0:00 so today on my video blog we're going to be having a look at a system that I put
0:03 together for our friends at Corsair they are actually doing a lot of messaging
0:08 around the Corsair dream PC these days and what that means is that you can buy
0:13 brand name components and build your own brand name PC so to speak so what
0:18 they're saying sometimes to do it right you have to do it yourself basically
0:22 they're encouraging users to load up on all the Corsair parts that they can
0:26 because what that means is that you're going to have good warranty support good
0:29 quality parts and generally a good
0:32 functioning system so let's have a look at what we use for our Corsair dream PC
0:36 first of all I've got the Intel Core i7 975 as well as the Intel extreme series
0:42 Smackover motherboard so that is an excellent base for any dream PC next we
0:48 have Windows 7 Home Premium which comes with direct X11 it's got Aros snap which
0:53 I was actually confused on my uh my Windows 7 preview Aros snap means that
0:58 you or Arrow Shake sorry means that you shake it and then all the other Windows
1:02 go away or come back um sometimes there we go and then Arrow snap is where you
1:06 drag it to the side or to the other side
1:10 or to the top there so now I'm no longer confused about what all the different
1:14 Arrow things are with Windows 7 anyway we got dx11 trim support and Windows 7
1:19 that's good stuff then cooling we have the Corsair H50 so this is their uh
1:23 fully integrated liquid cooling system and I'm going to show you the real Parts
1:26 in just a second so not going to focus too much on the boxes we have a of
1:29 course our solid state drive also included with the system the the memory
1:34 box was kind of ugly but there's some memory so we're not going to really show
1:37 too much of that and then we have the Corsair power supply now something I
1:41 want you to notice about this box is it says it's got a 5year warranty that's
1:44 one of the reasons that Corsair is encouraging users to stick with Corsair
1:48 and to go with good brand name components for their own dream PC
1:52 because even though you're not buying this dream PC from a builder you are
1:56 buying all components that have good aftermarket support so you pick up some
2:00 radon cards from XFX you got lifetime warranty on those you pick up memory
2:04 from Corsair you got lifetime warranty on that 5year warranty on a Corsair
2:08 power supply you've got a three-year warranty on an Intel motherboard so I
2:11 mean basically you're getting an extended warranty package three to
2:15 Lifetime years and you don't actually have to buy a pre-integrated PC now
2:20 let's get this thing open here first of all and there we go so I'm just going to
2:26 show off what we've got in the dream PC here so here's our Corsair triple
2:30 Channel 6 gig memory kit with the Dominator airflow fan here's the Corsair
2:34 H50 CPU Cooler and it's actually running quite cool I really like this thing
2:39 actually and then up here I've got it kind of creatively mounted here is a
2:43 Corsair p128 SSD it's actually uh
2:46 velcroed in there just cuz I want people to be able to check that out and this
2:49 machine is going to be at trade shows so I don't want people ripping them out of
2:53 the hot swap drives that are in this case so that would be a really bad thing
2:57 then we've got our 975 processor Smackover motherboard board and then
3:00 down in the bottom I've got some lighting on it here I bet the camera's
3:03 going to go crazy trying to focus on that but there's our hx1000 modular
3:07 power supply and I want you to check out a couple of cool features about this
3:11 case as I mentioned you've got your hot swap Drive Bay so I'm going to get the
3:14 cameraman to come around and have a look at the front those are actually empty on
3:18 mine and he just tripped over all the boxes I put on the ground that's awesome
3:22 so there's your hot Swap and then in terms of other really unique features
3:26 about this case I guess the biggest one has got to be how water cooling friendly
3:30 it is first of all you can put a triple rad on the top and a single in the back
3:34 and see we've got three 120 mm blue LED fans up there looking pretty sweet and
3:39 then the other big one is the cable management I put like no effort into the
3:43 cable management of this PC however it ends up looking really slick because you
3:47 got all these little rubber grommeted back pieces where you can route any
3:52 feasible cable I mean I managed to mount a hard drive there and it looks like it
3:55 belongs there it's awesome anyway thank you for checking out my blog video on
3:59 the dream PC
