0:00 okay so I already did a video on the worst case scenario Acoustics of the GTX
0:05 480 so I've got this uh PNY card here
0:09 and I thought I'd do sort of a more more like a realistic video so first of all
0:13 um you should check out the other video it's on my channel lus Tech tips and uh
0:17 so here I'll put the camera close and I'll let you
0:21 listen so that's what the fmy sounds like when I'm running ATI tool which I
0:25 realize is a very very old synthetic Benchmark okay it's running at 2,000
0:31 frames per second and here are my EVGA Precision settings so you can see that
0:36 at stock speeds underload the GPU runs at about 72° and fan speeds about
0:42 68% now something you should note is that I'm in quite a chilly room and that
0:47 this is an open test bench so you put the firmy in a case add 5° at least and
0:53 um you know you warm up your room to the point where you can actually sit in it
0:57 without three sweaters and you're probably looking at another 2 to 3° so
1:01 I'd expect this to be running more like 80° or the fan speed to actually be
1:06 running a little bit higher so you can see I'm actually going to go ahead and
1:10 cover up the F the intake fan of the fery here all right so I'm going to put
1:16 this on there and I want you to listen to what happens as soon as the
1:19 temperature goes up to what what I expect would be about
1:23 80° and I want you to listen to what happens to the fan speed as soon as we
1:28 get to that kind of a temperature also please note the GPU usage is around 75
1:32 to 80% for this particular Benchmark I'm going to run a game in a little bit but
1:37 I just wanted to show you this for the
1:40 sake of seeing it okay so here have a listen now that it's reached
1:47 80° so it's easily the loudest thing in the system but not unbearably horrible
1:53 personally I'm a uh I'm a water cooler so I'm not into a whole lot of fan noise
1:58 so I'd be putting a full cover block on this thing I'd recommend you do the same
2:01 but there you have it that's what the firy sounds like at about 80° just
2:05 running ATI tool with about 80% GPU
2:08 usage
