0:17 their seven series mice so the G7 the g700 and now the g700s is the fact that
0:24 they are all Wireless but gaming grade the G7 was really the first mouse that
0:29 was marketed as a gaming grade wireless mouse and the difference between gaming
0:33 capable Wireless mice and non-gaming capable ones is all about the latency so
0:38 creating a wireless connection that is low latency enough that Gamers aren't
0:43 going to notice any input leg from the mouse is key to being able to well being
0:49 able to be responsive enough particularly for FPS gamers in order to
0:53 really with a straight face call it gaming grade now Logitech has recently
0:58 upgraded a huge well pretty much their entire G Series of products with this s
1:04 suffix at the end of it so the S is for
1:08 I don't know for Supreme performance or
1:11 Surface or something like that and what they've really done is they've upgraded
1:14 the materials that they're using on the products themselves covering them in a
1:19 hydrophobic coating upgrading things like the grippy sides upgrading
1:23 everything about them to make them last longer and feel better on the user's
1:28 hand so they shouldn't get all sort of greasy and sweaty and nasty and they
1:31 should be easier to grip and they shouldn't peel back in fact my only
1:35 complaint about one of my favorite mice ever the G9 was the fact that my grip
1:39 peeled other than that it was near perfect so let's see what else Logitech
1:43 has to say for themselves about this 200 all the way up to 8200 DPI giving you
1:48 the ultimate inflexibility so that's 12 megapixels per second in image
1:52 processing and the a maximum speed of up to 4 m/ second so for context that's
1:58 tested on popular game mouse pad surfaces so for context guys that'd be
2:02 like if I was moving my mouse this fast
2:06 like probably faster like no one actually well okay maybe someone
2:09 actually moves like that over a very short distance but either way it should be able to handle it um let's go back up
2:15 back to the box over here uh 16 bits per axis up to a th000 reports per second
2:19 that's great for a wireless mouse there's only a few that are capable of
2:22 that and durability of 20 million clicks for the buttons and 250 kilometers for
2:27 the feed although Unfortunately they don't say what surface that is on so
2:31 apparently the buttons are fingerprint resistant it's you can recharge and
2:36 handle data over single connection it has five onboard memory profiles which
2:39 you can switch between with this button 13 programmable buttons and you can
2:43 adjust your DPI on the fly now one of
2:46 the coolest Logitech features that they really introduced so here let's go
2:50 through what's in here um but I'll talk about the scroll wheel in a minute so
2:54 you've got an extension cord for the wireless receiver and it does not use
2:57 the same unified Wireless receiver that their other products are capable of
3:01 connecting to this is a special one and you it is just for your gaming mouse
3:06 because the data rates required are higher than on their consumer grade
3:10 products so there you go this extension cable is about um I don't know about a
3:15 little less than a lonus armspan so it must be around 5 ft long and then you
3:19 can run that to somewhere where you're going to have good reception and there are flat bottom pieces here so you can
3:24 stick it to something or do whatever else you want with it we've also got a cable that can be used to charge the
3:28 mouse or run in wired mode so this one
3:32 right here is not braided or anything like that in fact out of all the mice
3:35 I've seen so far from their new GS series The g500s is the only one that's
3:40 had a braided cable it doesn't really affect performance but it's one of those
3:44 premium feeling things that I wouldn't have minded seeing if they could include
3:48 it so you can see how it plugs in right here so you can plug it into charge
3:51 unplug it to not charge and it'll look just like a Wired Mouse when you are not
3:55 operating it in that fashion let's have a look at what else they've got included
3:59 here look like a setup guide plug the thing into the thing in all likelihood
4:03 warranty information it does have a three-year warranty it should be noted
4:06 that logitech's warranty is absolutely legendary and I've personally
4:09 experienced it in the past many times they don't even require you to ship the
4:13 product back to them at all so here's the battery a love to see that if you
4:17 guys have been watching my videos for any kind of period of time you'll know I
4:21 love Sano anal Loops oh I guess now they're pan Panasonic whatever well this
4:25 one still has the Sano branding on it I love anal Loops they're the best
4:29 rechargeable batteries they're awesome and the cool thing about anal Loops is
4:33 it means your g700s is going to arrive ready to play you don't have to charge
4:37 it before you use it because they hold a charge incredibly well uh there's an
4:41 onoff switch at the bottom so you can turn it off when you're in transit and
4:44 they have enormous nons or enormous uh
4:47 slippy pads on the bottom of the mouse this doesn't affect how much friction
4:52 the mouse has with the surface below it because that's not how friction works
4:55 but what it does do is it effectively makes the mouse more durable because
4:59 there's hair there there's more surface to rub off over time so that's I guess
5:03 how they're getting that 250 km durability on the mouse itself so let's
5:08 go ahead and uh let's get this uh get this mouse going on here so we've got a
5:13 right-handed shape which we've come to expect from Logitech gaming mice they
5:18 don't have a left-handed Mouse I kind of wish they do one and I know that many
5:21 left-handed Gamers do but it's a very ergonomic shape now you can see here
5:26 this is designed for Palm the shape here fits right into your palm and you can
5:31 quite comfortably especially if you have slightly larger hands than me I have quite small hands so you can see there's
5:35 a fair bit of space left at the end of the buttons and my index finger sits in
5:41 such a way that I'm kind of between these two so if you had medium-sized
5:44 hands you'd sit right here where you can very easily press this one this one or
5:49 this one so those are the G8 G9 and G10 buttons these are fully programmable
5:53 buttons um and your hand would also sit
5:56 a little bit more forward on the mouse and you know it would be a little bit more more comfortable so I wouldn't
6:00 necessarily recommend this for people with super small hands like I have on
6:04 the side of the mouse you've got four more G buttons as well as the battery
6:08 indicator and a very very nice coating finish here we've seen this already on
6:12 some of the other GS series mice and it's equally impressive here however I
6:17 haven't used them for long enough to get my hands sweaty to the point where I've
6:20 observed the difference in the hydrophobic coating now back to the
6:23 scroll wheel this is such an awesome Logitech feature I oh I love it so
6:29 normally it's a clicky scroll wheel here I'm going to hold it up to the mic up
6:32 here so you guys can hear got that click can you hear that
6:37 all right awesome now check this out by pressing this gear button this disengage
6:41 button here free Spin so if you don't use your
6:46 mouse only for gaming and you also use it for work or maybe you want to bind
6:49 something to like a bajillion scroll wheel flicks you can just flick the
6:53 mouse you can browse through Excel sheets web pages whatever else very very
6:57 quickly you just go flick stop when you see the thing you want to see and it's
7:00 absolutely awesome I believe this button right yep this button right here is
7:04 cycling through the DPI profiles so we got 1 2 3 four five different DPI
7:09 profiles just by clicking on that button up at the top but you can rebind the G
7:14 buttons to whatever you want so the total number of buttons is count them up
7:18 with me 1 2 3 one on the click right
7:22 there five sort of counts cuz it only does this so 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 11
7:29 buttons let's see if that's what they say on the box cuz maybe I missed one
