0:06 with its Factory tuning and data center DNA an Intel 730 series SSD is an
0:11 amazing choice for gamers and performance enthusiasts now Gigabyte
0:15 never really caught my attention with their peripherals in the past and that's
0:19 the reason we haven't covered them much but this one right here is a little bit
0:22 different this is the Avia uranium wireless gaming mouse with ghost macro
0:27 station and there are some things about it that are moderately interesting so
0:31 the mouse itself has a 6,500 DPI twin
0:34 eye gaming laser sensor it can handle a th000 HZ pulling rate the maximum that
0:38 you can do with USB 2 it can handle 50 hours of continuous battery life with
0:42 its two doublea batteries mean you can easily swap them out in an emergency or
0:46 whatever else the case may be but you don't even have to do that in an emergency because it's got a nice
0:50 lightweight cord here that you can go ahead and run to the mouse and you can actually use it as a Wired Mouse while
0:55 it charges none of these things are really groundbreaking but the
0:58 groundbreaking thing is is the ghost macro station right here that actually
1:03 has a full-on OLED display that you can use to navigate the uh onboard menus and
1:09 make a ton of changes to the mouse itself without even firing up the
1:13 software but first let's take a bit of a visual tour of the mouse itself so at
1:18 the front we've got the charging port that plugs into that nice lightweight
1:21 cable I talked about before on the right hand side we find not a whole lot of
1:24 anything other than a slightly textured but still a little bit more slippery
1:28 than I'd like plastic finish at the back we find its butt so to speak okay and
1:33 then on the left hand side we've got four G buttons to which are bound to
1:38 forward and back by default two of which are completely Unbound but any of which
1:42 you can bind to whatever you could possibly want on the bottom we find a
1:46 couple of slippy pads for to be precise there are some extra ones in the Box
1:50 should you so require as well as that 6500 DPI Twi ey laser sensor we've also
1:55 got a connect button which you probably won't even need to use unless something disastrous happens and onoff switch and
2:00 those two nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries that are included
2:04 with the mouse a very nice touch on the top we find a scroll wheel that also
2:07 supports tilt functionality something I'm not a huge fan of because my lazy
2:11 Mouse posture causes me to accidentally hit it all the time but lots of people
2:14 really like it as well as a rocker switch right here that's you can use for
2:18 on the-fly DPI adjustments or whatever you want a wheel controller lock that
2:23 you can use to control the wheel lock
2:26 that changes it from being a mouse wheel to being navig for this right here and
2:31 finally a profile switching button what I have to say about the ergonomics are a
2:35 couple of things on the side and these ones to the left of your index finger
2:40 they're all surprisingly easy to reach I particularly like the layout of G4 it's
2:44 a very large button and you can either press it with the tip of your thumb or
2:48 just roll onto it with the base of your thumb pretty much anyone should be able
2:51 to access it to however the buttons under the Palm do continue to baffle me
2:56 these ones make a little bit more sense cuz it's just a profile switcher and
2:59 then like a navigation lck here so presumably you're not gaming while you're like configuring your mouse or
3:04 whatever else so it's better than usual but I still don't particularly like them
3:08 and then on the right hand side the thing that bothered me here was that the
3:11 mouse is just too heavy to claw grip and
3:16 then unfortunately even with my small hands my pinky hangs off the side of the
3:21 mouse if I try to Palm it so I really just had a hard time gripping the mouse
3:25 in a way that was that comfortable and it's unfortunate that it had has that
3:30 particular drawback because there are some other things about it that are
3:33 really cool many of which pertain to the
3:36 uh ghost macro station itself so moving
3:40 on to that it has an extremely bright easyto read OLED display that can have a
3:45 ghost logo on it or your own creation
3:48 whether it's a bit map or even handrawn on with the mouse itself something that
3:52 I spent more of the time you know while I was working on this review doing than
3:57 I probably should have it's got on board memory for macros and Gigabyte claims
4:02 and it's like a patent pending technology for flawless performance
4:06 speaking of performance I had absolutely no complaints about it I didn't notice
4:09 any lag or any jumping even on a high resolution 2560 X 1440 monitor uh it's
4:14 got a live editing mode this is cool no software required all you have to do is
4:20 press that wheel lock button and then you can use the mouse wheel as a d-pad
4:25 to navigate forward back up and down to
4:28 the menus then you click to confirm your changes and you can change all kinds of
4:31 stuff like DPI values you can edit profiles switch profile well you can do
4:35 that through the mouse but you can could switch profiles if you wanted to you can assign basic remapped functionality
4:40 keymapping functionality so you can bind keyboard functions to your mouse and you
4:45 can even assign macros and all that kind of stuff so software is available and
4:50 includes more functionalities such as more granular DPI control and a pretty
4:55 robust macro editor as well as the aforementioned drawing utility for the
4:59 screen saver uh but if you you don't actually
5:03 need to use the software to have really good control of the mouse all the time
5:07 if you don't want to I did mention before the nice lightweight charging
5:10 cord I can't emphasize this enough that's a really good feature to have for
5:14 a mouse that's supposed to be Wireless most of the time and then finally the
5:18 little Ava logo on the bottom has five different colors which indicate which
5:22 profile you're operating in this is kind of cool as much as I might have
5:26 complained about the ergonomics of the mouse for myself on their website they
5:30 actually have a hand Comfort guide and do recommend a hand size so um I usually
5:36 I'd call Luke down to be like yeah here's what his hand looks like on it here's what my hand looks like on it you
5:40 know what just head over to their website see if it's a if it's a good fit
5:43 for you and on their website also what I noticed is there's a lot of marketing
5:47 around the 4K Readiness of this Mouse um
5:51 something that I thought was a little bit weird but it's actually a very interesting point when I finally
5:56 upgraded from my MX Duo I only did it
5:59 because I went from my CRT monitor which I ran at uh 1280 by 1024 or 960 or
6:05 whatever it was to maintain the proper aspect ratio I went from that to a 1920
6:10 by 1200 Monitor and I was like oh the DPI is not high enough so that is an
6:15 argument for higher DPI mice however this one isn't particularly more 4K
6:18 ready than other high DPI mice and I just want to make sure I clarify that
6:22 also included in the box is a cleaning cloth the extra Mouse feet that I
6:26 mentioned before an Ava you know Club an
6:29 AA club membership card there's Mouse as well as a user's guide and then the
6:34 rechargeable batteries that I have in the mouse already guys thank you for
6:38 watching like this video if you liked it dislike it if you disliked it leave a
6:41 comment it's uh linked below the video in the Forum thread to discuss this
