so thanks to MSI for bringing us here this year we would not be here without them you can check out all their
0:03
products that they're launching at this show in the description of the video down below also thank you to linda.com
0:08
all right guys welcome to the ASUS Booth where we will be checking out the ASUS
0:12
GTX 980 TI stricks and the RGB Claymore
0:16
keyboard so what's special about the stricks well it's featuring new direct
0:20
CU cooling 3 instead of direct CU cooling 2 which has three fans instead
0:25
of two fans so if they keep going with this for a while they'll end up with six
0:29
fans on Direct C U6 but anyways regardless doesn't matter for heat pipes
0:32
they've got two 10 mm heat pipes two 6 mm heat pipes and 1 8 mm heat pipe
0:38
cooling it and a new design on those fans but we'll probably talk about those
0:42
more later if we get one of these for review back at the office in terms of
0:46
performance there's some interesting stuff going on here uh at first I read
0:49
the little card and it was like oh GPU clock speed to be determined and memory
0:53
clock speed to be determined but then they had their overclocking software open so I was able to figure out their
0:57
temps and everything but they said it's okay so I'll talk about it here in OC
1:02
mode they're running at 12:47 on the core clock in gaming mode they're
1:06
running at 1228 and in silent mode they're also running at 1228 the reason
1:10
why the difference between gaming and silent mode is nothing is because in
1:14
silent mode your fans are going to run a little bit slower and your temperature
1:17
will be a little bit higher but the performance should be more or less the same also their memory is running at an
1:21
unsurprising 7,010 MHz and with GPU tweak 2 you have a few options I know I
1:28
already said something about OC mode and gaming mode and silent mode but if you
1:32
go out of the kind of simple area of GPU tweak 2 which you can still see what
1:36
everything's currently running at the charts on the Le hand side but if you go
1:40
into the like I think it's called professional tab you can control things
1:43
like you would and say After Burner or GPU tweak 1 or Precision or whatever the
1:49
heck software you decide to use to overclock your graphics card now you
1:52
might also notice that the cooler is pretty big it's a little bit longer than
1:56
the actual standard PCB and it's a fair amount taller but it isn't any thicker
2:01
so this is a dual slot card not a triple not a 2 and 1/2 none of that kind of
2:05
stuff so you'll be able to fit fine with two slots but please do note it is
2:09
taller and it is longer when you're looking for case compatibility now
2:12
that's all I can really say outside of a full proper review of the card but one
2:16
more thing I want to point out is their Auto extreme technology this is an
2:20
industry first 100% automated production process and material design and they've
2:24
got a cool little demo here where you can see the difference between what was probably soldered by a human and what
2:29
was Ed by a machine pretty cool combination next up is the Claymore RGB
2:34
and I know I know I know another freaking keyboard video from Luke but it
2:37
it's fairly interesting trust me okay so it's an RGB keyboard but this is the
2:42
first as far as I know RGB keyboard that is using cherries RGB switches that
2:47
Corsair helped develop that isn't a Corsair keyboard fairly interesting I
2:51
think they have finally loosened their iron grip on those switches now also
2:56
it's it has it looks like a 10 keyless here but there is another 10 key module
3:00
they just don't have it available that 10 key module will have a volume slider
3:03
on it and will be able to be plugged in independently so it doesn't actually
3:07
need to be plugged directly into the keyboard if you wanted to use it on a
3:11
laptop or whatever you could do that if you put that 10 key add-on on the right
3:15
side of the keyboard it's a normal num pad if you put that 10K out on on the
3:19
left side of the keyboard however it's a crazy macro pad for a huge amount of
3:23
macros that you can use a really interesting way of having that 10ky
3:27
add-on set up not interesting enough for you but wait there's more if you have an
3:31
Rog motherboard you can sync your motherboard and keyboard together and
3:35
you can control your CPU fan speed based on a function key on the keyboard or you
3:39
can even have the RGB of your keyboard
3:43
uh reflecting the temperature of your CPU which is pretty freaking cool also
3:47
you can sync a whole bunch of things together so you can sync your keyboard
3:50
and your mouse together to make all the breathing effects sync together which is
3:53
cool I asked if this can also work with the breathing effect of the LED on your
3:58
motherboard considering you can control other stuff along with your motherboard
4:02
they weren't entirely sure so I'll have to stay tuned for that let me know what you guys think about the graphics card
4:06
or the keyboard in the description down below or on Twitter at lukor LFR also
