0:00 i don't know about you but i'm ready for a healthy heaping dose of tech news
0:05 jeremy would you just call me john
0:09 jamiroquai that's not important
0:12 at AMD's next horizon gaming event at e3
0:15 the company took the wraps off the Radeon rx 5700 and 5700 xt as well as
0:20 their ryzen 3000 lineup yeah oh he was
0:24 excited you've been waiting
0:28 all right the rx 5700 xt will be going up against
0:32 NVIDIA's rtx 2070 in performance while
0:35 undercutting its price by 50 at 449 while the rx 5700 will face off against
0:40 the rtx 2060 at a cheaper price point as well of 3.79 there's also a fancy
0:46 anniversary edition of the xt that's clocked a little higher for 4.99 now
0:50 there's no ray tracing to be seen but AMD did show off intelligent sharpening
0:55 yep which can make game visuals more crisp with virtually no performance
1:00 impact on the verizon side we got a very promising set of chips from the six core
1:04 ryzen 5 3600 to the ryzen 9 3950x
1:08 the first mainstream processor with 16 cores and 32 threads we're gonna have to
1:13 wait until july 7th when AMD will launch all of these gpus and cpus to get
1:18 real-world benchmarks but i don't think anyone could argue that dr lisa sue is
1:23 telling the whole tech industry they need to go in for a checkup because they
1:27 haven't been to the clinic in like 10 years they've probably got some weird
1:31 growths somewhere they should probably get looked at the doctor is it ah yeah
1:36 but hold on just a minute because NVIDIA just isn't going to take these blows
1:40 lying down that's not like NVIDIA they blow standing up
1:44 remember that super teaser that NVIDIA posted a while back we've now got some
1:48 ideas what it might mean thanks to sources inside the company now these are
1:53 rumors so get your salt shaker out but NVIDIA is reportedly going to release
1:58 supercharged versions of the rtx 2060
2:01 2070 2080 and 2080 ti
2:05 with the 2080 ti super having a completely new chip
2:10 now those super versions would come out at the same price point as their
2:14 non-super counterparts counterports yep
2:18 with the original rtx cards being bumped down in price i wouldn't normally pay
2:23 much attention to rumors like this but i did this time because if it's true
2:26 it basically nullifies the competitiveness of the rx 5700 series
2:31 unless they also do a price drop
2:34 so the leaks say we could see the super cards announced in june but given
2:38 NVIDIA's love for gamescom it might be as late as august i didn't have a joke
2:43 for that it's just kind of crazy speaking of leaks the internet was
2:46 riddled with ones concerning google's upcoming pixel 4 and its probable
2:51 multi-rear camera setup renders were posted showing a square-shaped rear
2:55 camera bump similar to the one seen in leaks of the iphone 11 and google
2:59 apparently had enough of it so they just went ahead and posted a teaser image of
3:04 the pixel 4 on twitter confirming the square camera bump design
3:08 yeah we did it we did it yes
3:12 leaks work google has resisted including multiple
3:16 rear cameras in previous pixels but i guess they've given in to peer pressure
3:19 this time let's just hope apple doesn't go jumping off any bridges
3:23 google did not however comment on the other rumors about gesture sensing
3:27 features on the pixel 4. those rumors might make some sense since google's
3:32 project solely has been working on a tiny chip to enable touchless
3:36 interaction with mobile devices hopefully those gestures are
3:39 customizable because i've always wanted to literally shoo away incoming calls
3:44 you know project solo like you could go oh i'm getting nap no no later
3:49 now it's time for quick bits brought to you by brilliant look

4:33 quick bits
4:36 yeah there were too many game trailers and announcements and stuff for me to
4:40 properly sum up here from e3 but i'll tell you what i was most tickled by
4:44 new super smash bros ultimate characters
4:48 the hero from dragon quest is coming to the game and he's joined by finally
4:52 banjo-kazooie what you wanted me to talk about rainbow six quarantine yeah
4:58 yeah those are cool too
5:02 banjo-kazooie though
5:06 but also at e3 ubisoft announced their own version of xbox game pass you play
5:11 plus with over a hundred games accessible for 15 bucks a month it'll be
5:15 available for Windows pc this fall and on stadia
5:19 in 2020. wait
5:23 what bad news for china nintendo and google
5:27 are reportedly moving at least some of the production of switch consoles and
5:31 nest devices respectively out of china and into southeast asia meanwhile
5:36 taiwanese company foxconn who's the manufacturer behind many apple devices
5:40 also said the company has enough capacity to make every iphone outside of
5:44 china and that apple might do just that and we have the american trade war to
5:48 thank or curse depending on depending on where you're
5:52 sitting gamers aren't happy using regular old keyboards mice or monitors
5:56 and now we have our very own web browser
6:00 opera is currently beta testing opera gx
6:03 that's how you know it's for gamers gamerx
6:08 opera gx allows users to control how much of their CPU and memory the browser
6:12 is using so you can leave it open and not have it steal all the RAM away from
6:15 your game so that's pretty cool but the gamer cred you'll get from your friends
6:18 for using it that's bonus that's an extra life
6:24 uber will begin testing drone food delivery this summer as part of its uber
6:28 elevate program
6:32 food food bird no bluebird
6:35 no elevate yeah
6:38 customers in the san diego area will be able to order food from mcdonald's and
6:43 only mcdonald's for the test and have a drone deliver it to a drop-off location
6:47 at which point an uber driver will pick it up and complete the delivery
6:52 so it's it's not as cool as it sounds but there are drones involved and drones are cool
6:58 so it's not dumb and french tech company
7:02 OLED com will demo its light-powered li-fi
7:06 wireless internet onboard a passenger plane at the international paris air
7:10 show next week li-fi could enable in-flight internet speeds of up to 100
7:14 megabits per second per seat the fastest available on us flights is currently
7:19 around 15 megabits per second now there won't be any lan parties in the sky just
7:24 yet as this is maybe yeah this is just a demo but uh yeah
7:29 well they're not they're not making the internet that goes to the plane faster
7:33 it's just once it's there it's a bit of a bottleneck issue all
7:37 right that's it for this episode guys thanks for watching you know i love you
7:41 and you know james loves even more so why don't you come back on friday so for
7:45 some more love that is i love you so much
7:48 well we love you ah
7:51 and you'll get tech news as well it's just a bonus
