't want all my gaming buddies hearing
5:10 or who knows who might walk into my room and be inappropriate then what I can do
5:14 is I can just bind it here so I can just step and do that and not have it
5:17 interrupt my gameplay even when I'm speaking and there's endless
5:22 opportunities for bindings like this that are different than what you would
5:26 otherwise have access to so for example it supports four modifiers Keys now so
5:30 that's Control Alt shift and the Windows key giving you up to 16 functions down
5:34 here and you can do all kinds of crazy stuff like you could bind diagonal
5:37 movement is another thing that it does now or you could bind uh different
5:41 potions or different spells instead of using I mean I have small hands so
5:46 reaching up to the number keys for my tool belt actually isn't always
5:50 necessarily that convenient so having something like even two of these under
5:54 my feet and having them B to the first eight slots there would be much more
5:58 efficient than me taking taking my fingers off of the movement keys and then potentially not even finding my way
6:03 back so the functionality is all configurable within the driver which
6:06 they're constantly updating and I think it's really cool not only for your
6:10 typical gamer but also for people with disabilities as well so they have one
6:14 testimonial on their site that I think is really cool so the guy has it bound
6:17 to WD for his feet and then he doesn't have a left ARM so he uses his right
6:22 hand and then I guess you combind all those you know Fancy Pants extra Mouse
6:26 buttons you have to all the other things you need to do and enjoy a experience
6:30 that you otherwise couldn't if you were limited to only being able to control
6:34 your games with your hands so I think that's really cool it's not cheap it's
6:37 120 bucks um they asked me to mention that it's available at Future Shop and
6:41 Best Buy although I should also probably mention that my affiliate link is under
6:45 the video in the description so if you want to help us out then you can order
6:48 there as well if you're interested in it if you're not interested in it I think I
6:52 have a pretty good idea what your objections going to be it's really expensive it's over $100 for what is
6:58 effectively four buttons so if you were to just evaluate the cost of your
7:02 Hardware like per button with a keyboard you could spend over $100 on a
7:06 mechanical keyboard and get over a 100 buttons but it's not necessarily that
7:10 simple they're a startup company they have to have money to repay whatever
7:14 loans they've incurred up until now they have to have money to reinvest and make
7:17 new products especially if you want to see maybe a lower cost version in the
7:21 future or you know maybe like a tongue controller so that you can use your
7:25 mouth to issue additional commands I mean that could be very cool the more
7:28 ways we have to interface with our computer the better and I personally am
7:33 willing to help them out with that now I mean I mean think about it I was even
7:37 talking about a USB butt plug not that long ago imagine that as a control
7:41 device clench for push to talk like clinch to prone every time someone jumps
7:45 out from a corner and you get all tents you just automatically prone that's
7:48 amazing that's great functionality I that that is a million dooll idea right
7:52 there anyway press liked if you like the video press dislike if you dislike the
7:55 video or if you felt very strongly about that inappropriate final comment there
7:59 leave a comment on the video letting me know what you think of the stinky foot for what would you guys be willing to
8:03 pay if you know you had to wait a year or something like that for a lower cost
8:07 alternative or would you be willing to Pony up for this one right now and as
