0:00 they're now rocking RGB LEDs a new 16,000 DPI sensor and a few new features
0:07 was it worth bringing back a 10-year-old design is the Mamba a wireless gaming
0:11 mouse worth
0:22 considering fresh books is the super simple invoicing solution that lets you
0:26 get organized save time and get paid faster click now to try it
0:31 free normally I don't care about Mouse packaging because they're usually not
0:35 worth caring about the Diamond Back was no different the Mamba on the other hand
0:41 came in a black metal box with no hint of what was inside except for a small
0:45 emboss razor logo first I tore open the
0:49 Diamond Back box and plugged in the mouse as I gaed at the mouse wheel razor
0:53 logo and strip around the edge of the mouse all moving around in a wave of
0:57 rainbow I thought this was going to be my go-to mouse for CSO for the
1:02 foreseeable future the final Mouse is my daily driver and with it I've risen
1:06 through the ranks of legendary Eagle to Global Elite to check out my review
1:10 click here however despite its pinpoint accuracy the feel and build quality pale
1:16 in comparison to the Diamond Back the textured rubber grips on both sides the
1:20 slightly textured plastic of the body left and right clicks and the bumpy
1:25 rubberized Mouse wheel with solid steps but the honeymoon period didn't last
1:29 long I find the narrow middle section where the grips are situated too narrow
1:34 there's no place to comfortably put my thumb in pinky as a mouse that can stay
1:38 planted on the desk it's fine in an RTS mooba or high sensitivity shooter a soft
1:44 grip is not that bad but seeing as how I have to lift almost constantly in CS:GO
1:49 and I have a tight grip on it I can't get comfortable or accurate and I
1:54 decided to move on before my wrist and fingers hurt even more in the all black
1:58 metal container the shaped foam cutouts held the Mamba its dock the detachable
2:03 cable and click tension adjustment tool with bigger grip pads on the sides a
2:07 hump that was further forward and big rounded thumb buttons it fit great in my
2:11 hand even though it was well above my weight preference of about nothing grams
2:16 it was comfortable out of the box the clicks feel far too light this is
2:21 actually a common complaint against the Death Adder but this time around Razer
2:25 provided a novel Solution on the underside of the Mamba you'll find two
2:30 adjustment notches to increase or decrease the click force and it works
2:34 perfectly just like the Diamond Back the Mamba felt and looked premium the
2:38 ability to tilt the mouse wheel left and right is also a nice addition all the
2:43 clicks were satisfactory and the lighting effects are just so pretty in
2:47 game I thought the performance was more than fine I wasn't aiming as fast as I
2:52 could with my lighter final Mouse but I wasn't doing too bad there were some
2:56 moments that felt a little bit off though and my tests outside the game
3:00 confirmed it for both the diamond back and Mamba which only makes sense as they
3:05 use the same sensor so this is where it
3:09 starts looking iffy the sensor initially seemed fine but the dreaded z-axis issue
3:14 that's plagued the Phillips Twi eye sensor since like forever is still there
3:20 when you lift the mouse the sensor translates it as movement down and to
3:24 the right no matter what the actual physical movement was at high
3:28 sensitivity you could move Mo your cursor to the corner of the screen just
3:33 by tilting the mouse up and down for a game like DOTA that's not too big of a
3:37 deal but for a high Precision game like csgo that's Game ending not as big of a
3:44 game Ender but still a big deal the Mamba sensor readouts in Wireless mode
3:48 seem to get spotty when you use Advanced custom lighting effects you can stick to
3:53 basic ones but you shouldn't have to strangely enough though playing in csgo
3:58 didn't seem to be affected by that issue as much as I thought at higher dpis I
4:02 think it might just exaggerate it so your mileage may vary overall I feel
4:07 like both the diamond back and Mamba suffered from the DPI race and change
4:12 for the sake of change the original Diamond Back had a rubber ring around it
4:16 and that's what you would hold on to this one just hurts your hand so while I
4:21 love the chroma effects the build quality is great and the click Force
4:26 adjustment on the Mamba is really neat I don't see why why they went with a
4:30 flawed 16,000 DPI laser sensor instead of their tried and true S3 988 or 89 and
4:38 I don't know who the Diamond Back is for
4:41 everyone I've asked has found it really uncomfortable if the Mamba had the same
4:45 sensor as the Death Adder I think it could outright replace it even for
4:49 competitive games running in Wireless mode and I guess that's where we are
4:54 they could have been perfect but they're not just a couple of bad decisions
4:58 ruined them for me and and at the price they're asking you could get more real
5:03 performance from somewhere else speaking of finding things somewhere else crunchy
