0:01 okay so today I'm going to be doing a quick unboxing of the ocz agility SSD
0:05 drive so the agility is basically a series of drives that falls in between
0:10 the vertex and the Solid 2 so the
0:13 agility is based on the same indel linkx controller as the vertex and the Solid 2
0:18 as well as the vertex turbo as well as the vertex EX in fact most of ocz's
0:23 current SSD drives are based on the indel link Barefoot controller but there
0:27 is a key difference the agility Drive which are more of a value option
0:32 compared to the premium vertex drives do not have the same speed of flash okay so
0:38 the agility is actually only capable of reads up to 185 megabytes per second
0:42 here you can have a look at this and sustained rights of up to 60 megabytes
0:47 per second so that's quite a bit slower than the vertex is capable of but what
0:51 it actually means in terms of real world performance is very little because most
0:55 of the benefit of an SSD drive actually comes from the random reads and wrs
0:59 which are still very impressive on the agility versus the sustained reads and
1:04 right so Inside the Box we will find the agility in a nice little package here
1:08 and we also have a little installation guide and warranty info booklet which
1:12 includes an installation guide as well as warranty info thank you ocz now the
1:18 agility actually I have the 30 gig here today but it's available in a bunch of
1:21 different capacities 30 601 120 and 250 as of the time of this video the 250 is
1:26 actually brand new and uh was just released we we just got stock of that
1:31 one quite recently so that's uh that's a pretty exciting thing because value 250
1:36 gig drives haven't really been available widely okay so you can see from the top
1:40 of the drive it looks almost identical to a Vertex it's quite similar so it's
1:44 got a black covering on the top it's silver on the bottom but the one big
1:48 difference is that this is a different sticker okay so on the vertex it's black
1:52 and white whereas on the agility is green you'll find your typical SATA
1:56 power as well as SATA 2 Data interface at the back and I yes that pretty much
2:01 covers it thank you for checking out my unboxing of the ocz agility SSD
