0:00 so we're here at the MSI booth at PA Prime 2015 and they are throwing one
0:05 heck of a party it all centers around
0:08 the Grand Final of their Master's Gaming Arena 2015 this is a Heroes of the Storm
0:14 and Starcraft 2 competition that has actually been going on since May of this
0:19 year and we are finding out actually right behind us right now who will be
0:23 taking home the title for Heroes of the Storm and Starcraft 2 is going to be
0:26 tomorrow but the subject of this video is the technology running the show
0:30 behind me so let's have a closer look at the laptops that the gamers up on the
0:35 stage there are using okay so I promised we'd check out
0:39 the GE 62s that the competitors are using up there but we got a little
0:43 distracted on the way because this is the next Generation
0:48 gt72s okay it's kind of similar it's a little bit bigger but it has some pretty
0:53 amazing upgrades over the last generation product so first of all this
0:56 is running the allnew core i7 6820 HK
1:01 yes K overclocking on a notebook we've
1:04 talked about this on W show now it's real MSI figures you can Peak at around
1:09 4.2 GHz if you overclock on a quadcore on a
1:13 laptop and you can run sustain probably in the neighborhood of about 4 GHz and
1:18 the rest of the specs are no slouch as well you've got a GTX 980m 8 gig in
1:23 there it's got a 17.3 in full HD g-sync
1:27 display it's got up to 64 GB by of ddr4
1:31 memory but the storage oh the storage is
1:35 where things get really off the hook as I believe the kids say check out this
1:40 Crystal disc Mark that is a read speed of 3.2 gigabytes per second and a right
1:45 speed of 1.25 GB per second they are
1:48 achieving this with two PCIe Forex gen 3
1:53 ssds those are NVMe
1:57 ssds that is something that I personally
2:00 um have not seen before oh yeah there
2:04 are some other upgrades right physically so it's got a new keyboard design and
2:08 they've replaced one of the DisplayPort ports in the back with USB type c with
2:14 Thunderbolt 3 capability coming in the future the certification is not quite
2:18 done yet but the logo's on there the Hardware's in there and it is going to
2:22 be ready to go very very soon okay I had
2:26 to stop and see this this is the Nightblade m now this isn't the first
2:31 time that we've seen MSI do a super
2:34 compact gaming machine but this is a
2:37 whole other level because you guys will be much more impressed by it when I tip
2:41 it over onto its side and show you just how slim this puppy is so it features
2:47 support for the latest sixth generation core i7 processors yes you can stuff a
2:51 6700k in here it's got a custom mini ITX
2:54 motherboard inside that takes so damn memory so they are like really going for
2:58 all the space saving they can get on this bad boy it can hold a fullsize
3:03 graphics card so this particular one is kitted out with a GTX 970 with their
3:08 allnew Silent Storm cooling on it but yeah it's really fast it's got lots of
3:13 cooling and all that stuff but that is not even what's most impressive about
3:17 this bad boy to me so let's go ahead and open her up oh wow that came off pretty
3:21 smoothly normally it doesn't go that well for me we've got a single 2 and 1/2
3:25 in SSD up here we've got two 3 and half
3:30 inch hard drives on these handy dandy little sleds you just take out two
3:33 screws and you're ready to replace a hard drive and we've got an optical
3:36 drive they fit four drives into this
3:40 tiny like shoe box siiz chassis I mean
3:44 that's freaking unbelievable so if you do want to pick one up it'll be
3:48 available as a barebones in North America so basically you throw in your
3:52 own CPU and drives and like all that
3:55 kind of stuff or in other regions worldwide you'll be able to buy it as a
3:58 complete system very nice and wrapping things up we've
4:03 got the all-in-one that's being used by the commentators here this is the 24g E2
4:08 QE and we've seen gaming grade Allin
4:11 ones okay so yeah it's got a core i7 processor either fourth or fifth gen
4:15 depending on which skew you're shopping for this particular one is fourth gen
4:19 it's got a GTX 960m so you can watch videos at the 4K resolution of the
4:26 built-in 23.6 in screen and play like
4:29 mainstream games like League of Legends it's got enough horsepower for that it's
4:33 got 16 gigs of RAM it's got a 128 gig MSA SSD with two slots for 2 and 1 12 in
4:39 drives in this case it's got a couple of hard drives for mass storage but the
4:42 thing that we haven't really seen much of in the past is super slim gaming
4:47 Allin ones it's one of those things I've always wondered why we don't do we've
4:50 got all these slim gaming laptops well Ms side goes well hold on a second
4:54 that's the same bloody technology why don't we go ahead and put that into an
4:57 allinone and they're doing a few other things right with this one as well that
5:01 4K display is now IPS and 10-point
5:05 multitouch so it's got all all the
5:08 fixings as far as all of that is concerned so thanks for checking out our
5:13 coverage of the MSI I don't even want to call it a a a booth it's like an
5:19 extravaganza here at PAX Prime 2015 don't miss any of our content and I will
5:24 see you guys on our next video assuming you subscribe which you should
