0:00 Linus Tech tips coverage of CES 2015 is brought to you by Phantom glass visit
0:04 store. phantom.in screen protectors out there
0:08 as well as hyperx now we reviewed the Rog Gladius not that long ago the first
0:13 2,000 HZ pulling rate Mouse there were some things we liked about it there were
0:17 some things that weren't quite perfect about it yet and we kind of said okay
0:20 well as Su still has some work to do on Mouse development but we're not counting
0:25 them out of the game here because it's a pretty darn good first effort well
0:29 they're following up with some additional stuff right off the Hop here
0:32 that looks pretty interesting so this one right here is the sea we're figuring
0:37 it's going to be around a $40 MSRP is
0:40 that sound about right I'm getting the kind of this sort of gesture it's going
0:43 to feature a 5,000 DPI sensor we don't know exactly which one but we do know
0:48 that it's Optical it's kind of a No Frills no gimmick Mouse on the surface
0:52 very similar to the very well regarded g100s in terms of the ergonomics and the
0:57 size and the weight as far as I can tell with this gigantic piece of Plexi
1:01 attached to it although it seems like it's pretty much in that neighborhood but it comes with some features that you
1:06 might not normally expect so it's got LED lighting on the back of it and it
1:10 also features upgradable socketed switches so while this one doesn't come
1:15 with Omron switches like the Gladius doeses you can swap them out if you want
1:19 very very easily but that's not the only Mouse they have coming this is the
1:23 sparta and this is where I need you guys to get involved because JJ personally
1:28 will be reading the comments on this video and taking your feedback back to
1:32 assus HQ when they decide on how to continue to develop this mouse so this
1:37 is going to be a wireless sort of MMO uh MOBA RPG type optimized Mouse so you've
1:43 got six programmable macro buttons on the side here you've got a couple more
1:47 to the left of the left click you've got your left and right click and then
1:50 you've got what appears to be either it's going to be a button is that going
1:53 to be a DPI switch Yeah that's going to be a DPI switch up here at the top you
1:57 will be able to use it in wired mode so all this sounds pretty it's going to
2:00 feature wireless charging which is pretty freaking cool so there's a little thing here it can sit on a stand it can
2:05 sit down flat but the big one that they don't know yet is they're still
2:08 evaluating three different sensors and
2:11 you know we don't know which way it's going to go it could be even laser or Optical so I want you guys to weigh in
2:16 what sensor would you like to see and bear in mind guys that there isn't a
2:21 laser sensor on the market that doesn't have inherent acceleration or other
2:27 anomalies if we want something that tracks one one we got to give them a
2:31 little prod in the right direction tell them we want an optical sensor that
2:34 doesn't feature any nonsense and just pure onetoone tracking ASUS please
2:38 deliver that for us guys let JJ know what you want to see speaking of
2:43 tracking they've got the Rog Wet Stone
2:46 mouse pad this is a little bit unique in that a it's textured and I kind of went
2:50 are you guys High because textured mouse pad mouse pads with Graphics these
2:55 things have been very terrible experiences for me in the past just
2:59 because tracking can often be very jittery and uneven over them they went
3:02 no no no no no hold on a second we actually revised this quite a few times
3:06 in order to get the distance or the the like the height difference between the
3:11 pattern and the and the valleys just right so that not only our mice but
3:15 other mice track just awesome across it
3:18 the other unique thing about this guy is that aside from the heat treated edges
3:22 that should prevent it from fraying this is the first silicone mouse pad so it's
3:27 not just your typical Rubber and cl cloth soft mouse mat it's silicone so
3:32 that means a couple of things number one is it should be much more durable and
3:35 number two is it's going to be completely resistant to spills even
3:39 liquids and odors so if you don't want a
3:42 stinky mouse pad then you might want to spend yourself uh probably in the
3:46 neighborhood of sort of 35 to 40 bucks on a wet stone low friction mouse pad
3:51 with uh durable anti-slip silicone base
3:55 intricate Mayan Mayan pattern surface minimizes friction Mayan patterned all
4:01 right I love you guys but sometimes your sometimes your marketing bullet points
4:05 are just silly um speaking of silly marketing Phantom glass decided to have
4:10 us tell you guys about how great their screen protectors are that's not silly
4:15 that makes a ton of sense so basically these are the clearest screen protectors
4:19 we've ever encountered they feel just like the glass that was already on your
4:23 phone they are scratch resistant and pretty much resistant to any kind of
4:26 ugliness you can put your phone in your pocket with your keys not worry about it
4:30 they're super easy to apply it's basically impossible to get a bubble
4:33 stuck under it and you can check them out at store.
4:39 phantom.of because they're made of the same Gorilla Glass that your phone
4:42 already has on the front of it that you can actually put third party cases like
4:45 this bumper that I have on without worrying about compatibility like with
4:49 other screen protectors where they might peel up at the edges also want to give a
4:52 shout out to hyperx thank you so much for allowing us to be here at the show
4:57 you guys can check out the YouTube channel it's youtube.com/ hyperx we'll
5:00 have both of those guys Linked In the video description so huge thanks for our
5:03 sponsors thanks to you guys and make sure you leave a comment we want an optical sensor in this not that I'm
5:08 leading you guys in One Direction or the other thanks for watching and don't
5:11 forget to subscribe so you don't miss any of our CES content
