0:00 this is a pretty interesting looking product this is an AMD Fusion product
0:03 and it is powered by Gigabyte so this is the E350 n USB 3 it features 333 onboard
0:10 acceleration which we'll talk about a little bit more on the back a three-year
0:13 warranty in the US and Canada as well as Windows 7 support which it darn well
0:17 better support Windows 7 in this day and age it has Ultra durable 3 which
0:21 features a double thickness copper PCB and let's move along to the back where
0:26 we're going to discover some more stuff so USB 3 yeah that's fast okay s 3 6
0:30 gbit pers second also fast USB 3x power
0:33 this is a neat feature in addition to their onoff charge feature so you can
0:37 charge your devices up to 40% faster while the computer is on or off and the
0:42 3x USB power boost also allows you to run triple the number of USB devices per
0:47 Port that you would be able to off a regular USB port aha Ultra performance
0:52 so we have an APU an AMD dual core E350
0:56 processor with discrete graphics from
0:59 from the HD 6310 chipset I could call it a chipset
1:04 but it's not cuz it's all one unit so this is direct X11 graphics and a dual
1:08 core processor all in one we've got dual bio support with uh up to 3 tbte plus
1:14 hard drive support which is a good feature to have on a modern motherboard
1:18 let's see what we got inside so we got a users manual okay inside the users manual
1:24 probably find the usual stuff ooh including a block diagram here we've got
1:27 the Apu at the center of things power anything memory or PCI Express bus or
1:34 well okay PCI Express bus is powered off that as well as our outputs in terms of
1:40 video so there you go and then we've got the AMD Hudson M1 fch powering
1:45 everything else so that's your SATA your Lan your USB PS2 even all that good
1:50 stuff next we have the board itself we're not going to look at that just yet
1:54 let's have a look at what other accessories we have in the cleverly
1:58 packaged Gigabyte box here so we have an
2:02 IO Shield handily color coded for your
2:05 convenience and sure wish my camera would focus come
2:09 on focus focus there you go now you can even read all that stuff look at that
2:13 okay next we have two SATA cables one right angle not one not right angle we
2:19 have a Dolby Home Theater
2:23 sticker and then a multilingual installation guide book with a AMD
2:29 Fusion utility DVD so download the latest there's your chipset Serial ATA
2:33 network audio drivers Adobe Acrobat Reader just in case you don't have an
2:37 internet connection or you don't know how to download a goby reader okay let's
2:42 go ahead and put that stuff back in there and put that back in there and
2:45 let's get to the board cuz that's the part I think we're all interested in so
2:49 this is a fusion board which is very new
2:52 and very exciting it has an APU which is
2:56 both a CPU and a GPU roll gold into
3:01 one and the tape is incredibly stu oh
3:05 the tape is a lot longer than I had originally thought so it goes all the
3:09 way up here why we
3:13 just wow that's some stubborn tape so
3:17 we'll just take that off there you go all right comes in an
3:22 anti-static bag that looks like the right size for a graphics card certainly
3:26 not the right size for uh this motherboard a little on the big side
3:30 that's okay we'll let it slide this time so let's Orient this right side up here
3:35 we go so we have our CPU Apu GPU thing
3:40 here in the middle under this we've also got our IO control center okay so that's
3:46 the Hudson M1 that is also under this heat sink which is cooled by a single 40
3:51 mm fan 40 m yeah 40 mm okay we've got in
3:56 terms of layout we've got our four pin connector and it's I suppose ideal
4:00 location at the top left we've got dual Channel DDR3 so this supports DDR3 up to
4:07 1066 if I recall correctly but I didn't see any mention of that on the outside
4:11 of the box I mean this is not meant to be a
4:15 performance platform so you're not going to be running like DDR3 2000 RAM in it
4:18 it would be kind of pointless so here we have our front panel connectors right
4:23 here we've got our 24 pin power connector here and at the bottom we will
4:27 find a PCI Express 6 16x physical
4:31 connector but actually this is only wired for 4X electrical you can see the
4:36 pins if I can get it to focus adequately
4:39 yeah you can see the pins in the in the socket so it doesn't go all the way up
4:42 to 8X or 16x it only goes to 4X we've got our front audio header
4:48 right there and then we've also got front USB 1 front USB 2 both of those
4:53 are USB 2.0 I'm just numbering them here's our SATA 3 6 gbit per second
4:57 connectors so those are full speed say to 6 GB per second so you got full
5:02 support for the latest ssds and all that kind of good technology hard drives up
5:07 to three terabytes okay on the back we
5:11 find four USB 2.0 ports two USB 3.0
5:14 ports a PS2 keyboard mouse combo Port
5:17 whichever you prefer to plug in VGA DVI and HDMI outputs optical audio out glad
5:24 to see this even though we do have HDMI gigabit Ethernet and 7.1 audio hey look
5:29 at that Gigabyte's using screws on the back of the board it's a nice touch I
5:32 appreciate that it's uh more secure than push pins especially when it's kind of a
5:37 full coverage sort of solution where you're actually cooling two separate
5:41 chips under there you want to make sure it's making good contact then use screws
5:45 good strategy all right thanks for checking out my unboxing of the GAE 350n
