when I met with Corsair at PAX Prime 2016 they posed a challenge they told me
0:04
that they had seen my review of the fantex andu Evolve TG and knew that I
0:08
plan to use it for my personal rig update which is coming by the way I have
0:13
all the internal components now I'm just waiting on a few things for the actual
0:17
mod cuz I want to kind of do it all together they claimed that they had a
0:21
new case for me something that would win me over from the Evolve TG the Corsair
0:26
570x that was a big statement I love the evolve but they seemed genuinely
0:31
confident so I decided to give them a chance and spoiler alert it is a
0:35
wonderful case but I'm not going to actually spoil the big ending just yet
0:39
for that reason I will give it the same treatment that I gave the evolved TG I'm
0:43
going to be rather hard on it but out of love instead of hate let's
0:57
begin the Phoenix otor is a full siiz minimalist designed keyboard complete
1:02
with goldplated Cherry MX Brown switches click the link in the video description
1:06
to learn more immediately upon setting your eyes on the 570x you'll likely be
1:10
momentarily stunned while the reason for your state slowly Dawns on you that
1:16
glass she's got all that glass both
1:20
sides the top the front they feature all-encompassing glass panels held on by
1:25
delicately padded bolts that are inserted into rubber wrapped female
1:29
thread points damn the top of the case features your
1:33
IO with two black usb3 ports a headphone and microphone Jack and a solid power
1:38
button with white back lighting along with color speed and mode buttons to
1:43
control the three included RGB fans that
1:46
are in the front of the case this is pretty awesome and I like the idea here
1:52
but the follow through not quite so much
1:57
remember I'm being hard on the case Odo of love the power button led doesn't syn
2:03
with what the fans are doing it's just a static white LED and the same more
2:08
importantly goes with the Corsair logo LED on the side of the power supply
2:14
basement it's not a huge deal but still
2:18
if they had all sink together through Corsair's RGB controller it would have
2:22
added an extra layer of polished which would have been very nice moving to the
2:27
inside of the case I understand that they may have left the right hand side
2:30
open to facilitate the installation of thick radiators in the front or other
2:35
water cooling components like Pomer reservoirs I'm not a huge fan of the
2:41
move I'm trying to hide the cable mess man not show it off again this is out of
2:47
love but where's the optional cover piece that I could screw in from the
2:51
kind of top here most people probably won't have anything to the right of the
2:56
motherboard there are no Drive mounts or or anything like that and if you're not
3:01
doing custom water cooling then it's probably an empty space cuz you'll put
3:05
your AI in the top one that I don't mind
3:09
completely but one that certainly would look dumb with cables poking out of it
3:14
moving to the top of the case for a moment we have the expected mounting
3:17
points for the easy installation of an all-in-one water cooling radiator remove
3:22
these two thumb screws below it and just you know slide it out nice this is a
3:28
huge thing for me enabling the use to fuss with the insulation of their
3:31
radiator away from the cumbersome case
3:34
is great but what isn't great here is the implementation of the filter you
3:40
unfortunately have to remove the glass on the top of a case in order to access
3:44
it I think this could have been made easier by allowing it to slide out of
3:47
the back or even maybe from the side although that might have required a
3:52
change in how the glass works so probably not that brings us to the right
3:56
side of the case which is a big challenge for any glass or open style PC
4:00
en closure so how are they hiding the messy stuff first up here we have two
4:05
easy to ous squeeze Mount 2.5 in trays that will put your ssds on display which
4:10
is pretty awesome the cables need only short runs down to the power supply area
4:14
which is not bad either the plug-in location for the Corsair RGB fan power
4:19
hub is just to the left and feels like a solid compromise between cable
4:22
management and positioning as it is centrally located meaning that you can
4:26
reach it at all which is good it managed is up to six fans the three included
4:31
sp120 RGB fans in the front and up to three more sp120 RGB fans that's right
4:38
only those this Hub is not compatible with hd120 RGB
4:44
fans The Hub runs up to a control box that for most people will do nothing
4:48
since pressing buttons on the top is a lot easier than taking off a glass panel
4:53
just to adjust the mode or color or speed of your fans but it can function
4:58
Standalone if you take the top panel off for some reason then we have the hard
5:04
drive Trace Corsair opted to have them sort of upside down that is showing the
5:09
bottom of the drive this will make them easier to install and make it so that
5:13
your SATA cables don't have to squish against the wall but it will also leave
5:17
you probably showing off a green PCB
5:20
that now I'm guessing here probably doesn't go along with the aesthetic of
5:25
your build especially if you're getting a glass case not ideal but I probably be
5:30
standing here complaining about the difficulty of mounting a drive that is
5:34
flat mounted against the wall if they did it the other way so I guess that
5:39
sucks to be Corsair there was no completely right answer here bringing us
5:43
finally to the cable management bar when I first laid My Eyes Upon This
5:47
Magnificent piece of metal I was filled with excitement so this is how they
5:52
decided to solve the cable management issue of a see-through case brilliant in
5:57
theory in practice not not entirely the
6:01
sheer girth of the cables that need to RAM up into its passage in order to
6:06
plunge through the rubber grommets into the motherboard
6:09
compartment I think it's just more than she can handle even with our relatively
6:14
standard setup of Hardware John had to screw it from one side while I held it
6:19
down and offered some encouragement from the other I mean high- five for
6:22
collaboration but not everyone will have such a good and trusted friend around
6:27
when they need to put the finishing touches on their build leaving with
6:31
nothing left but to dive tired yet satisfied into the conclusion the
6:35
Corsair 570x is priced at $170 right in
6:39
range with the enthu Evolve TG whose price varies a bit based on what color
6:44
you choose and whatnot the fight is close and honestly just comes down to
6:48
some preference differences personally I'm going to stick with my evolve TG but
6:53
only because I already planned my mod for it and I don't want to make any more
6:57
decisions on this rig I don't want to decide between the two of them I just
7:00
want to get my personal rig done the mod parts are being shipped right now
7:05
anyways what do you guys think about the 57x let me know down below if you aren't
7:10
familiar with massop already they're a community where users discuss products
7:14
that they're interested in buying and then mastop follows that up talks to the
7:18
manufacturer and negotiates a bulk order at a discounted price today mastop is
7:24
featuring the westone 30 inear monitors
7:27
the features of these monitors include three B balanced armature drivers
7:31
three-way crossover replaceable braided cable and it comes with five pairs of
7:35
silicone ear tips you also get an orange waterproof carrying case and all of that
7:40
together is $249 on mass drop check them out thanks
