0:00 thank you to Logitech and Discord for bringing us to paxi 2016 this year if
0:03 you want to see all of their stuff click their Link in the video description down
0:06 below so we are the Intel Booth checking out the skull Canyon the last time they
0:10 released something with the name of skull in it it was the skull Trail and
0:14 that was freaking badass and so is this
0:17 we've talked about on the W show before but now I finally get to see it in real
0:21 life let's check it out the main awesome thing about the skull Canyon is its size
0:25 and what it's able to do within the restrictions of its size this thing is 0
0:30 74 L of total volume Which is less than
0:33 two popcs for more exact dimensions it's
0:37 211 X 116 by 28 millime not inches or
0:42 centimet millimeters this thing is Tiny in terms of an internal Hardware which
0:46 is I know what you all want to hear about it has an i7 6770 HQ processor
0:51 running at 2.6 GHz at the like TDP all
0:54 day rating which is where it's able to comfortably sit all the time or when it
0:58 boosts up it can go up to 3 3.4 GHz for
1:01 expandability it has two so DM slots it can go up to 32 GB and currently
1:06 supports 2133 MHz for total speed for
1:10 drive expandability you have two m.2 slots which are able to fully support
1:14 the full speed of a 950 Pro so you don't really have to worry about storage
1:18 speeds either in terms of IO on the front you have an SD card slot a power
1:23 button two USB 3.0 ports one of which is a charging port so while it's off it can
1:27 still charge one of your devices a head Jack and an IR receiver on the back you
1:32 have power in a headphone SL Optical microphone Jack an RJ45 Ethernet gigabit
1:38 Port two USB 3.0 ports a DisplayPort a
1:41 USB 3.1 type-c connector and HDMI 2.0
1:45 for full 4K 60 HZ on the right hand side
1:49 you have a metal reinforced Kensington lock which is awesome because if it was
1:53 just plain plastic someone would just be able to rip it off the Kensington lock
1:56 which kind of defeats the purpose on the bottom for when you're taking apart
2:00 there's captive screws so you unscrew them and they actually stay connected to
2:03 the plate which is great because losing little tiny screws is super frustrating
2:08 and you have replaceable face plates on the top so you can have the awesome face
2:12 plate with the skull on it which I highly recommend you use or if you
2:16 needed more like a business application where you don't want to have skulls on
2:19 things you do have the mat plate which does still feature the hexagon pattern
2:24 on the left hand side which is super awesome and if you take that plate off
2:28 of the top you have more expanded IO for if you want to put this thing in your
2:31 own custom chassis or you just don't need the top cover for whatever reason
2:35 that IO is a USB 3.0 header which is not the standard one you'd find in a desktop
2:40 so you might have to go looking for a custom part for that a common IO header
2:45 which supports USB 2.0 lights switches all that kind of stuff and possibly an
2:50 NFC header but that's not necessarily finalized at this point for wireless you
2:53 have Intel Wireless AC which is probably what you expected and for power you have
2:58 120 W power from the wall wall which is running at 19 volts and 6.3 amps it
3:03 actually usually only pulls like 60 to 65 Watts but that extra expanded wattage
3:08 is there for things that might need to be powered over Thunderbolt speaking of
3:12 Thunderbolt you can do some pretty awesome stuff so that's nice and small
3:15 but if you want to expand it with a dedicated graphics card you can get
3:19 something like the Razer core run that Thunderbolt connection to it and run
3:22 what they're currently running which is an R9 Nano you can fit fullsize graphics
3:26 cards in here but they're running a nano Nanos are great I love Nanos that's
3:29 completely fine and you can do stuff like run Just Cause 3 completely fine
3:34 it's not even that easy of a game to run and they're running it no problemo so
3:38 that sounds pretty sick but when can you get your hands on one well they have
3:41 pre-orders right now on new EG but they won't be shipping until sometime in May
3:46 not entirely sure when during that month but it's May that's probably fine it's
3:50 about $650 suggested retail price not entirely
3:54 sure exactly how much it's going to cost and that is the barebone system so
3:58 without any memory and without without any storage space so if you are
4:01 interested check out newegg.com they have them for pre-order right now just search up skull Canyon like you to
