0:04 and steel series hey guys we're here at the Indie Mega Booth checking out load
0:08 out and as far as I can tell this game is about insane amounts of customization
0:12 and just mad amounts of insanity is there anything else you can add about
0:15 this game well I mean that's that's the basic thing yeah it's completely mad so
0:19 uh the big thing about it other than that is that um a lot of player
0:23 empowerment in terms of like being able to invent your own weapons so we've got
0:26 a modular weapon crafting system there's billions of combinations you put pieces
0:31 together and you invent whatever weapon you can invent with the pieces you got and there's some crazy combinations out
0:35 there really up to the player play Style and what you want to do with your weapon
0:40 and when he says billions of combinations he isn't exaggerating there
0:43 are actually billions of combinations so if you're the type of person that wants
0:47 to Tinker with things and make your own thing that's unique to you you can
0:51 actually do that with this game exactly you were describing something to me yesterday which was a sniper rifle that
0:55 shot rockets that blew up and healed people that's right yeah that's exct
0:59 when when they keep thing there is you also put the proximity Detonator on it
1:02 so that you can fire sniper grenades across the level they stick and then
1:07 when people need healing they can run by them and the proximity timer goes off
1:10 and it heals them in a in like a cluster of flak now all of those pieces there
1:14 that's a like I just described like eight different modules that make one gun you could change any of those like
1:19 you could change it to Fire and now instead of being healing it's an unfriendly surprise to the enemy uh yeah
1:24 it's that sort of thing there's no classes in load out so you really Define
1:27 your class by the weapons and your play style which is very cool because a lot
1:31 of people like I just said earlier a lot of people that like the customization part being able to make something that's
1:35 unique to them you can that that can be brought to the most ridiculous degree in
1:39 this game everything about this game like I said earlier Insanity the amount of everything in this game is insanity
1:44 um what's your favorite part about this game is it the customization okay so the
1:48 favorite my favorite part of the game is the fact that because of the customization you can play any role you
1:52 want so I am not good at the enclos fighting like I die a lot of the time so
1:56 I play more of a support role and I do two things with that one is I got a
2:00 healing gun that lets me stay at medium range and heal people so I can stay out
2:03 of the battle but still heal and the second thing I do is I like being a
2:06 sneaky jerk and so I've got a remote control rocket that I can fire all the
2:10 way across the level and blow people up so between those two I'm like this
2:13 interesting long range medium- range support guy and I don't ever have to get
2:17 into Close Quarters battles where I know I'm going to lose that's interesting
2:21 because a lot of people will complain in games and like similar to this style
2:26 that say someone will go sniper and they find they're not very helpful to the team even though they might be whatever
2:30 it goes back and forth but that sniper could shoot healing
2:34 bullets at that point in time he's Now helpful to the team exactly yeah you in
2:37 fact you could even have two weapons one's your sniper headshot killing and
2:40 the other is your sniper healing and now you're this weird sort of like combo
2:44 sniper if that's the role you want to play that's your class that you've made
2:48 do it you know that could be very effective something that you described
2:51 to me yesterday again was the guy that made the he he would shoot out grenade
2:55 mines things that would follow him around and then automatically go on a
2:58 laser target yeah and that's and that's part of the of balancing this game we've
3:01 had a great Community we can gather a lot of data on what they're doing what's effective so we can balance basically
3:06 with their help one guy made um he made a a laser guided missile bouncing
3:10 missiles he put bouncy on the missiles and then he would shoot out a whole
3:13 bunch of them all at once and then he had like all these bouncing Minions that
3:17 would follow him around the level and then because it was on laser guided whenever he wanted somebody to die he
3:21 would just point a laser at them and all the missiles would suddenly leave him
3:24 and jump on that guy and blow him up um which is pretty awesome strategy we had
3:28 to Nerf it a little bit but it's still a viable thing to do so that's very cool
3:31 and it's nice to see that you guys are actively responding to different things that people are going to create because
3:36 you think balancing more simple games is hard imagine having billions of
3:39 combinations and trying to balance that so I definitely understand it's still in
3:44 beta correct we are currently in uh Early Access so it's a closed beta early
3:48 access on Steam we're going to be going open Beta pretty soon here and of course
3:51 at Pax we've been signing up a bunch of people bring him right into the closed
3:55 beta so we can grow the community awesome that sounds good so if you guys
3:58 want to pick up load out check it out on Steam try and get your Early Access if
