0:00 the truly remarkable thing about the h220x all-on-one liquid cooler from
0:04 swifttech is the value I mean okay yes it's one of the most expensive
0:09 all-in-one water coolers on the market but the stuff that you get for your
0:13 money is
0:20 phenomenal the Jazz mini phone and tablet stand from Cooler Master is now
0:24 available in a variety of cool colors from these great retailers click now to
0:28 learn more so let's things off with a physical tour and while we're going
0:32 through this I'm going to have a running total of what it would cost us to build
0:36 something comparable as like a a DIY
0:40 liquid cooling kit that you piece together with aftermarket parts so the
0:44 included CPU block is the Apple gxl which features Flagship class
0:48 performance swappable color plates to match your system and Swift Tech's
0:52 fantastic highquality mounting hardware connecting it to the rest of the unit is
0:56 a pair of metal swivel fittings and some black kink consistent 38 in tubing
1:01 that's secured to the fittings with some really nice metal hose clamps onto the
1:05 rest of the unit we find a significant departure from the traditional AO
1:10 approach instead of putting the pump on top of the block swifttech has
1:14 integrated their new mcp30 pump and a basic windowed acrylic Reservoir
1:19 directly onto the copper and brass dual 120 mm radiator that will mount in the
1:24 top of your case on the radiator we discover two of Swift's Helix pwm fans
1:29 that are pre-installed a nice touch in a push orientation that will require no
1:33 adjustment if you want to draw air into the top of your chassis but can be
1:37 reversed in a couple of minutes if you prefer to use internal case air to cool
1:41 your water loop and exhaust it in terms of accessory swifttech includes thermal
1:45 compound all the mounting hardware that you need for LGA 1155 1150 1156 all that
1:50 good stuff extra hardware for Intel LGA 2011 and AMD sockets and finally and
1:55 this is a really great inclusion an a port pwm fan splitter that uses SATA for
2:01 power and the CPU header on the motherboard to control speed so your
2:06 whole system the pump is also pwm compliant by the way can have
2:11 performance and noise levels adjusted dynamically according to CPU temps
2:15 depending on how you set up the fan profile on your motherboard very very
2:19 cool and very intuitive all right so
2:23 some of these things were probably a little bit Overkill and actually aren't
2:27 needed with competing allinone liquid cooler design because of how tightly
2:30 integrated they are but the point here is not the base functionality but rather
2:35 the fact that you're getting expandability and truly Enthusiast class
2:40 water cooling gear in an aiio I mean most all-in-one water coolers are sealed
2:44 because they need to be sealed the pumps wouldn't work with more components in
2:48 the loop or a larger radiator or the tubing is permanently attached to
2:52 plastic barbs to save the cost of the fittings and clamps not the case here
2:56 you can install it out of the box more easily than most air coolers let alone
3:00 other all-in ones since the that LGA 1150 hold down in back plate as well as
3:05 the radiator fans are all pre-installed just screw the fans into the top of your
3:09 case with the fan screws apply thermal compound and screw the block onto the
3:13 back plate or you can tear it apart and
3:16 go to town adding more blocks radiators and what have you because the components
3:21 particularly the pump have performance to spare but of course all of this is a
3:27 complete moot point if it doesn't perform the way Swift teack promises so
3:31 we're going to throw it in our test system and let you guys know how it does
3:35 out of the box first off I want to talk about their awesome little included fan
3:39 controller it has to be plugged into the CPU header and it will only read the RPM
3:43 of the first fan plugged in that's the fan that's plugged into the uh the Red
3:47 Cap slot on the pwm fan controller it will read the RPM of that fan and then
3:53 distribute power to each different header depending on how that fan is
3:57 being read so if you want it giving that fan 100% power all the fans on the
4:01 controller will get 100% power in terms of Acoustics it's actually better than I
4:05 thought I was pretty worried about the pump being mounted on the radiator as I
4:09 thought you would hear a lot of vibration from that but especially with
4:12 the Noctua fans installed with their little sound dampening brown rubber
4:16 grommets on them there wasn't really that big of a deal and even with the
4:20 swifttech fans installed as long as you install it tightly you won't really
4:24 notice the pump is much better than I believe it was on the original h220 and
4:29 it doesn't make as much of an impact in terms of noise in terms of aesthetic I
4:33 think it looks nice but due to the looks nice and extra features you may have
4:37 problems mounting it in certain situations I wouldn't worry too much
4:41 about stuff like motherboard compatibility because the hang-off on
4:45 the radiator is going to be far away from your motherboard but I would worry
4:49 about mounting it pretty much anywhere other than the very top of your case
4:52 this probably won't be that big of a deal for you because you're probably going to mount it in the top of your
4:56 case anyways so this probably doesn't matter
5:00 but if you're going to do something like lonus did in the 4K ultimate build guide
5:03 and mount it in say the front it could be a problem as you're probably not
5:07 going to be able to mount it there in most cases the tubing will also come to
5:10 play with compatibility again this isn't nearly as long as the tubing on the
5:15 original 220 but I kind of like that the original 220 had some pretty ridiculous
5:19 tubing length and this again probably will cause issues if you try to mount it
5:24 anywhere other than the top of the case but as I see most of you are probably
5:27 going to be installing it in the top of the case it's probably not a huge deal
5:31 and I do really like the thickness and flexibility of the tubing at the same
5:35 time in terms of performance we're running our standard test bench a 4820k
5:39 with 1.3 volts applied running at 4.0 GHz and a 6870 reference card which will
5:44 both be running Prime 95 and combuster respectively also I swapped out the
5:48 standard fans for Noctua uh NF f12's as
5:53 we normally do and it performed great I was a little bit worried due to the pump
5:58 and the the like flow and stuff conflicting with air flow on the
6:01 radiator but it didn't seem to affect it that much as the only cooler that beat
6:05 it was a 2x1 40mm cooler which should
6:09 have if this beat a 2x1 40 mm cooler I
6:12 probably would have redone my testing a few more times so I happy to see it did
6:15 really well and happy to see it is the successor of the original 220 it's good
6:19 to see all these high performance parts in one big package all right guys thanks
6:23 for watching let me know what you think about this uh hey can you do me a favor
6:27 I'm out of razors can you run to the store and grab me some no not in my job
6:31 description okay um well this is a
6:34 little awkward when I get back can you help me shave the spots I can't
6:38 reach definitely not in my job description at all oh okay well then I
6:43 guess you're fired uh I'll finish up the conclusion here see you that's bull but
