0:00 Linus Tech tips coverage of CES 2015 is brought to you by Phantom glass visit
0:04 store. phantom.in screen protectors out there
0:08 as well as hyperx so we've got another thing to cover in Corsair Suite I guess
0:13 at some point they remembered that they used to be like a memory and Flash
0:17 Products company so they're showing off a few things there first up is their
0:21 Dominator ddr4 3400 MHz Dominator
0:26 Platinum modules that they've got running on the gx99 so see that super
0:30 overclock Champion board from Gigabyte that was just recently launched they've
0:35 got a CPU Z screenshot they're showing that it's running at 3.4 GHz this is
0:39 going to be a very limited production run it's going to be available on the
0:43 Corsair store and it's in this like sexy
0:46 orange color scheme that okay fine orange doesn't do much for for everyone
0:50 necessarily but what it definitely does is it goes well with the orange ring
0:54 they've got on the cooler and the orange motherboard that you're going to want to
0:57 be using if you want a Gigabyte super overclo board moving over here we've got
1:02 just a reminder oh yeah okay there's regular dominators that are more
1:06 reasonably priced and Vengeance lpx available in DDR4 and three as well as
1:13 ddr4 flavors so we've actually used their lpx a couple times in the past
1:17 that's their more more mainstream ddr4 although mainstream ddr4 is a little bit
1:21 of an oxymoron the more affordable ddr4 that has better compatibility with
1:25 things like nearby air coolers thanks to how low profile it is I think the lp and
1:30 lpx is for low profile they've got a new SSD that they're showing off this is the
1:34 neutron XT and rather than trying to sell this SSD based on well yes it has
1:39 you know 3% more iops and in your you
1:43 know your future marks you're going to get a slightly higher score they're
1:47 actually selling this for uh content creation so they've got a 4k camera here
1:52 this is a Blackmagic Cinema 4K they've got an SSD loaded into the side of it
1:56 and they're just saying well hey look in order to even record 4K raw you are
2:02 going to need excellent sustained right
2:05 speeds which is the one of the most challenging things to achieve on an SSD
2:09 especially once it's slightly full or once it's been used a fair bit and it's
2:13 uh not in a clean state so that's basically the demo that they've got
2:17 running here and of course an SSD that streams 4K content to the drive well is
2:23 also going to perform well for gaming
2:26 design or you whatever else it is that you're going to do with an SSD in your
2:30 computer ssds that don't go in your computer are over here and we've
2:34 actually arranged them all I had them take them all out of the you know boxes
2:39 for me so they've done pretty much uh a visual and sort of feel Refresh on some
2:44 of their USB drives so the Voyager GTX now has a friction closing lid as
2:50 opposed to a clippy lid and has a metal clip on the back I complained about the
2:55 plastic clip on the old id happy to see the metal click clip return although i'
2:59 prefer if it was a steel bit embedded in the
3:02 back and not aluminum cuz those can break eventually the Voyager GS is their
3:06 lower performance lower pric not SSD controller high-capacity USB 3 drive and
3:12 it also has the same housing and then over here is the slider X1 and X2
3:18 contrary to what you might think the X1 doesn't come with one in the package
3:21 with the X2 coming with two in the package but rather it's just a
3:25 performance difference and a color change so you slide them you pop out the
3:30 USB interface at the end and bippity Boop there you go it's a USB drive so
3:34 that pretty much wraps it up for Corsair's memory products don't miss any
3:37 of our CES coverage by making sure you're subscribed and I want to do a huge shout out thank you thing to
3:43 Phantom glass for allowing us to be here at the show you guys can check out their
3:46 awesome screen protectors at store.
3:56 phantom.of Gorilla Glass and they've got a nano coating on the back of them that
4:00 makes it pretty much impossible to apply them with a bubble something I don't
4:04 mention often enough I think is that they are actually removable and reapply
4:10 as well so for whatever reason you have to let's say RMA a phone for example you
4:14 can take it off send the phone back in get it back throw your screen protector
4:18 back on throw your third party case back on it's compatible with third party
4:21 cases and it's Off to the Races also sponsoring us here on the show is hyperx
4:25 check out their YouTube channel it's youtube.com/ X that and the Phantom
4:30 glass shop are linked in the video description hyperx has a lot of great
4:33 gaming content on their YouTube channel you guys want to check that out so
4:36 thanks for watching and we'll see you at our next CES 2015 video
