0:00 our ces 2019 coverage is brought to you by dbrand their grip case is Linus
0:05 accident proof and their prism screen protectors protect your screen like
0:09 really really well before that though check out this so razer is updating the
0:15 blade advanced as you might expect it is
0:18 now going to be available with an rtx 2060 that is a non-max q that is a
0:22 full-fledged rtx 2060 or an rtx 2070 or
0:27 2080 even both of those ones with max q
0:32 design as NVIDIA says also known as with the clock speeds
0:36 throttled a little bit but that's not even the most important
0:40 thing they changed about this get get get in here get in here check this out
0:43 okay so first of all that right there yes my friends we've got Windows hello
0:48 with the ir camera so finally alex can stop complaining
0:53 about razer laptops not having that feature and come check this out oh
0:59 what and you're probably like well what was
1:02 the big deal there i don't really get it hold on a second where's my where's mine
1:06 here okay okay now we look at it side by side the
1:10 secondary functions of the keys are illuminated i have been complaining
1:16 about this for three years this is a
1:19 huge bummer for me actually being that backlighting on the secondary functions
1:24 of the f keys and the number row is no
1:28 longer backlit which sucks because these are the things that i'm most likely to
1:32 have trouble remembering in the dark three years they traded
1:37 having all the functions illuminated for chroma and i was like really guys really
1:43 we're killing functionality over RGB well now we can have both and the best
1:47 thing is they didn't have to change the key switches so these are still the same
1:51 ones that both alex and i liked from the original blade advanced there's a couple
1:56 of other tweaks it can now accept up to 64 gigs of RAM though razer doesn't
2:00 currently have any plans to offer a configurator on their site so you could
2:05 actually have it shipped with that so they're all 16 gig configurations out of
2:08 the box they have tuned the speakers a little bit and i think that's pretty
2:13 much the majority of it still 144 hertz display but
2:17 on the display front there's some other interesting news they've got a prototype
2:20 here with a 240 hertz display silky smooth it's only
2:25 1080p but if i was an esports player a 240hz display with an rtx 2060 would be
2:31 a pretty nice place to be in terms of a cost to performance and experience ratio
2:36 and this one right here is the one that really
2:40 grabbed our attention when we walked in the room this has a prototype OLED
2:45 display and they haven't really
2:48 well they don't have anything to really tell us about when we could expect to
2:52 see something like this or even if the OLED manufacturers are going to figure
2:56 out the burn-in issues that have plagued them up until this point but
2:59 wow does it ever look good it looks exactly like you'd expect as good as
3:03 OLED but on a laptop razer also has a monitor it's up to 144
3:08 hertz it's got razer chroma RGB in the
3:12 base freesync and ah yes right this is going to be
3:17 their claim to fame on this guy the forged aluminum stand that still manages
3:23 to have height adjust so that's pretty nice and built-in cable management so
3:27 these are usb so you can plug in your peripherals and then it's got a single
3:31 type c that it uses as an uplink and then also HDMI and uh
3:36 uh this one's tethered to a power brick down here
3:40 6.99 for that guy so that's all pretty good stuff but the coolest thing we saw
3:44 was actually on the peripheral side for a change i don't even think we've made a
3:49 video about razer's peripherals in their suite in at least a couple of years but
3:53 this is something that once again i thought i
3:57 was going to think that it was stupid
4:00 but then it was far less stupid than i thought i
4:04 would think it would be so this is razer's vibrating headphones
4:10 which we reviewed recently and said well it's actually not that stupid
4:16 now now we see maybe not the end game but certainly the
4:21 next step in the game because everything that i am touching right now
4:27 that is to do with my gaming experience has haptic feedback so this wrist rest
4:33 has a haptic motor over here on the left exactly where you'd rest your hand on
4:37 wasd and it's strong enough that you can actually kind of feel it throughout the
4:41 keyboard but subtle enough that it's not just like well you know old haptics
4:45 where you're holding the controller and it's like
4:49 like it's not like that the mouse has a haptic motor in the palm and then the
4:54 chair actually has haptic feedback in
4:58 this uh this rear cushion here and the way that this works is just like the
5:02 headphones where depending on the direction that sound is coming from so
5:07 it uses surround sound data it gives you a haptic response so as you're stepping
5:12 around you can actually feel it in the keyboard as you
5:17 use your jetpack you can actually
5:20 feel the rumble behind you and if you fire a rocket for example and
5:26 turn around you feel it in the back and if you fire a rocket and it's in the
5:30 front you feel it more in your keyboard and in your mouse
5:34 even though overwatch doesn't have any specific tuning
5:38 for these peripherals it works shockingly well now razer's vision for
5:43 the future is that they would actually be able to get this technology
5:46 integrated into games and i'm sure they'd love to see a wide variety of
5:51 different peripherals and wearables to enhance the gaming experience
5:56 and i don't think they really envision it as something that's for competitive
5:59 players but if you're just looking for immersion
6:04 it is shocking how not dumb the whole thing feels even in these very
6:09 early stages so i think that wraps it up for the razer booth
6:13 as always this year our ces 2019 coverage is brought to you by dbrand the
6:17 dbrand grip case is all about helping
6:21 you keep a grip on your phone it's got this super grippy material it's got
6:25 their trademark extra clicky buttons all over the case and as before
6:32 it is basically Linus proof it's dbrand
6:35 so you can customize it with any look you'd like and the whole thing is
6:39 precision fit for your device they're prism screen protectors on the other
6:43 hand these are oh these are something else just like the grip it protects your
6:48 phone but the way it does it just blew my mind the demo you're watching right
6:52 now none of that is staged that's real that's a prism screen protector on the
6:57 front of the phone and it feels glassy but then you go and you hit it with
7:02 stuff or you hit your phone against stuff and somehow you can just peel the
7:05 whole thing away and it's like it never happened obviously don't be an idiot
7:10 you know if you you know put it under a hydraulic press
7:14 your phone's to get destroyed but between the grip and the prism man do
7:18 they have a phone protective solution on their hands and you can check it out at
7:21 the link below so thanks for watching guys don't miss
7:25 any of our ces 2019 coverage by making sure you're subscribed to the channel on
7:29 the front of the shirt right there and we will see you in the next suite
