0:00 first you used our guide to buy the best cheapo keyboard out there then you
0:05 complimented it with the best sub 15 mouse
0:08 then you actually ended up replacing the original cheapo keyboard with a slightly
0:13 less cheap but still an expensive mechanical one and now
0:17 it's time to complete your i spent all
0:21 of my money on dlc equipment set with
0:24 one final piece a gaming headset for
0:27 less than dollars because you guys love a deal
0:41 this cyber monday mass drop will be launching 40 of their best deals along
0:45 with flash sales which will be live on their site for just 12 hours or until
0:50 the item sells out so check it out at the link below
0:55 first up well i'm not gonna mince words this is our
0:59 cheapest pair the ip ap appy
1:03 whatever the vibration gaming headphone
1:07 and it costs just 10 now
1:10 i actually don't mind this personally but we're getting off to a bad start
1:14 here vibration is just part of the product name not a feature which
1:18 apparently disappointed at least one unlucky buyer
1:22 with that said ap must have put the money that they saved on packaging to
1:26 good use because their headset actually sounds okay if a touch basey and while
1:32 exquisite is definitely a stretch for
1:35 ten dollars the build quality on these things is surprisingly okay
1:40 their lightweight deep and cushy ear pads and
1:44 self-adjusting suspension style headband make for a comfy listening experience
1:48 though they do get pretty warm while the
1:51 long and it's weird it's kind of greasy feeling cable and included splitter make
1:57 them convenient to use with your desktop phone or console there's an integrated
2:02 volume wheel and mic which despite not having a boom
2:06 or a mute button for that matter sounds on par with most of the others in our
2:10 roundup test test test this is the appy vibration gaming headphones microphone
2:15 sound at just 10 bucks and if you plug in the extra usb you get multi-colored
2:21 breathing leds you can't control them but hey
2:25 it's a bonus at this point i like this one now let's meet our next
2:29 contestant just because your headset is cheap
2:32 doesn't mean it has to look cheap but the gd40s from headphone ninja
2:37 definitely do both of those things they're made of ugly cheap plastic and
2:43 crude pleather and they don't fit well
2:46 even on their smallest setting they don't seal on my ears properly though if
2:50 you've got a real melon head then sure plop them on at least until the poorly
2:55 padded headband digs into your skull on the plus side they've got a
2:59 semi-bendy-ish what they're calling blade style
3:04 microphone that's a boom microphone if you're not a
3:07 ninja in your spare time and a braided cable with an inline controller that
3:12 just looks almost as stupid as it feels in
3:15 your hands they actually sound okay but with all these other problems who
3:20 honestly cares next up the sadie's sa708
3:24 for 15.99 and wait a second are these
3:27 things actually getting worse as the price goes up these things look more
3:32 like pretend headphones for kids to play
3:35 gaming team house rather than an actual product i mean
3:39 just listen to that build quality
3:43 and fit gets a big fat fail too if you
3:46 have large ears these are on-ear headphones with hard uncomfortable
3:50 padding and if you have small ears then they're
3:54 sort of on-ear headphones with hard uncomfortable padding sound
3:59 quality at least has been pretty consistent across the headsets we've
4:02 looked at so far but with that said the bass on these manages to stand out as
4:07 extra muddy and it's one of the only ones that doesn't come with an adapter
4:11 for console play and and while we're at it wait a minute this thing's got the same crappy inline
4:16 controller as the last headset i guess at least it has
4:20 emi shielding to ensure a good mood
4:24 and to their credit the mic does conceal pretty nicely along with the rest of
4:29 this thing in the garbage if your garbage can has a lid the somic
4:34 g923 comes in white or black and advertises and not one but two places on
4:39 the box a long hard microphone with high
4:43 sensitivity ironically it's actually one of the few mics that stood out as especially quiet
4:48 and distant sounding this is a test of the somic g923 stereo
4:53 gaming headset at 17. 17.99
4:58 to their credit they are not uncomfortable though the cups offer some
5:02 articulation and the in-line controls are small and equipped with an
5:05 appreciated clip but the build quality on this one is really bad like think how
5:10 bad it has to be to stand out in this round up and look how far the mic sits
5:14 from your mouth and listen to the headband adjustment
5:17 mechanism they also included this inexplicable
5:21 plastic bag is this supposed to be a carrying case
5:27 next up then is the beaxlint gm1 at
5:31 19.99 tons of padding actually makes this one
5:35 reasonably comfortable despite the rigid design
5:38 and while it sounds grating in low quality the headband offers a lot of
5:43 steps to help you find the right fit like the 10 headset this one also has
5:48 leds but it's just static blue all day
5:51 and it also has inline controls but it's
5:54 one of those ones that hangs at an awkward length and the sound of it
5:58 dragging across my clothes is definitely not invited to my next birthday party
6:02 i'm afraid not even bill and ted would approve of this one next the twenty
6:06 dollar nubo entw's are kind of like a souped-up version of the ten dollar aps
6:12 at least at first glance i can say positively that they are the first thing
6:17 we've seen that comes close to
6:20 premium feeling today with a soft touch finish braided cable and flexible boom
6:25 mic but that beauty is only skin deep or in
6:29 this case a flimsy piece of pleather deep
6:33 the ribbon of metal in the headband digs into your
6:36 head in a matter of minutes oh this thing
6:40 sucks and the caliper pressure on these is unfortunately so low that small and
6:46 medium noggin folks alike won't ever feel like they're really staying on
6:50 making matters worse for some inexplicable reason they put the mute
6:55 switch right on the mic meaning that you have to make a bunch of scuffling noises
7:00 while you take off the included windsock every time you want to use it
7:06 next we have the version tech g2000s
7:10 which turned out to be the caution each
7:13 whatever that means g2000s when they arrived and on the subject of
7:18 inconsistencies while they do definitely feature analog connectivity as
7:23 advertised on the box they're actually blue not orange
7:27 they've got a super flexible headband though for when your mind gets blown
7:31 watching Techquickie and after a break-in period for that stiff headband
7:35 foam they would be pretty comfortable if the ear cups weren't so shallow that my
7:41 ears were pressed against the for some reason convex covers on the drivers this
7:46 is honestly enough of a deal breaker for me
7:50 that even lighting effects can't make up for it but if you don't care about that
7:54 then sound quality is similar to the rest and the boom mic is in exactly the
7:58 right position to sit at the corner of your mouth if you're a catfish on to the
8:03 uh wait a minute what's this
8:07 a recognizable brand the nsi ds-501 have
8:12 better build quality than their red ranger glossy plastic suggests and are
8:17 actually among the most light and most comfortable headsets in the roundup
8:21 today and they sound alright too with ample bass without being too over the
8:25 top though like the rest they do become pretty distorted and muddy at high
8:30 volumes the mic boom pivots and bends which is
8:35 really nice but with that said even correctly
8:38 positioned the recording quality isn't the greatest
8:42 this is a test of the MSI ds501s for
8:45 24.99 bringing us finally to the stylish
8:49 patriot viper v330s these guys have got a soft touch finish
8:54 breathable fabric ear pads a nice ratcheting headband with a braided cable
8:59 a nearly invisible fold away mic and
9:02 integrated controls on the left ear cup they're one of the only two sets in the
9:06 roundup to come with a travel bag and even though it's pretty drek it's
9:11 significantly better than the other one but with all that positive stuff said
9:15 they're also the only set to stand out as overly tinny sounding they're not
9:19 super comfortable and they are the most expensive one that we looked at today so
9:24 which set do we recommend then as your new daily
9:28 drivers well since they mostly all have
9:32 comparable sound and mic quality it pretty much came down to comfort
9:38 build quality and price which makes it
9:41 really hard to beat the 10 aps whose
9:45 multi-colored leds and construction put them way ahead in
9:50 terms of value especially when you factor in that they cost less than half as much as some of the other ones we
9:54 featured MSI's ds-501 does cost more but was
10:00 significantly more comfortable to my noggin and then if you don't dig the
10:04 suspension style headband i'd say go for the be excellent gm ones
10:10 this episode was brought to you by tunnelbear the easy to use vpn app when
10:15 people are shopping for a vpn one of the features they look for is a kill switch
10:20 now before you actually get properly connected to the internet
10:24 and you can start browsing your device will actually start to send information
10:29 about itself and what it wants to do to
10:32 you know that hot spot in the airport and before you connect to your vpn
10:38 all of this traffic is actually unencrypted so in the few seconds it
10:42 takes to connect you've probably already broadcast your ip maybe a few dns
10:46 requests or a search query vigilantbear from tunnelbear stops this
10:51 by blocking all outbound and inbound traffic so nothing leaks out before you
10:56 connect helping keep you private throughout your entire session and this
11:01 is cool if your connection goes down for some reason vigilant bear will kick back
11:06 in and stop all outbound and inbound traffic until the connection comes back
11:11 so for a free trial of tunnelbear go to tunnelbear.com LTT we've got that linked
11:16 below so thanks for watching guys if this video sucked you know what to do but it
11:21 was awesome get subscribed hit that like button or check out the link to where to
