0:07 welcome to my unboxing of the antech one
0:10 now this is yeah I know you were expecting me to say 100 after that or
0:14 something right no no no this is just the antech 25 no no no not the antech 25
0:21 that's how many years ante has been
0:25 uh well around no the one is the model
0:29 number not the 25 no 100 the one so what
0:32 is the one all about the one is all about an up-to-date feature set good
0:41 ventilation sturdy construction we hope
0:46 we're about to find out that for sure although if it's antech that's pretty
0:49 much my expectation um even on their value cases they really don't make
0:53 anything flimsy I mean look at this they're still using double walled cardboard even for a value Orient case
1:00 now they have opted for a hard foam
1:03 versus um versus a soft foam which is
1:07 not my preferred way of doing things but given this is a more value case I think
1:12 we can forgive them for it because nobody should be loading up you know 60
1:16 lbs worth of computer hardware in a case like this this is more for you need a
1:21 basic system you want it to be ATX compatible so not not matx but you want
1:26 something fairly small with good ventilation Etc Etc so here is the an
1:32 actually that's not bad it looks kind of
1:35 like the um it looks kind of like a more upto-date
1:39 300 um actually we've got a 300 over there that's serving us quite well as
1:44 our Tech tips video editing machine so I
1:47 I do personally believe in the in fact that is the 300 that was part of the NC
1:53 Tech tips episode on thermal management where we took a crappy case and we uh s
1:59 we swapped it out for the 300 in order to demonstrate how much cooler your PC
2:03 can run if you have a case that is designed for optimal Cooling and there
2:08 it is all right so let's start with the externals we've got thumb
2:13 screws securing the side panels we have as I mentioned before ample ventilation
2:18 so here in the front we have a spot for our 120 mm cooling fan we also have
2:22 three 5 and 1/4 in base your antech logo your just nice Sleek lines USB 3 bam on
2:29 a value case like this that is a great thing to see reset switch power switch
2:34 headphones and microphone ports okay we've got a 120 mm cooling
2:40 fan included in the top as well as a
2:43 spot for what appears to be A40 mm fan on the side give me a sec
2:48 that might be 120 sorry guys it was just the styling of the honeycomb mesh that
2:53 confused me a little bit that is for a 120 mm fan so almost all of the fans in
2:58 this case are 12 you can see it uses uh
3:01 this sort of punched out style of design it still looks fairly Sleek you can see
3:06 from the front it's very Arrow Dynamic but from the back it's more wide and the
3:10 reason for that is it gives you space for this fan here without interfering
3:15 with your graphics card and gives you space for taller CPU coolers so there's
3:18 a very practical reason why they've done that all right oh yeah sorry I never
3:23 finished on the back so on the back we find an included IO Shield I haven't
3:28 seen one of those in a while very
3:31 nice and I see it's not any more up to date than they used to be there's your
3:35 spot for your parallel port which is evidently labeled Venus for some reason
3:40 sure whatever man okay and then we've got a 120 or 92 or 80 mil fan in the
3:46 back water cooling grommets which you're not very likely to use because you're
3:49 probably going to get one of those integrated liquid cooling things like
3:53 the 620 or the 920 then you've got seven PCI slots a bottom mounted power supply
3:58 very nice to see anch is still not neglecting awesome features like bottom
4:03 mounted power supplies even on a value case and we move to the inside so here
4:08 is the one spot in the case where you can put a 140 mm fan as a bottom intake
4:12 using the feed on the bottom you can see it's lifted up a fair amount off the off
4:16 the floor or table wherever you put it there's also a fan filter that is
4:20 removable here for your power supply intake fan so you can have air coming in
4:24 here cooling your power supply and going directly out and air also coming in here
4:27 to cool your graphics card or whatever ever else happens to be in this General
4:32 vicinity this is an invaluable include
4:36 you know I've always liked the word invaluable well hated it really because
4:40 the word invaluable implies that it has no value but you say invaluable to mean
4:45 very valuable so what's the dealo okay
4:49 so here is your USB 3 to usb2 adapter so
4:53 if you are putting together a value system that does not have a usb3 header
4:57 for those front usb3 you can just hook them up as USB 2 with the included
5:01 adapter thank you antech that is a very
5:05 fantastic inclusion also got a piece of paper thank you for that as well and
5:10 then we have a large CPU cutout so
5:13 that's so you can install pretty much any cooler you want without actually
5:17 removing the motherboard from the case there's your 120 mil fan plugs in with a
5:21 three pin header look at all these black cables anex is getting stylish look at
5:25 that also black cables for that guy so the only cooling that is included with
5:30 the cases the top and the back but you can still install as I mentioned before
5:34 here here and on the side panel in order
5:37 to get additional cooling now uh how does this work
5:43 fascinating you know what I'll be back in a moment now as a test of how easy
5:47 their toolless Drive configuration is to set up there's the back panel by the way
5:51 also got that bulge thing going on for
5:54 additional room for cable management in this case just going to lay that down as
5:59 a test of how easy their tooless configuration is I am going to figure it
6:04 out on camera the only thing I was doing off camera there was fetching myself
6:07 some drives to install so here we go
6:12 okay hey look at that they're including drive rails with like a $60 case that's
6:18 fantastic all right now we're going to put these here
6:25 presumably okay and then we're going to put these
6:31 here presumably
6:36 bam let's do one more just to show how quickly we can do it now that we are
6:40 seasoned veterans at installing this particular toolless drive system and
6:49 whoops bam love it so from the front
6:53 looks like this got like you know some cool honeycom ventilation looking thing
6:59 going on from the back you can see it's riveted in okay should be quite strong
7:03 that's been a problem with some cheaper cases in shipping with hard drives this
7:07 one you shouldn't have that issue although I'd feel a little bit better if
7:11 you could screw them in but I guess they're not really going anywhere once you have a side panel closed on this
7:15 side this is interesting so this is like a big like rubber thing going on so I
7:21 guess that oh fascinating so they've put this in in order to keep the motherboard
7:25 tray cuz you see they cut out so much of it for that enlarged CPU Cooler they
7:29 wanted to reinforce it in some way so once you put a motherboard on here it's
7:32 not going this way but in order to keep it from flexing they've got this RI
7:37 riging it up I know rigid isn't a word but making it more rigid uh during
7:41 shipping or whatever else oh that's cool all we've got lots of cable
7:45 management tie down places here you can run your eight pin up here you run your
7:49 24 pin through the nice big one here that can also go to your Optical drives
7:53 which are tooless more cable management Hooks and you can accept up to 1 2 3 4 5
8:00 3 and 1/2 in drives and there's an SSD mounting spot down here at the bottom so
8:05 you just screw those up from the bottom there and install your SSD I think that
8:09 pretty much oh no they included uh internal connectors sorry guys that was
8:14 close and
8:19 Voom wait this parrot wouldn't Voom if you put 4 million volts through it uh HD
8:25 audio USB 3 which as you may recall can
8:28 be converted power LED hard drive LED power switch and reset switch there are
8:32 all your included cables you should probably route them
8:37 through here and then take them to
8:43 wherever they need to go which is probably
8:50 here coil those up nice and tight get them all running through the cable
8:54 management Loops at the back and it should look little something like that
8:58 but better so thank you for checking out my unboxing of the ante 1 don't forget to
9:03 subscribe to lus Tech tips for more unboxings reviews and there's the tool
9:07 list 5 and a/ qu in mechanism and other
9:10 computer videos sorry guys I realized I never showed you how to install the 120
9:14 mil fan in the front so it comes with included screws see those two longer
9:19 ones so there's two bumps two screws bam
9:23 120 mm fan goes there and that's what it looks like from the inside it's easy to
9:29 get off you just try not to drop the
9:32 case while
9:35 you do that and then if you want to take it off you just pull on it like that no
9:40 problem
