0:00 so today I'm going to be doing a quick and dirty unboxing of one of my Christmas presents which is a Corsair
0:05 flash Voyager 8 gig Drive I mean you can
0:08 never have enough USB thumb drives is is my mentality pretty much and the Flash
0:12 Voyager is a pretty good little drive it's got a ruggedized rubber sheathing
0:17 that goes all around it to protect it should you drop it or step on it or do
0:21 whatever else it is you need to do to it so basically what Corsair says about it
0:25 is that it is durable shockproof plug-and playay Windows compatible and
0:28 carries a 10-year Limited warranty so like so many of Corsair's products the
0:32 warranty is what really sets it apart from you know buying a generic one off
0:37 the shelf at whatever Big Box store okay
0:40 so let's just get this open from the bottom here and we'll just have a quick
0:43 look this won't take long I promise uh
0:46 the flash Voyager is available in a bunch of different sizes I think
0:49 throughout the life cycle of this product it's been anywhere from I think like 64 Megs and now it goes up to about
0:54 64 gigs so you can see that it has kind of like a green rubberized grippy
1:00 business at on either side here this is an activity LED that shows you if you
1:04 are using it and it is has data transferring this key ring I'm not sure
1:09 how much I like this because you can see there's no structure inside it it's
1:13 actually just Rubber and I've run into a bit of an issue with my Corsair Survivor
1:18 Drive where the the key hook is not durable enough and it's actually
1:21 starting to come off they've got a link here to Corsair memory.com and you can
1:25 see removing the cap is actually not that easy so on unless you're using it
1:31 just excessively taking the cap off and putting it back on it should maintain
1:35 its grippiness on the USB contact itself
1:38 and you shouldn't have too much trouble with losing the cap but something to be aware of is that if you contact Corsair
1:43 and let them know you lost your cap they will send you a replacement cap that is
1:47 their policy so there's your USB interface itself and thank you for
1:51 checking out my unboxing of the Corsair flash Voyager
