0:00 so guys today I'm going to be unboxing something kind of neat this is the
0:04 mushkin ridgeback heat spreader so the
0:07 particular kit that I have today is a Redline DDR3 2x4 gig kit and what this
0:14 kit has that's uh pretty special about it first of all it has the honor and
0:20 privilege of being featured on my tech tips test bench I will be replacing my
0:26 uh my Kingston hyperx H2O module
0:31 which I've been using for quite some time uh those are a DDR3 2000 kit uh 2x2
0:37 gig so these are a 2x4 gig kit so they'll be replacing my hyperx H2O kit
0:43 and while they are clocked lower so these are DDR3 1600 mahz modules PC3
0:51 1280 what's cool about these guys is that they have very tight
0:57 latencies especially for an8 gig kit so
1:00 this is a C7 kit 79824 to be precise
1:05 while still maintaining the 1.65 volt ceiling necessary on the latest Intel
1:11 Core i7 Core i5 and core I3 platforms so
1:14 I'll be using this with my p67a gd65
1:18 motherboard as well as my core i7 2600k
1:21 at 4.7 GHz to bring you guys all of the
1:26 latest benchmark scores from whatever I
1:29 happened to be be reviewing on my test platform whether it's an SSD or a video
1:33 card or whatever else so thank you for checking out my unboxing oh actually no
1:37 you want to you want to see this from every angle cuz these are like these
1:40 look sweet they got like the ridge back going
1:44 on them they're actually really sharp looking modules I love the paint finish
1:47 on them too because so many uh so many heat spreaders on RAM as soon as you
1:52 touch them like this to install them you're going to leave big fat indelible
1:56 fingerprints on them but these use like a nice um
2:00 like a slightly textured finish on what appears to be like uh like powdercoated
2:07 paint like it's just it's a really nice finish and there's no way you could
2:10 possibly damage it when you're installing your modules so thank you for checking out my unboxing don't forget to
