0:00 welcome to the Corsair booth at CES 2016
0:03 we have got a couple of case products to show you guys starting with the carbide
0:07 clear 400 C and the C is for
0:12 Corsair no it's not it's for Clear huge thanks to Squarespace for sending Linus
0:16 Media Group to CES 2016 check out the link in the video description to learn
0:21 more about Squarespace so what they've done here is
0:25 they've basically taken the concept of an optical drive list computer case
0:30 which is not the first time we've seen it but they've gone and they've tried to find what they think is a better balance
0:35 in terms of features and size than what's already on the market so the 400c
0:40 allows a full ATX motherboard it's got there what I personally think is just
0:44 stunning we first saw it on the 760 uh T
0:47 their their full glass door with the removable hinge style thing on the side
0:51 here and then they've allowed you to effectively Jam an incredible amount of
0:55 Hardware in here so the power supply is covered by a nice by the way removal
1:00 shroud and then there's another shroud piece here that can also be removed if
1:05 you want to cover up your cable management so you can see the way that they've got it done here makes it look
1:09 really clean or you can take it out if you want to be able to pop in a triple
1:14 120 mm Radiator in the front to go along
1:17 with that you can put another dual 120 mm Radiator in the top for a total of
1:22 five 120 mm RADS in what is a mid tower
1:25 case in fact if you're going custom liquid cooling it's possible
1:31 no I think we'd have interference on the back but still very very impressive on
1:35 the top you've got their awesome magnetic removable fan filter system
1:40 going on here and in terms of airflow there's basically no restriction because
1:45 while the front panel is the sort of Corsair signature I mean we're talking
1:49 since the 800d flat black box the sides
1:53 themselves are completely full of air vents that are almost an inch off the
1:57 front of the case so you're going to have ample air flow in any situation now
2:02 there's actually two versions of this case there's the C with the c for coair
2:07 and then there's actually the 400 Q the
2:10 carbide quiet 400 Q where the Q is for
2:14 quar a so uh really different from the other one and the only differences here
2:19 are that the top is now also removable but not a fan filter because it's
2:23 supposed to be quiet! you're not supposed to fill it with fans but you can because you can take the top off and on the
2:27 other side of this you got magnets so you can go ahead and mount that puppy on there as well as noise deadening
2:32 material now this is unusual but the Q and the C both actually cost exactly the
2:38 same and normally you charge extra for the window the reason for that is that
2:42 the que has noise deadening highdensity rubber material on all of the internal
2:47 panels and that costs money just the same as an acrylic or Plexi window does
2:53 so you can see in this one they haven't gone quite as balls to the wall in terms of all the liquid cooling radiators and
2:58 all that stuff a more modest conf configuration but that's what you'd expect the one cool thing about this is
3:02 it gives you a bit of a better look at that cable management hole with this
3:06 bottom shroud here I don't think I can remove
3:09 this but uh oh hold on oh no there's a
3:15 there's no there's a screw in the back so we won't pull too hard on it which
3:19 leads us then I guess to the last Corsair case that we're showcasing and
3:24 this is the carbide series spec Alpha
3:28 personally not a fan I think the the
3:31 word that they've asked me to use is polarizing when I think what I said was
3:35 repugnant or something like that it's got this angular front that kind of you
3:39 know Towers over you menacingly except that it's except that it's kind of small
3:42 but it does have some positive things going for it um the aesthetic can be
3:47 customized the colors can actually be changed very easily we've got two
3:50 versions of it over here so there's like a red and white there's a black and gray
3:54 there's also going to be a black and yellow and then any number of other colors if a system integrator or whoever
3:59 else wants it it's got built-in fan control and it's got you know the usual
4:02 things you'd expect from Corsair so the mesh front uh for good air flow the side
4:07 window for you know nice tall CPU coolers if you're into that sort of
4:10 thing or you know liquid cooling compatibility if you're into that sort of thing let me know in the comments am
4:15 I totally wrong is this the New Black I
4:18 do genuinely want to hear from you guys I mean surely someone likes it
4:22 apparently this is a big hit from the Latin American and the Chinese resellers
4:26 they're like super stoked on this so I want to hear from you guys so thanks for
4:30 checking out our first video here from the Corsair Suite on the 400c 400 Q
4:34 remember the C and Q are both for Corsair as well as the spec Alpha I
4:39 believe this thing goes by thanks for uh checking us out and a huge thanks to
