So today we're going to be having a quick look at the Razer abysus Mouse so
0:04
this is a high Precision Optical gaming mouse and Razer does a great job of
0:08
their packaging so we can pretty much tell you everything about this product
0:12
just based on what they've put on the outside so first of all you've got a
0:16
handy little velcro window in to have a look at the mouse itself oh they even
0:21
tell you how to pronounce it so
0:24
Abyss abysus whatever okay it's a noun derived
0:28
from the something venomous pit viper subsp found only in the United States
0:32
blah blah blah 3500 DPI 3.5 GS of
0:37
acceleration awesome so they've added a really good sensor to even their value
0:42
line of gaming mice which is really cool because it means that we're starting to
0:46
see actually not just from Razer but a lot of really high performance value
0:50
gaming mice so here you can see it's reiterated we've got the 3500 DPI razor
0:55
Precision 3.5g infrared sensor three buttons tuned for Ultra responsive
1:00
feedback so that means you got a left click a right click and a middle click
1:03
and then you've got Hardware toggles for DPI and pulling rates that's always
1:06
really nice to have those are on the bottom of the mouse though so on the
1:09
higher end mice you'll tend to find those buttons on the top okay English uh
1:14
Ultra wide data path on the Fly sensitivity adjustment ambidextrous
1:18
design so they have released a couple mice lately that don't have completely
1:22
ambidextrous designs but this one is back to their Roots a little bit so you
1:26
can use it with either your right or your left hand it has a 7t light
1:29
lightweight non-tangle
1:33
cord okay you know what let's just get this thing open and we will go from
1:36
there so I actually have ah my keys on
1:40
me and I'm going to use that to open the box
1:44
here and see normally I actually start opening the box before I uh stop talking
1:50
about the product so that I'll have something to talk about while I'm opening the box but today I didn't
1:55
really do that so yeah I fail anyway
1:58
let's have a look at the accessories that are included with the abyssus first
2:02
okay we have like a black package here clipped to the back Razer does such a
2:06
great job of packaging actually a great example would be the laosa mirror
2:11
unboxing and product showcase that I did
2:14
you can just see what a phenomenal job they do with packaging some of their stuff so for gamers by Gamers
2:18
razerzone.com you find our little pack
2:22
here that has all of our necessary stuff inside so on the top you have a
2:27
certificate of authenticity this is a real Razer product certified by Razer
2:32
guy himself next you have a quick start guide which basically shows you how to
2:37
plug a USB port in and it also tells you where all the buttons are on the mouse
2:42
great thank you Razer all right then you have a master guide so I don't know how
2:47
they manage to make such a thick guide on a mouse but I'm going to guess okay
2:51
I'm going to go ahead and guess that it's just in a bunch of different languages and pretty much tells us what
2:55
all the buttons are and how to plug it into your computer yes thank you oh no
2:59
they give you a but this is kind of nice it's so rare these days to see a
3:03
hardware vendor give you an actual instruction guide on how to use the
3:06
software so often they just kind of throw you in and let you sink or swim
3:11
that's great okay then they have a razor product catalog so you bought this one
3:15
now buy other razor products to match not a bad strategy overall so they show
3:20
you a bunch of really cool there the leosa miror I've unboxed that one I've
3:24
unboxed the moo speakers which are awesome by the way okay then we've got
3:28
some razor stickers and then we have the abyssus so this is a little bit of a a
3:33
card on this mouse and why it's so great it seems seems kind of weird to sell a
3:38
product on someone who just bought it but maybe that's part of the unboxing
3:41
experience is you're unboxing this product hey you should feel good about buying this because it's back to the
3:46
basics quality reliability performance
3:49
No Nonsense straightforward gaming grade fundamentals that is what they are
3:54
saying about the abysses this is a noons product meant for just performance No
3:58
Frills no gimmicks just gaming all right so let's get this
4:02
out so this is one of the first razor products that I've seen without a
4:06
braided cord but it is quite a flexible
4:09
cord so you're not going to find it getting stiff when you're actually trying to move the mouse back and forth
4:13
and you can see even if you're moving front to back front to back you can bend
4:18
it quite easily there's not a lot of resistance there so here's a look at the
4:21
top of the mouse itself now I have quite small hands I'm going to get the
4:24
cameraman to have a quick zoom in here so you can see kind of from the side uh
4:29
what it will look like with my hand on it so there you go it's a bit of a
4:32
smaller Mouse but that's typical of a razor this is more of a claw type grip
4:36
Mouse rather than a palming Mouse because it's so short all right so here
4:39
are your hyper response buttons on the top and razor buttons it's kind of a
4:43
Love or haate sort of thing but they usually have a very uh responsive
4:47
trigger on them they're not a very heavy click and you can see that that trend is
4:51
continued here with the abysses the scroll wheel is feels quite nice and has
4:54
a rubberized grip on the top as does the entire top of the mouse okay and then
4:59
let's go around to the bottom here so here are our hardware switches for 125
5:04
HZ or 1,000 HZ so it depends how many times you want the mouse communicating
5:09
with your computer per second and then you can also adjust your DPI anywhere
5:12
from 450 to 1,800 to 3500 depending on
5:16
whether you are a low or high sensitivity gamer they've also included
5:19
a couple of slippy pads on the bottom they've got three on some of the higher
5:23
end mouse mice you'll find larger pads but I mean you can only ask for so much
5:27
out of a value product and it is enough for it to perform so thank you for
5:31
checking out my unboxing of the Razer abyssus
