0:00 Welcome to Season 5 of Scrapyard Wars.
0:03 The competition is going to be hotter than ever
0:06 because Luke and I are traveling to sunny California
0:09 to take on, yes, we're going to be on a team for the first time,
0:13 Paul from Paul's Hardware
0:15 and Kyle from Awesome Sauce News Network Bit Wit.
0:20 It's a team battle.
0:21 Everyone gets 500 American US dollars
0:24 to build the best RGB gaming computer they can.
0:28 Make sure it's all there.
0:30 You know him.
0:30 And go.
0:31 Oh, yeah.
0:32 And it's brought to you by iFixit and FreshBooks.
0:36 Okay.
0:38 Ready, guys?
0:39 Three, two, one.
0:41 Scrapyard Wars!
0:42 Okay, go, go, go.
0:43 What are you doing with the money?
0:44 We've got to get started.
0:45 Two teams try to build the best gaming rig they can for $500.
0:49 The rules are simple.
0:51 You work within the set hours, you buy the parts you use,
0:54 and you can't use your influence as a YouTuber to get deals.
0:57 Oh, and the best RGB computer gets a...
1:00 10% score bonus.
1:02 Welcome to Scrapyard Wars.
1:07 You have the money?
1:08 Okay, so who's...
1:09 Okay, good. Close enough.
1:10 Where does everybody build?
1:12 What?
1:13 You guys can be there. We'll go there.
1:14 We're there? You guys are in the kitchen?
1:15 Sure.
1:16 Okay. All right, we get the...
1:17 That gives them an advantage.
1:18 Wow.
1:19 They apparently have a lot of confidence
1:21 that I think is unjustified.
1:23 Maybe.
1:24 Because these guys are cruising for a bruising here.
1:28 We need laptops, stat,
1:30 because we don't know what the heck is going on.
1:32 We gotta remember that we don't know anything around here.
1:34 Right.
1:35 And also that this isn't the real money.
1:36 This is Paul and Kyle's money that we have to give back to them.
1:39 I'm kind of hungry. We haven't had lunch yet.
1:42 Yeah, I know.
1:43 We should probably eat.
1:44 There's a good place to eat.
1:45 Okay.
1:46 Do we have time for lunch?
1:47 You know what? Why are you guys hoarding all the water?
1:49 Like, it's really hot here,
1:51 and we're gonna need our water.
1:52 Also, this is your money, so we'll need that.
1:55 Okay.
1:56 How are you guys getting money?
1:58 We'll have to go get the real money
2:00 from the hotel room where I left it.
2:02 Okay.
2:03 But it's okay.
2:04 I can just give you some of this money,
2:06 and then you can bring that tomorrow
2:07 if that saves some time.
2:08 Well, we left it on, like, the counter in the bathroom,
2:11 and we didn't put the Do Not Disturb on,
2:13 and it's like $1,000 of actual money.
2:16 So I actually don't know
2:18 if we're gonna go back to the hotel room.
2:20 I think I'm just gonna roll the dice on the money on the counter
2:22 because we've only got two and a half days, effectively.
2:25 We started so late.
2:27 We've never worked together.
2:28 I don't even know what to say to you.
2:30 I know.
2:31 I'm just automatically looking things up.
2:33 I'm looking at Goodwill Electronic Recycling right now.
2:38 Okay.
2:39 Okay, so how about I start tracking down what's on Craigslist.
2:43 Do they have Kijiji here?
2:45 I don't know about Kijiji here.
2:46 I don't really think so.
2:48 Okay.
2:49 Because Kijiji is owned by eBay,
2:51 and eBay is bigger in the States.
2:53 Now, you were saying this earlier,
2:55 like, they might not know that Orange County
2:58 is pretty nearby here.
3:00 So if we're lucky, they might end up hitting up LA Craigslist.
3:04 Which is gonna be, like, hella traffic.
3:06 Is this Ontario, Canada?
3:09 Three gig Toronto, yeah.
3:10 No dice.
3:11 Yeah.
3:12 If they're looking at LA, this is our home field advantage.
3:14 If they're looking at LA traffic,
3:16 or if they're looking at LA locations,
3:18 they might get all the way into LA, which is to the north.
3:20 Right.
3:21 But we're, like, right on the border to go south, Orange County.
3:24 I think our initial goal should be to try to find a really cheap,
3:28 complete system that somebody's selling
3:30 that we can get base components, like a case and a power supply,
3:34 that we can get, like, dirt cheap.
3:36 And then for art, I think the RGB integration
3:38 is gonna be a challenge, but I feel like we might consider...
3:40 All right, we do have an ace in the hole,
3:42 an option, which is Micro Center.
3:44 Should we head out, or...?
3:46 I just realized that we can't leave them here, though,
3:48 because I have to lock the door.
3:50 I love how we get the workshop. This is awesome.
3:56 Except they said it's gonna get really hot,
3:58 and that has central air, and this doesn't.
4:02 Oh. So we thought that they were...
4:06 No, I didn't.
4:07 Oh.
4:08 You claimed the workshop.
4:09 So you knew that we were getting s*** on...
4:11 Yes.
4:12 ...immediately.
4:13 Yep.
4:14 Great.
4:15 You were like, let's...
4:16 We take the workshop, and I was like, oh, crap.
4:18 Okay.
4:19 Well, I'm sorry.
4:20 Sorry to interrupt.
4:21 We just realized we all need to leave together,
4:24 because I need to lock the door.
4:28 Otherwise, it will be unlocked.
4:29 And just whenever we go.
4:30 This isn't Canada, guys.
4:31 I know.
4:32 We lock our doors.
4:33 We lock our doors.
4:34 People will kill us.
4:35 Do you have a second key?
4:36 Yeah, do you have a key?
4:37 Like, I'm...
4:38 I realize I'm asking for a lot.
4:40 Would the garage door work?
4:41 Garage door is not really an option, unfortunately.
4:43 All right.
4:44 I have an idea, but we'll discuss when the cameras are off.
4:46 Okay.
4:47 So here it is.
4:48 Strictly platonic.
4:49 Here we go.
4:50 Wait.
4:51 What am I doing?
4:55 So L.A. sucks.
4:56 What I mean by this is there's, like, nothing there
4:59 in terms of used PC parts.
5:02 Everything's MacBooks.
5:03 You know what I think the first thing we have to do is?
5:06 Is get our bearings.
5:07 Like, maybe the reason you can't find anything for Ontario
5:11 is that that's not, like, a relevant thing.
5:14 Where we should be going?
5:15 Yeah, like, where's, like, Orange County?
5:17 And where's, like...
5:18 I don't think that's...
5:19 Hollywood and...
5:20 Hollywood's, like, an hour away, I think.
5:22 I just mean, like...
5:23 No, I hear you.
5:24 I hear you.
5:25 So these are, like...
5:26 Are these counties?
5:28 Is El Monte...
5:29 These are all really small.
5:31 Okay, so Los Angeles is, like, a fair ways that way.
5:36 I don't even know where Hollywood is.
5:38 All I know is there's a big sign that I've never seen,
5:40 even though I've been to L.A.
5:42 quite a few times.
5:44 These guys are leaving already?
5:46 What?
5:47 You guys are leaving already?
5:48 You guys are still here.
5:50 I mean, you understand what happens in this area
5:52 with traffic after it gets past, like, 2 p.m., right?
5:54 Don't tell him.
5:55 Don't tell him.
5:56 It's past 2 p.m.
5:57 It's not like it's gonna matter.
5:58 There will be traffic.
5:59 Wherever, everywhere.
6:00 That's all that matters.
6:01 Don't give him any...
6:02 Yeah, it's after 2 p.m.
6:03 Yeah, you guys are screwed.
6:05 Okay, bye.
6:06 Bye.
6:07 Well, what are we gonna do?
6:10 I hate you.
6:11 I hate you.
6:12 I hate you.
6:13 I hate you.
6:14 I have a feeling they're just going to Kyle's house.
6:16 Oh, that makes sense.
6:20 Those guys are so full of .
6:22 You know what?
6:23 I think that these guys actually,
6:25 if they actually intend to get out there today,
6:28 are gonna be in for a rude surprise in terms of, like...
6:31 Research matters, man.
6:32 Yeah, how not efficient that is.
6:34 Yeah.
6:35 Maybe it was kind of unfair and, like,
6:37 of us to stack the teams like this.
6:41 I don't know, man.
6:42 Then again, like, I'm gonna be killing my...
6:44 Not killing myself.
6:46 But kicking myself at the very least
6:48 for saying something like that.
6:49 And then potentially losing?
6:50 And then potentially losing.
6:55 To figure out somebody bribed the judges,
6:57 what if we had food that was somehow associated with the system
7:00 that they could eat,
7:02 and the food was colored red, green, and blue?
7:04 Like, uh, green eggs and ham type of thing,
7:06 like, on the power supply.
7:07 Yeah, I don't know.
7:08 Maybe that's...
7:09 Like I said, call me crazy.
7:10 I'm just, I'm spitballing here.
7:11 Potentially.
7:12 Just throwing out ideas.
7:13 We're gonna have to make, like, a, you know,
7:14 like, a fast food run right before we get to the judges then,
7:16 and, like, maybe, like, put all the food inside the case,
7:18 and when they open it up, you know, it's like,
7:20 dinner served.
7:21 Exactly.
7:22 Make us win.
7:23 Um, that should work out perfectly.
7:25 That or paint.
7:26 I mean, I mean, if we can't,
7:27 if we can't find anything that lights up RGB...
7:30 Yeah.
7:31 Maybe there's some things at your house,
7:32 maybe there's some things that light up at your house
7:33 that aren't necessarily,
7:34 oh, I guess we couldn't use anything.
7:35 Yeah, I think we have to buy everything.
7:36 We have to buy everything.
7:37 I'm gonna call this place right now.
7:38 Okay.
7:39 Hey, Jared.
7:41 Um, I was wondering if you guys sell any, uh,
7:43 like, sort of pre-built systems that, uh,
7:45 are somewhat or fully functional?
7:48 Sorry about that.
7:51 I'm Kyle from Bitwit.
7:52 I'm Kyle from Bitwit, you idiot!
7:53 You've missed your chance to meet me!
7:55 God!
7:56 All right, um...
7:58 909?
7:59 I thought, I thought we weren't allowed to go into the 909.
8:03 That's, that's a dangerous area.
8:04 What? No, it's not.
8:05 Is it?
8:06 The 909, that's, that's nothing crackheads and...
8:08 That means, that means they'll be willing to sell computer parts
8:10 for really cheap.
8:11 That's true.
8:12 Kyle and I obviously, uh, go back for quite a while.
8:14 We work together at Newegg.
8:15 We do a regular, regular weekly live show
8:18 on Tuesday evenings at 5.30 p.m. Pacific time.
8:20 And, uh, it's, it's, uh,
8:21 it's, it's been good so far.
8:23 I think we have a, a good basic understanding of, like,
8:26 you know, working together and everything, so that's good.
8:29 We're pretty used to each other's vibe
8:31 and, uh, can really feed on each other's ideas
8:33 and things like that.
8:34 We're, we're really good at bouncing back,
8:35 back and forth ideas, so, um,
8:37 so far it's been a pretty positive experience.
8:39 What's the rule, what's the rule if,
8:41 like, if we...
8:42 With crackheads?
8:43 If we bought some crack or something
8:44 at, like, a really good rate...
8:45 Ooh, crack, I didn't think about that.
8:46 ...let's say, let's say we knew a guy...
8:47 Right.
8:48 ...and then we could bring it out to that area
8:49 and perhaps we could trade up, you know?
8:50 Okay.
8:51 We could get more for our, for...
8:52 They would all just kind of come screwing up.
8:54 I don't know what the rules are
8:55 with scrapyard wars for, like,
8:56 an intermediary form of currency or...
8:58 Crackyard wars.
8:59 ...other exchanges.
9:00 Crackyard wars.
9:01 Sometimes I can be a little sporadic
9:04 and, and scatterbrained and he brings back the focus,
9:06 but then I can sort of drive the urgency,
9:08 so I think it's a nice balancing act.
9:10 13.
9:11 Hi, uh, I was wondering if you guys sell
9:12 any pre-built computer systems?
9:14 No, we don't.
9:16 So I'm thinking, I'm thinking this might be a good area
9:21 to kind of have as a base of operations.
9:22 We're in, uh, Roland Heights right now.
9:25 Newegg is located just a few blocks that way
9:27 as well as quite a few of the larger manufacturers,
9:30 uh, parts like MSIs over there,
9:32 Gigabytes over there, Zotac's over there.
9:34 So there's a lot of kind of techy people in that,
9:36 you know, who might work with,
9:38 actually work with them directly.
9:40 Not that we're, like, trying to find anyone we know,
9:42 but I feel like, I feel like in this area we could find some.
9:45 Well, that's a good idea.
9:46 Um, so I think maybe get some food
9:48 and while we're sitting down we can make some calls,
9:50 uh, via Craigslist or something like that.
9:51 I think if we get, I think if we get food
9:54 then we've already won, really.
9:56 That's probably true.
9:57 Basically.
9:58 You can't, you can't hunt for computer parts
9:59 on an empty stomach.
10:00 From minute zero, you have to bust
10:04 or else you are just gonna fail.
10:07 I'm so glad that we stopped here at Lee's Sandwiches,
10:09 purveyors of fine Vietnamese baguette-based sandwiches
10:13 and stuff to eat and recoup and gather our thoughts.
10:18 I agree.
10:19 Also, we're so overconfident, I think.
10:20 So FreshBooks' sponsorship is that
10:22 we use the FreshBooks app to track all of our, um, our expenses.
10:26 So we could do time tracking, but, like,
10:28 we're not billing for anything we're doing.
10:30 But you basically just go like this,
10:32 and then you just, like, put what it is
10:34 Oh, that's pretty easy.
10:35 and how much it was and the currency.
10:37 That's probably gonna be easier to track than, like...
10:39 And then you attach receipts, so you just take a picture.
10:41 Perfect.
10:42 Yeah, cool.
10:43 I don't know why we were ever using a spreadsheet for this before.
10:47 I'm sorry, I will get Excel open at some point here
10:52 and everything will be fine.
10:54 Hi, I was just wondering if you guys sell used computer parts?
10:59 Yeah.
11:07 Um, basically, we're, like, we're trying to build, uh,
11:10 a pretty good gaming system for a friend,
11:12 but we've only got, like, a few hundred bucks,
11:14 so we don't have a huge budget,
11:16 and we were thinking maybe buying used would be a good idea, so...
11:19 Oh.
11:30 Oh, okay.
11:34 Yeah, I think, um, I think we were looking for Windows,
11:37 so, um, thank you very much, then.
11:40 If you look at PC parts on Craigslist,
11:43 it comes up with Mac Maglock power adapters.
11:46 It's all Macs.
11:48 Macs to the max.
11:49 MacBook Air.
11:51 iMac.
11:53 MacBook Pro.
11:55 Apple Mac Remote.
11:57 This is what I'm dealing with here!
12:00 We should just build a Mac.
12:02 Like, what are we expecting for 500 US dollars?
12:05 So someone wants 400 bucks for an R7 370,
12:09 FX83 28 gigs RAM, 1 terabyte hard drive.
12:12 Holy .
12:14 This is not, like, as cheap.
12:16 as I was sort of hoping it would be.
12:18 There's a 970 for 190 bucks.
12:23 Should we decide now?
12:25 Like, do we go for the RGB modifier,
12:31 or do we forget about it?
12:33 I think we don't focus on it, at least at the start.
12:36 Do you think they're gonna go for it?
12:38 We could try and do it creatively.
12:40 Like, we could buy, like, red, green, and blue paint.
12:42 Yeah, I thought about that,
12:43 but making that look genuinely cool might be difficult.
12:46 Maybe not.
12:47 If we had enough time, like, it's hot here,
12:49 so paint would dry really fast.
12:51 Have you ever done, like, cornering?
12:54 Cornering.
12:55 Like, use a few different emails and phone numbers
12:58 to lowball super hard,
13:01 and then, like, do a more reasonable one?
13:03 You're such an .
13:06 I've never done that on Scrapyard Wars, I don't think.
13:08 Okay, should I get on creating a few gmails?
13:11 I have a few.
13:12 Of course you do.
13:14 Okay, so we're half an hour in,
13:18 and...
13:19 I have got the Scrapyard Wars 5 doc open
13:25 in my activated copy of Word.
13:28 That's where I'm at.
13:29 I got, honestly, almost nothing done for the first hour.
13:35 Hi, I was just wondering
13:36 if you guys sell used computer parts?
13:38 No, no parts.
13:40 Hi, I was wondering
13:41 if you guys have used computer components for sale?
13:44 Um, with the garage.
13:49 I really hope those guys are, like,
13:53 not finding anything right now,
13:55 because there is not a lot of time.
13:58 I just found a really good deal on Craigslist.
14:00 It was a 2500k overclockable
14:02 for 90 bucks in Garden Grove,
14:04 but I kind of screwed up.
14:06 What?
14:07 I emailed him from my business email.
14:09 Ooh.
14:10 Like, so he knows...
14:11 If he knows, if he recognizes me,
14:13 but in any way, shape, or form,
14:14 that means we can't do the deal.
14:15 Technically, rules of Scrapyard Wars,
14:17 so I'm really hoping that I'm not as popular.
14:20 If he doesn't recognize you,
14:21 then we would just want to confirm,
14:23 yes, we will pay this much,
14:24 and we will come and get it.
14:25 Yeah.
14:26 And then it wouldn't matter,
14:27 because we would have confirmed
14:28 the price beforehand.
14:29 Right.
14:30 Okay, so Inland Empire,
14:32 Norco, actually,
14:33 we have a i5 2500k-based system.
14:37 This is a complete system for $450.
14:40 Corsair memory looks like an 8-gig...
14:43 It seems like two 4-gig sticks.
14:46 P67 motherboard,
14:47 a GTX 950 graphics card,
14:49 so that's not that great,
14:50 but a Seasonic 600-watt power supply,
14:53 OCZ 240-gig SSD,
14:56 and even some, like, LED,
14:57 red LED fans in there.
14:58 So, it's a lot of stuff.
14:59 So, it's a lot of stuff.
15:00 So, it's a lot of stuff.
15:01 Maybe we could reply and ask him
15:02 if we could just omit the GTX 950,
15:03 since we don't need it,
15:04 as well as, like, there was, like,
15:05 bundling some other crappy gaming peripherals.
15:07 Motherboard, or keyboard, and a mouse.
15:09 Maybe if we could just eliminate those
15:10 and try to talk him down on price,
15:12 because right now it's $450,
15:13 which is most of our budget,
15:15 but if we can cut that down to, like, $350 or something...
15:19 Do you think ketchup and mustard cables count as RGB?
15:22 Oh, oh, oh, Kyle, Kyle, did you...
15:24 You didn't leave your backpack, did you?
15:25 Laptop?
15:26 No.
15:27 Damn.
15:31 We need to do something today, though.
15:32 We need to...
15:33 We gotta stop somewhere.
15:34 We need to interact with other humans.
15:35 It feels like we haven't done anything.
15:37 It's like we went to Lee's and ate sandwiches,
15:39 which was delicious.
15:40 I don't regret that.
15:42 In fact, we could just go back there again tomorrow, I think.
15:45 Oh, my God.
15:48 What if we just, like, went to a scrapyard
15:50 and, like, found some metal and, like, bent it?
15:53 I mean, we've got iFixit kits.
15:55 Yeah.
15:56 We'll make it work.
15:57 So, what does the iFixit ProTech Toolkit have in it?
16:00 Um...
16:01 Okay, we've got...
16:02 We've got a 64-bit screwdriver kit.
16:05 Is that good for bending metal?
16:07 I mean, it'll help us, like, fix it together.
16:10 No, okay.
16:11 It's got their prying tools.
16:15 I'm thinking steel, sheet steel.
16:18 No, not what that's for.
16:20 Suction cups for removing screens.
16:24 Um, we've got, uh...
16:27 We've got ESD-safe tweezers and ESD wrist strap.
16:32 So, this looks great for stabbing you for terrible ideas.
16:37 That was your idea.
16:38 Stab yourself.
16:39 That was not my idea.
16:41 To bend the metal?
16:43 Oh, that was my idea.
16:44 I said I was gonna make it out of wood.
16:45 Okay.
16:46 Well, okay.
16:47 So, the iFixit kit is good for lots of things.
16:49 Like making a case out of wood?
16:51 Like making...
16:52 No, it's not good for making a case out of wood.
16:53 You can screw it together.
16:54 It's good for reasonable things.
16:56 Hi, I called up, um, computer recycling team
17:03 and was recommended to you.
17:04 I'm looking to buy some used computer components.
17:06 I have a, like, 800-watt...
17:27 We're pretty comfortable with DIY and used stuff.
17:30 Like, we would, uh, we don't have that kind of a budget.
17:34 Like, I can already tell that power supply is gonna be, like,
17:36 half of what we would have to spend.
17:38 Okay.
17:44 Um, so you said you're gonna have some more used...
17:46 Do those motherboards that you had to go through tomorrow,
17:48 do those have CPUs and RAM in them as well?
17:50 Like, could we dig through the pile?
17:52 Oh.
17:53 Great, yeah.
18:22 Thanks.
18:23 All right, cool.
18:26 What?
18:28 50% or more off of ticket.
18:30 For brand...
18:31 For, like, wholesale stuff, I guess it makes sense,
18:35 because this is where all...
18:38 Like, this is where basically all the computer parts
18:40 for North America come in.
18:42 Yeah.
18:44 So I guess it's more likely, like,
18:46 for there to be a pallet of random motherboards
18:48 that, like, didn't sell or whatever.
18:51 I don't know.
18:52 I don't know if we're gonna do very well with that, though,
18:55 to be honest.
18:56 Because, like, if he only has the motherboard...
18:58 Like, bundles.
18:59 That's where you...
19:00 No, I know, I know.
19:01 But I often find, like...
19:03 Like, how many scrapyard wars have we had to buy a power supply
19:06 at the very end?
19:07 Yeah.
19:08 Like, almost every time.
19:09 Yeah.
19:10 And he's got a 50% off power supply.
19:11 Yeah, but, like, even a be quiet! 800 watt at 50% off
19:15 is still, like, $100.
19:18 You can spend, like, 40 bucks, 30 bucks on a power supply.
19:20 Yeah.
19:21 This is a 2400, 3.1 gigahertz.
19:24 It has 4 gigs of DDR3, I think 250.
19:30 Oh, okay.
19:31 We've seen significantly better pricing on that kind of era stuff,
19:35 so I might have to pass on that one.
19:37 But I'll call you back if our other leads fall through then.
19:40 Yeah.
19:44 Okay, thanks.
19:46 Did he say asshole?
19:47 Absolutely.
19:48 Ah.
19:49 Well, that's a lot nicer of a thing to say.
19:51 Yeah.
19:52 Okay, so there's a full gaming PC for $450,
19:56 which is right up there with our budget,
19:58 but it's almost $100.
20:00 It's good to go.
20:01 It's got an FX9590, Hyper 212 EVO, an R9 390,
20:05 which is a Sapphire card.
20:06 390 is still pretty solid.
20:08 16 gigs of DDR3, 725-watt power supply.
20:10 This thing is pretty much good to go right out the gate,
20:12 especially because it's got a Phanteks P400,
20:14 which is a fairly new case.
20:16 It's a very recent case that has RGB LEDs in it
20:19 and a 2-terabyte hard drive.
20:21 The only thing that's missing here is an SSD,
20:23 at least from the looks of it.
20:24 So that would give us 50 bucks for an SSD.
20:26 If we're just putting the OS on it,
20:27 we probably don't need more than a 60-gig SSD,
20:29 which is great.
20:30 Which we should be able to find for that price.
20:32 I'm emailing him right now.
20:34 The only issue is that he lives in Calabasas.
20:36 He or she lives in Calabasas,
20:38 which is probably an hour-fifteen drive one way
20:40 without traffic.
20:42 We're not having too much luck with Craigslist so far.
20:44 We've found some listings,
20:45 but we haven't heard back from anyone we've contacted yet.
20:47 So I have installed LetGo,
20:50 which is an app that just allows you to take a picture
20:53 of something and then offer it to people to trade stuff.
20:55 There does seem to be a decent amount of stuff in here.
20:57 I found this listing for three computer towers.
20:59 So just a case, but they're nine bucks each.
21:01 And if we can knock out a decent case
21:04 that'll fit everything and looks okay for nine dollars,
21:07 then I'll feel like we accomplished something today.
21:10 Hi, this message is for Jason.
21:13 I'm calling about...
21:16 Oh, can I start this over?
21:19 Oh, crap.
21:24 980 for 175, mother .
21:27 Yeah, if you come over,
21:28 I don't mind hooking it back up to my rig,
21:29 running it through a benchmark.
21:31 I'm off today, any time.
21:33 Let's go.
21:33 Okay.
21:35 So I realize we don't have an address yet,
21:37 but that's okay.
21:39 I have gummies.
21:40 So we'll go back to the hotel
21:41 while we wait for him to get back to us on the address.
21:44 I finally feel like we have a purpose.
21:46 Let's go.
21:47 Yeah, this is Lilia from JE Components.
21:50 You messaged us on eBay.
21:51 So you guys had some Xeons listed, correct?
21:54 Yes.
21:55 Were they 5670s?
21:56 Sorry, I've messaged quite a few people.
21:58 Yeah, 56, 5670.
22:01 But right now we have them listed for 110.
22:03 110.
22:04 Can you do any better than that?
22:06 Were you looking for the pair or?
22:08 I did want a pair of them
22:10 because the board that we were able to find,
22:12 like we're kind of scraping together bits and pieces here.
22:15 The best we can do right now is 100.
22:18 100 for both.
22:19 Yeah.
22:21 Yeah.
22:22 Like if we can't build a system for 325,
22:24 like then we should probably just stop making Scrapyard Wars
22:29 because we clearly suck.
22:31 Shoot, there's more than one.
22:33 Yeah.
22:34 Of the exact same address.
22:35 Like one of them's in Fullerton.
22:37 One of them's in Whittier.
22:39 I think there's actually more.
22:41 Does it say on his Craigslist ad?
22:44 Oh, I'll check.
22:45 I'll check.
22:46 That's in the dock, right?
22:47 Yep.
22:48 Okay, I'll check.
22:49 Oh, crap.
22:50 I think Bakersfield is a different place altogether.
22:53 Oh, my God.
22:56 This is two hours away.
22:58 Yeah, I'll call Paul.
23:00 We can ask for mercy.
23:02 Yeah.
23:03 If you were them, would you give us mercy?
23:05 I have before.
23:06 Yeah.
23:08 Yeah, but you're soft and weak like that.
23:11 So we wanted to know, you know, given the late start today,
23:15 you know, what would be the odds of doing like a longer pickup tonight, you know?
23:24 Go straight.
23:25 Go straight.
23:26 Go straight.
23:27 Go straight.
23:28 Actually, he's probably going to get picked in about a half an hour.
23:34 Okay.
23:35 Okay.
23:36 Okay.
23:37 I tried to talk him out of it.
23:39 You know, he just said, I don't care.
23:41 Yeah.
23:42 You or Scrapyard Wars or anything.
23:44 Yeah.
23:45 You know, I just, I really thought you guys were cool, which is...
23:48 Well, no, he's not saying no to us.
23:50 He's just saying that Kyle has to go.
23:52 We're just wondering if we can go drive somewhere and drive back.
23:54 So basically what you're saying is that Kyle's being pretty inconsiderate then.
23:59 I'm definitely passing the buck, yeah.
24:01 But, you know, we don't want to stretch the rules or bend them out of shape or go 18 hours over time or anything like that.
24:08 Yeah.
24:10 Okay.
24:11 All right.
24:12 I can respect that.
24:13 I can respect that.
24:14 I'm just going to be thinking about how much I respect that.
24:16 If you call me and you need a tool or whatever, you know.
24:19 Well, you know, we're not vengeful though.
24:21 So, all right.
24:22 All right.
24:23 Thanks, Paul.
24:24 I never know you need to be.
24:25 Okay.
24:26 Thanks, Paul.
24:27 Thanks, Paul.
24:28 Okay.
24:29 Bye.
24:30 Thanks for nothing, Paul.
24:31 You .
24:32 Yeah.
24:33 So Linus was asking if we could extend tonight during a time period when he knows you will not be here.
24:38 That's BS.
24:39 Okay.
24:40 I already told him that I wouldn't be available after 5.30ish or 6.
24:44 Yeah.
24:45 So unless you want to go alone, but I don't know if that's.
24:47 I wouldn't seem appropriate, especially because I might get mugged.
24:51 Oh, yeah.
24:52 And I know that your jiu-jitsu skills are probably.
24:55 That would be horrible.
24:56 If you got mugged, I don't, like, that would traumatize me.
24:58 Yeah.
24:59 You know.
25:00 Like, I don't know if I could handle that, you getting mugged.
25:02 If we have to pay $100 for the CPUs, we get the 24 gigs of RAM.
25:09 The dual socket board, the 175 GTX 980, the $40 case, if we can get the SSD for $35 with no tax, and we can get the hard drive for $10, then we are going to be, we're going to be $25 over.
25:31 Over.
25:32 Over.
25:33 $25 over.
25:34 I was testing them out, and one of them was defective, so I threw it away.
25:39 Okay.
25:40 So it's.
25:41 So it's two drives for $10?
25:43 Yeah.
25:47 You can have them for $10.
25:48 It's fine.
25:49 You can have both for $10.
25:50 I don't care.
25:51 Okay.
25:52 I'm calling up Michael here.
25:54 Let's see if Michael is going to come down from $250 to $175 on that there video card.
26:01 If I could talk to him, maybe I can reason with him.
26:07 I don't blame people for not picking up my calls.
26:09 Must show up on the caller ID, like, terrible person.
26:16 Hello?
26:17 Hi.
26:18 Is this Michael?
26:19 Yeah.
26:20 Hi.
26:21 Um, I saw your Craigslist ad for an MSI GTX 980.
26:25 Yeah.
26:26 Yeah.
26:27 Would you be interested?
26:28 Um, yeah.
26:29 I'm interested, but I, I hate to be, I hate to be one of those people, but I only have
26:35 $175.
26:36 Are you able to do that?
26:38 Um.
26:41 Sorry about work right now.
26:46 I can.
26:47 $125.
26:48 I can come get it, like, tomorrow.
26:50 Like, quick sale at least, if it has that going for it.
26:53 Uh.
26:54 I can't do $175.
26:56 I'm sorry.
26:57 Uh, how many, one, one seven or just one?
27:00 I, I, I only, I mean, I only have $175, so unless you wanted to do both of them for $175,
27:06 it's definitely just one.
27:08 I'm sorry.
27:09 I can't do that.
27:10 What's the best you can do?
27:12 Excuse me?
27:14 For one, uh, the best I can, the best I can do is $220, my man.
27:18 Is what, sorry?
27:20 It's $220.
27:21 $180?
27:22 $220.
27:23 Oh, $220.
27:24 Oh, okay.
27:25 Yeah, I definitely misheard you there.
27:28 Um.
27:29 Yeah.
27:30 Okay.
27:31 Thank you so much.
27:32 I just, I don't think that's in the cards for me right now.
27:34 I really appreciate it, though.
27:35 Um, actually, actually, could you do two?
27:38 What's that?
27:39 Sorry?
27:40 Could you do two?
27:41 $200.
27:42 $200?
27:44 I'm on a, I, you know what, I should probably tell you, like, sort of what, what's going
27:48 on here.
27:49 Um, basically, one of our buddies is moving away, he doesn't have a gaming rig, and everybody
27:54 scraped together $500.
27:56 That's all we've got.
27:57 Um, and so we're trying to get kind of everything for that.
28:02 And basically, we've budgeted it out, and we've got $175 for the video card.
28:07 Like, that's kind of where I'm at, and I can maybe stretch, like, another $10.
28:11 Like, could you do $185?
28:13 You know what?
28:14 I can do $185.
28:15 You can do $185?
28:16 Yeah.
28:17 Okay.
28:18 That is incredibly, incredibly cool of you.
28:20 I think we can, hold on.
28:21 I think we can make this work.
28:23 If we can get an SSD for $35.
28:26 And I get the CPUs from the other shop where there's no tax.
28:31 And we do, and we do 16 gigs of RAM instead of 24.
28:38 Then we're at $498.17.
28:45 Maybe I should have negotiated on the $2.50.
28:50 I'm telling you, dude.
28:51 So far we've got, like, what, two bucks?
28:54 Not even quite?
28:55 Uh, yeah, $2 left.
28:58 $2.
28:59 If I can get this guy, if I can get this guy to $7.50, then we'll have $4.50.
29:06 If we drive five hours, then we'll have $14.50, which is probably enough to do something RGB.
29:15 We could probably do something RGB for free.
29:20 Like, if we just wanted to, like, be idiots and, like, find red things and, like, leaves.
29:26 Fantastic.
29:28 That one works?
29:29 Absolutely.
29:30 Yeah, that one works.
29:31 Okay.
29:32 Done deal.
29:33 Pleasure doing business with you.
29:34 Thank you very much.
29:36 All right.
29:37 Does this have two drives in it?
29:38 This might have two drives in it.
29:39 Maybe it's, like, a RAID thing?
29:41 Is that what the dual interfaces are for?
29:43 Maybe there's actually two drives?
29:45 We'll have to see, but...
29:46 You know what's really funny is iFixit sponsored this, and we actually have to disassemble hard drive.
29:52 Day one, we have a thing.
29:55 Well, two things.
29:58 With that, our day is sort of done, though.
30:00 I think we got this.
30:01 Yeah, well, it's six o'clock.
30:03 Exactly.
30:04 We're just out getting food.
30:06 Yeah.
30:07 I have food.
30:08 Look.
30:09 Food.
30:10 Brandon, food?
30:11 Save food.
30:12 Yeah, we're not doing Scrapyard Wars anymore.
30:14 We're just getting some food.
30:15 Don't worry about it.
30:16 Okay, so let's drive back to the restaurant that we are at right now.
30:21 Okay, so this is day two, Scrapyard Wars.
30:30 Day one, Paul and I didn't really get any parts.
30:33 No one's here from the other team, right?
30:35 They can't hear us.
30:36 Okay, so we didn't get any parts yesterday,
30:38 so all the emails that I sent out was just casting a really wide net,
30:41 just being very polite and trying to see if anyone would reply.
30:45 I'm following up with all those people now.
30:47 Like, my house is on fire and we're all about to die
30:49 because we only have one more day of this.
30:51 Tomorrow is pretty much judgment day,
30:53 so pretty much we need to start parting things together,
30:55 hopefully by the end of tonight, early tomorrow morning.
30:58 So we're just going to have to see if people respond to a sense of urgency
31:03 and can tell in the tone of my emails
31:05 that this is a matter of life.
31:11 I feel like we've made some real connections
31:13 on a deep, emotional, human level
31:15 with the people that we're trying to negotiate with,
31:17 and that's important. We're getting the best deals.
31:19 Sorry, but I'm trying to get rid of the whole computer,
31:21 not interested in parting out. Screw you!
31:23 Kyle has some strategery he's working on right now.
31:26 We'll see if that works out. I'm not really sure.
31:29 Are you serious right now?
31:30 Yeah.
31:31 You're literally cleaning your car.
31:33 That's important.
31:34 In day two of Scrapyard Wars.
31:35 We need to be able to see clearly out the Windows
31:37 to the computer hardware that's outside.
31:39 You should not have Windex in your hand
31:41 unless it's for a side panel window, damn it.
31:43 All right, first stop for today is Fullerton, California.
31:48 Lovely town, established in 1898.
31:51 Get to the point, Paul.
31:52 Sorry.
31:54 There's a guy there with cases.
31:56 He has, I think he has four of them.
31:58 Some of them have some parts still in them.
32:01 Given that he's got four and he wants like nine bucks for them,
32:04 and it sounds like he might even just be like,
32:06 just please take these,
32:07 it might be just kind of a good stepping out
32:09 off point, get something in hand,
32:11 very minimal investments.
32:13 And we're really hoping there might be a power supply
32:16 in one of them that's usable too.
32:18 In other news, I just got a reply from the dude
32:20 that has a CPU and motherboard.
32:24 It's a KSKU.
32:25 I can't even remember, probably a 2600K.
32:28 It's all a border right now,
32:29 but it's a good CPU and motherboard.
32:30 And this is the guy who didn't want to meet us at lunch
32:34 because on his lunch break from work
32:36 because he said it was going to take too long
32:38 to assemble the system.
32:39 I told him that I'm a full-time system builder
32:41 and I could provide any assistance if possible.
32:43 And he said, that won't speed things up.
32:45 I just need to unscrew everything,
32:46 including my specialty mounted liquid cooler from the board.
32:48 Can you text me at this number?
32:50 So we got a number from him.
32:51 That's good.
32:52 So faster communication.
32:53 He said that would be faster.
32:54 I might be able to work something out.
32:56 I'm okay with you.
32:58 We're okay.
32:59 You know me.
33:00 I mean, I've got so much stuff listed on Craigslist.
33:02 I have so much stuff listed on LetGo and OfferUp
33:05 that afterwards I'll drop the price.
33:08 You just got to clear it out.
33:10 Are each of these 10 bucks?
33:12 Or what's actually the pricing on?
33:14 For this full working one, about 30.
33:17 25, 30.
33:18 For this, 10, 10.
33:19 That one, 5.
33:21 Do you know what's inside of that, by the way?
33:23 XP.
33:24 It's an XP?
33:25 It's a Dell.
33:26 It's a Dell.
33:27 There's a modem in there.
33:29 Yeah, here. Look, guys.
33:30 So it's also potentially a proprietary power supply.
33:33 So the power supply will not work for us.
33:36 Oh, okay.
33:38 It's proprietary, so it doesn't have the...
33:40 You guys are looking for something.
33:42 We're trying to part out an entire system
33:44 as quickly and as inexpensively as possible.
33:47 This is the basic game.
33:49 So there's a hard drive in there.
33:53 But I do appreciate you contacting me.
33:55 I do appreciate you following up.
33:56 Of course.
33:57 I like people like that
33:58 because I can drop the price
33:59 and get rid of all this stuff.
34:00 Yeah, yeah.
34:01 My wife can be happy.
34:02 I can be happy.
34:03 You can be happy.
34:04 This is an ATX chassis.
34:06 It could work.
34:07 It's got a window.
34:08 So technically, we'd be able to put some RGB lighting in it
34:11 and it would shine through.
34:13 Nothing else is really usable.
34:15 The hard drive's only 40 gig.
34:17 And it looks like we don't have the correct pins
34:20 or anything on that motherboard.
34:22 Well, the motherboard's just super outdated.
34:24 I don't even know what chipset it is.
34:26 The case looks good, though.
34:28 The case could work.
34:30 How much did you say for this one again?
34:32 Nine dollars.
34:33 Okay.
34:34 That is very strange.
34:35 I want you happy, guys.
34:36 I just can't hold this stuff.
34:37 I can't get back in the garage.
34:38 I feel you.
34:39 Yeah.
34:40 So this one doesn't have a window.
34:41 I'm trying to be honest.
34:42 Yeah, it's trying to find buyers for stuff.
34:44 I haven't had a job for over a year, guys.
34:46 Yeah.
34:47 I tend to hold on to things.
34:51 I feel you.
34:53 Are you sold on this one?
34:54 Do you think this will work?
34:55 It's got the space we need.
34:57 Is it a standard power supply mount?
34:59 Yeah, it's a typical standard ATX power supply mount.
35:02 All right, that'll work.
35:03 What about this girl?
35:04 We like the window on this guy
35:05 because that's one of the chipsets.
35:07 I can tell his wife was just like,
35:09 if you bring any of these home,
35:11 I'm going to continue to be mad at you or whatever.
35:13 So I offered to like, we can just take another one.
35:16 The cases were in pretty bad shape.
35:18 They weren't going to be able to be sold to anyone
35:20 besides people doing something like this.
35:22 Honestly, just to help you out with the wife situation
35:25 or whatever, I'll take one of them
35:27 if you just want to get rid of it
35:29 and come home with a little bit less stuff.
35:31 I mean, I'll probably end up recycling it, honestly.
35:34 But I mean, if that helps you.
35:36 Take that one in.
35:37 Okay.
35:38 You can do that.
35:39 All right.
35:41 Sir, for this guy right here, no change needed.
35:44 Extra doctor is a sign of gratitude.
35:47 Thank you so much.
35:49 This is perfect.
35:50 This is exactly what we're looking for right now.
35:52 Good, good.
35:53 Yes.
35:54 You did something good today.
35:55 You just made our day.
35:56 Success.
35:57 We should just call it here.
36:00 We're good.
36:01 Yeah.
36:02 Should have just taken his fully built system
36:04 and just presented that.
36:05 That would have been awesome.
36:07 Yeah.
36:08 All right.
36:09 This is wonderful.
36:11 Okay.
36:12 Day two.
36:13 Not a lot of good communication overnight.
36:19 But at least we have these really ancient-looking hard drives.
36:26 So there's that.
36:28 Yeah.
36:29 So I heard back from a lot of guys
36:31 I messaged about GTX 980s.
36:33 185 is definitely our best deal.
36:37 Okay.
36:38 This guy said 200.
36:40 This guy...
36:42 This guy's the 175 with the five-hour round-trip drive,
36:46 which I don't...
36:47 I think we shouldn't kill it yet.
36:49 I'll just...
36:51 Don't close the communication line.
36:53 I'll leave him hanging.
36:54 Yes.
36:55 I'll leave him hanging, which is just not very considerate.
36:57 A little bit rude, but it's fine.
36:59 Okay.
37:00 So I'm not going to lie.
37:01 That's some of the bad news for today.
37:03 The place with the bulk of the components,
37:05 motherboard, RAM, tower, SSD,
37:07 I haven't heard back from them since the afternoon yesterday.
37:11 And I've emailed them at the end of the day yesterday
37:14 and first thing this morning.
37:16 And what I said was,
37:18 we found the CPUs cheaper somewhere else,
37:20 so that freed up some budget.
37:22 And I wanted to take the tower for 40,
37:24 the motherboard for 75,
37:26 16 gigs, not 24 gigs of RAM for 40,
37:29 which is like per DIMM.
37:31 That's the price they gave.
37:32 And the 128 gig SSD,
37:33 I didn't try to negotiate.
37:34 I left it at 45 bucks.
37:35 And I was like,
37:36 okay, that should be 200 plus tax.
37:38 I haven't heard from them.
37:39 And they said,
37:40 once you place an order,
37:41 it's a one day lead time.
37:43 Yeah, we have much bigger problems right now.
37:47 IT Recycle Pro is in Palo Alto.
37:50 If they respond,
37:56 we could take a flight.
37:57 Technically,
37:58 flying is not against the rules.
38:00 It is a transport cost.
38:02 Transport costs are not within the fixed budget.
38:06 Palo, Ontario,
38:07 Ontario Airport, Palo Alto.
38:09 You look up Ontario,
38:10 I'll look up LAX.
38:15 LAX is only about an hour and a half drive from here.
38:18 How are we going to transport a server back on the plane?
38:21 You know what?
38:24 There's a nonstop flight from 7.45 tonight to 9.
38:28 Do they have Uber Chopper here?
38:30 Hi, this might be kind of a stupid question,
38:34 but is it possible to charter a flight to San Fran from LA?
38:43 Yeah, no, it's not stupid.
38:45 What date and time are you looking at?
38:48 Well, that's where it gets kind of stupid.
38:50 It would probably be today.
38:53 What time today?
38:55 So we don't know yet.
38:57 Long story short,
38:58 we're filming a thing,
39:00 and there's a part that it's,
39:03 that we'll know probably within the next hour or two.
39:06 There's a part that we need,
39:08 and the only way to get it might be to go pick it up in San Francisco.
39:12 So we would need a flight up there and then a flight back.
39:15 How many passengers are we going to have?
39:18 Two, three, three, three.
39:19 Sorry, there's a camera operator.
39:21 And just so you're aware,
39:24 a lot of folks associate us with helicopters.
39:26 Totally correct.
39:27 But for a trip like this,
39:29 I'd probably push you towards an airplane.
39:31 It's actually going to be a little bit more cost effective for you guys.
39:34 I've never flown in a helicopter.
39:36 It would be super cool.
39:37 So maybe I could get a price for both?
39:39 Yeah, absolutely.
39:40 That's no problem.
39:41 I hate to do this to you,
39:43 but can I have like kind of a ballpark?
39:45 Like are we looking at $2,000 or $20,000?
39:48 Just so I know what I'm dealing with.
39:51 And it's round trip.
39:52 We would need to come back.
39:54 We'd probably have to pay for an hour of sitting on the airfield,
39:57 I guess is how that works, right?
40:00 Yeah, yeah.
40:01 I'll see which operator we go with.
40:03 Yeah, so it looks like it would be about $6,000 each way.
40:08 Okay, got it.
40:09 Thank you.
40:10 Does that seem reasonable?
40:11 That seems like if we don't have another choice,
40:13 we're going to have to go for it.
40:15 All right.
40:16 Well, we'll see if we can bring the cost down as much as possible.
40:19 And when you reconnect with us,
40:20 we should have a few options for you, okay?
40:22 Okay, thanks, man.
40:23 You're welcome.
40:24 Okay, bye.
40:25 So I think we need to explore other options.
40:27 So Virgin has a nonstop from 6.30 to 8 o'clock from LAX to SFO.
40:33 So tonight is our late pickup night.
40:36 Yeah.
40:37 That flight is only $292.
40:41 So if we were to get a hotel there,
40:44 or you know what we could do?
40:46 Here's a crazy thought.
40:47 What if we flew there and drove back?
40:50 I was actually kind of thinking if we like check in the car here,
40:55 say we need to pick it up again.
40:57 Yeah.
40:58 And just get it from the same guys and then drive back.
41:01 So we fly out at like 5 tonight or something.
41:04 Yeah.
41:05 And then just drive back.
41:07 And it would be quite late when we'd get back.
41:09 It's better for the server though.
41:11 Dude, we're going to end up here all day again.
41:13 Like we got to get out and get moving.
41:15 We need some other.
41:16 Okay, here's what I'm going to do.
41:18 I'm going to call the guy with the CPUs,
41:22 the guy who works at the like film studio.
41:25 Maybe they have the rest of the workstation.
41:27 And I have other good news.
41:29 The guys that I called and talked to
41:32 who were willing to do the cash deal on the CPUs.
41:35 Yeah.
41:36 But their pricing wasn't any better.
41:38 Those guys are local, local.
41:40 Inglewood.
41:41 Okay.
41:42 So they haven't replied to my email
41:44 saying all the stuff I needed though.
41:46 But they're local and they said we could go there.
41:48 Okay.
41:49 Now I feel terrible because I was like
41:52 the guy that I've strung along for so long.
41:55 What's his name?
41:56 Justin.
41:57 I'm like emailing and being like,
41:58 yeah, what time can we come today?
41:59 The earlier the better.
42:01 Now I look like a total asshole.
42:03 It's like,
42:04 we didn't realize that you're in a completely different city
42:07 because we're idiots.
42:09 Just don't say that.
42:11 I feel like we would like to present it to him
42:13 like later tonight.
42:15 If we flew there at night,
42:16 we wouldn't even be able to go into their shop.
42:17 They'd be closed.
42:19 Yeah, there's earlier flights though.
42:21 Oh, that was the earliest one I saw.
42:23 Are you sure the earlier ones aren't like 17 hours
42:25 with like multiple stops?
42:27 Yeah, they'll be closed for sure.
42:30 Unless we were able to get on one 15 minutes ago.
42:33 Right.
42:34 Because I think it's like morning and then like evening.
42:37 Studio guy's not picking up.
42:39 I'm going to call JE Components here.
42:41 I can't believe I overlooked that.
42:43 I spent all this time like,
42:44 basically we built the entire strategy
42:46 around getting that bare bones from those guys.
42:49 This is like not good.
42:51 JE Components might be an okay alternative though.
42:54 Hi.
42:55 I called into you guys yesterday about,
42:58 we're putting together,
42:59 actually it's like a gaming computer,
43:01 but we think we can use some server hardware for it.
43:04 Okay.
43:05 I did send you an email,
43:07 but our situation has changed a little bit.
43:10 We found a really cheap source for the CPUs,
43:13 but we still need RAM, motherboard,
43:16 chassis and power supply and cooling
43:19 as well as a cheap SSD.
43:23 Are we able to come in?
43:24 Do you guys have just kind of random
43:26 dual socket motherboards and some,
43:28 we're actually looking for a tower chassis,
43:30 not a rack mount chassis if possible.
43:32 Sure.
43:33 Thank you so much.
43:34 We're kind of desperate.
43:35 Shoot.
43:37 Honestly,
43:42 I haven't found anything like as big
43:45 and professional looking as these guys though.
43:49 Oh, 1230.
43:52 Oh, that's in an hour and a half.
43:54 That's not bad.
43:55 That's from Ontario to SFO too.
43:59 That's a good flight.
44:01 Yeah.
44:02 That's a good flight.
44:04 I'll give Justin like 235.
44:08 235 bucks.
44:09 Yep.
44:10 Okay.
44:13 And then we'd be back by 630.
44:15 Hey, Justin.
44:16 It's Ash calling from our emails yesterday.
44:19 If we were able to get there before five,
44:21 would we be able to get it today?
44:23 Is it possible?
44:24 I think we could go ahead and make that happen.
44:28 Email me your shipping address
44:29 and I'll take care of that.
44:31 Okay.
44:32 Great, thank you.
44:34 Right there.
44:35 Hold on, we might have a slight problem.
44:37 Shipping address?
44:38 I didn't account for tax for the SSD in our budget.
44:41 We're $2 over.
44:43 I should have let you negotiate on the hard drive.
44:47 Look, you were right and I was wrong.
44:49 Do you feel good about it?
44:51 No.
44:52 Should we just show up and be $2 short?
44:56 I don't think they're going to let us get away with that.
44:58 No.
44:59 These guys are, like, kind of legit.
45:02 Michael might.
45:03 We're pushing our meeting out with him another day.
45:06 Like, we're kind of screwing Michael.
45:09 So we're screwing Michael and Omid,
45:11 and we expect one of them to give us a $2 discount.
45:17 Well, let's get moving, one way or another.
45:20 Like, we don't have a choice.
45:27 There's no other flight?
45:29 Not really.
45:31 What time do we have to be at the airport?
45:33 Uh, 12.20.
45:35 12.20 at the airport?
45:37 Yeah, so we have 45 minutes.
45:39 Can we get to Michael first?
45:40 Oh, my God.
45:41 And passports?
45:43 Here, I'm grabbing your iFixit.
45:44 Let's go.
45:45 Where's Michael?
45:46 Yeah, we'll figure it out.
45:47 Oh, no, I have mine.
45:48 I have mine.
45:48 Let's just get the f*** out of here.
45:50 Will these cases help Paul and Kyle tower above the competition?
45:55 Will Luke and Linus make their flight,
45:57 or are they destined to be grounded?
45:59 Find out next time on Scrapyard Wars.
