0:07 so guys today I'm going to be doing a quick unboxing of the antec cooler H2O
0:12 620 so this is the little brother to the cooler H2O 920 now the key difference
0:19 between this one and the 920 they're both fairly similar in terms of the
0:23 design is the thickness of the radiator
0:27 so while the 620 uses a thinner style radi rator that offers the advantage of
0:32 better compatibility with cases on the market the 920 is going to offer better
0:38 performance due to the larger surface area so you can see on the front of the
0:41 box here we have a picture of the product itself so here's the radiator
0:46 and fan as well as the flexible tubing this is a huge feature that the cooler
0:50 Series has over other pre-done liquid cooling systems on the market because it
0:55 gives you a lot more flexibility in terms of how you can route your tubing
0:58 there's the integrated CPU pump and water block and let's see what they have
1:02 to say for themselves on the box so quick install zero maintenance that I'll
1:06 believe here we've got quick install zero maintenance okay same thing on the
1:11 back we've got low profile pump ensures exceptional liquid circulation while
1:16 preserving internal air flow this is true it does give you more clearance
1:19 around the CPU socket area for uh the
1:23 mosfet coolers to receive air flow okay
1:26 we've got intelligent noise speed control fan for quiet and efficient
1:30 cooling so that's a pwm fan included we've also got non-corrugated easy Bend
1:34 tubing which I talked about before in latest generation copper cold plate and
1:38 by Cold plate they're saying the same thing as what I mean when I say water
1:42 block um so water block is more of a DIY term I
1:48 guess and uh let's just see if there's anything I'm missing here on the box uh
1:54 yeah here we go so they're saying that
1:57 the cooler H 20620 has slightly performance than the first generation of
2:02 pre-done liquid cooling systems on the market and obviously it Just Smokes the
2:06 stock Intel cooler all right so let's see what we've
2:10 got inside the box here first thing we find is the mounting hardware and what
2:14 anc's done creatively here see this is
2:17 they have colorcoded the mounting hardware so that if you're using AMD all
2:22 you do is put in the green the green tabs into your mounting system if you're
2:26 using Intel you put the blue tabs in and that way you can accidentally mix them
2:30 up because with some of the other products that were based on a similar
2:34 design the OEM is acch which is quite obvious it says acch right on the
2:38 radiator um they were all black and it
2:41 could have been quite confusing all right it comes with an installation
2:46 guide so you can see here it shows you all the stuff that's included with the
2:49 620 shows you how to mount the radiator and fan to your case as well as the CPU
2:54 block SL pump unit to your
2:58 motherboard next we have the fan it's a
3:01 very beefy fan doesn't have much Flex to it well built overall it's got a seven
3:05 blade design okay there's a little markings on it to show you which way the
3:09 air moves oh it's not pwm this one is not
3:13 pwm this is a three pin fan connector
3:18 okay and then finally we have the cooler 620 itself
3:23 I'm going to take off the little plastic baggie that covers the CPU block and
3:27 we're going to have a look at that first so
3:30 here we are you can see it has pre-applied thermal compound this is an
3:34 extremely high quality thermal compound there will be no need to replace that
3:38 unless for whatever reason you've installed it once and then you discover
3:42 that you need to take it off well then you'll have to clean off your CPU clean
3:45 off the bottom of the cooler 620 reapply
3:48 thermal compound and put it back on okay you can see right here we've
3:53 got rotary fittings so that allows you
3:56 the flexibility to have the fittings or the tubing approach the block from any
4:00 angle without risking kinking it just going to zoom in a little bit here so I
4:04 don't have to reach so far forward there we go so now you can see that a little
4:07 bit better there you go okay we've got two cables coming out of the pump one of
4:12 them is for power to the pump right there so that's a three pin standard
4:16 three pin power and then the other one is for power to the fan so this is
4:19 actually an output this allows the cooler software to to intelligently
4:25 control the pump and the fan according to liquid temperatures
4:31 I believe at least the 920 does anyway
4:36 hold on a second oh bummer okay it looks like I
4:39 was wrong the 620 doesn't include the software so I would definitely recommend
4:43 ponying up a little bit more for the 920
4:47 but the advantages that the 620 still has are the extremely flexible tubing so
4:52 I want you guys to check this out no matter what you do to this stuff pretty
4:55 much I want you to look at that whole knot that I've tied in the tubing no
4:59 kinking whatsoever that ensures that you're going to get good flow of the
5:04 liquid no matter how you have to Route this to get to your CPU okay so this is
5:09 just straight power for the pump and fan and then an extension to the fan so that
5:14 you have power to both of those things all
5:19 right little antech logo on the top okay
5:24 finally we have the radiator so as I said before the radiator actually has
5:29 the Tech branding right on it so it's not like uh it's not like it's any
5:33 secret who makes this thing there you go hopefully you can read that now it is a
5:37 thin profile radiator so not the thicker style that is used in the 920 so
5:42 performance is going to be about on par with a pretty good aftermarket air
5:46 cooler so why would you go with something like this and the answer is
5:50 fairly simple for me the reason I would choose one of these pre-done liquid I
5:54 mean for my own personal system I have a custom liquid cooling setup but if I was
5:58 going to build a more basic system system I would go with one of these over
6:01 a high-end air cooler in certain scenarios if I'm going to be moving the
6:04 system around and if I'm worried about having all of that weight from a cooler
6:08 hanging off of the CPU socket then I would definitely consider one of these
6:12 because you're taking the heaviest part this is the radiator full of liquid and
6:16 you are bolting it to your case instead of to your motherboard all you're
6:20 bolting to your motherboard is a little pump unit so there's not a ter terrific
6:25 amount of weight on the motherboard itself whereas with a lot of tower air
6:29 coolers you're putting a huge amount of weight on the motherboard and that is a
6:34 bit of a stresser on it so that is pretty much it for the cooler 620 thank
6:39 you for checking out my unboxing don't forget to subscribe to is this thing
6:42 really not going to work for me there we go line is tched from more unboxings
