0:05 great technology selection and service along with Corsair memory and Western
0:09 Digital hey guys we're at the AMD event still and we're checking out Microsoft's
0:13 Project Spark so in as fast as you can what is spark uh it is an open world
0:19 digital canvas that allows anyone to
0:22 create play or share whatever they can
0:26 imagine so it's it's I've heard reference to Little Big Planet although
0:30 before you go on a rant about that uh I can totally see how it's very different
0:34 it's a lot more in-depth what can you tell me about that well the breath of
0:38 what we offer I think is um is is really
0:41 our selling point uh and the logic we have this entire visual coding language
0:47 that allows uh anyone you don't need to
0:50 be an engineer to allow scripting you don't need to be an artist to create
0:53 these big worlds we're really breaking down those
0:56 disciplines um that are barriers to people and uh that's really a um a big
1:02 thing for us one of the coolest things I saw was we had a human and we had a rock
1:06 and everything in this game can potentially have a brain uh which we've
1:10 we've looked at before and the human had a fairly straightforward brain he'd
1:13 follow the camera he do some other stuff now the rock we gave it a bird's brain
1:18 so it started flying around randomly I like that you can do stuff like that cuz
1:21 you can be super creative what kind of just shoot a couple examples of the
1:25 games you could potentially make in this oh I mean we've uh We've shown a couple
1:28 already someone made a recreation of Geometry Wars which is a like this
1:32 Vector based game blew our minds um somebody even made a a movie a 20-minute
1:36 movie uh like we didn't even think it's like you know you think of a game creator they didn't even decide to allow
1:41 interaction it's just we're we're telling you the story and that's what it is um and uh some of the other stuff
1:46 that we've uh seen people make are just um these uh it's how things interact
1:51 with it one guy made a car using just logs with rope and these cubes and he
1:56 put them in a certain way and it's just it's amazing that's really cool now if
2:00 you were to go on Project Spark and make one of these games and try and
2:03 distribute it how does that work in like rating systems and stuff like that uh
2:06 well it's super easy to share it so as soon as you're ready to um show off what
2:11 you've created you save it you share it and anybody with a Windows 8.1 Xbox 360
2:15 or Xbox one will be able to download it and play it and uh the community they'll
2:20 get it and they'll be able to rate it up thumbs up thumbs down or whatever they feel and the community just raced up and
2:25 you'll be able to see how many downloads versus how many likes cool that's really
2:29 fun for project creators because I I know when I was a little kid I used to
2:32 play an RPG Maker and like that was fun but I didn't really get to share it with
2:35 anyone except for my mom which was cool and she always loved it but she's my mom
2:39 so I don't know um it's it's really interesting and we can see in the
2:42 background here this guy's made an island kind of thing with a moat and a
2:46 cave on it and some dude in there and he's only been working on this for a very short period of time now how could
2:51 someone start playing this game well uh the game is available right now on
2:55 Windows 8.1 if you go to join project
2:58 spark.com you'll be able to sign up for the beta right and uh download it
3:03 Through the Windows store perfect now you said it was coming to Xbox One and
3:06 3602 so that would just be on the marketplace so uh like I said yeah
3:10 Windows 8 beta is out now Xbox one will be coming out within the month or two
3:15 and uh we haven't announced uh dates for the other sounds good sounds good no
3:18 problem we won't we won't hark on them too much for that thank you for watching our content on Microsoft spark thank you
