0:00 this top five video from CES 2016 is brought to you by massdrop our first top
0:05 five drone of CES is the eang 184
0:08 autonomous aerial vehicle I mean holy
0:12 crap the thing can actually fit a passenger inside it flies way higher
0:17 than your average consumer drone but much lower than a jetliner at about
0:21 11,000 ft and can go 60 MPH for about 23
0:26 minutes you don't need any previous flying experience you just tell it to
0:31 take off or land through a mobile app and a computer takes care of the rest
0:35 like a commercial airplane it has redundancies built in such as multiple
0:39 power Delivery Systems and an Autoland feature if something goes wrong and
0:43 encryption is built into the flight system to keep attackers from sabotaging
0:47 your flight path it's connected to an e- hang Command Center that monitors every
0:51 184 drone in Flight kind of like air traffic control and right now the
0:55 biggest hurdle is approval from authorities like the FAA but ehang said
1:00 it's uh working with government agencies to get this thing off the ground so to
1:05 speak it'll cost probably somewhere between $2 200 and
1:08 $300,000 so you can choose between this thing a house or going to medical school
1:13 the parrot disco is not a quadcopter
1:17 it's got a Sleek aesthetic and looks like an airplane with wings it's powered
1:22 by a propeller and this combined with the wings uses less energy than trying
1:26 to power up a bunch of spinning blades it adds up up to 45 minutes of total
1:32 flight time and it is pretty darn fast capable of 50 mph flight it features
1:37 automatic takeoff you just throw it and it starts flying meaning that there's no
1:41 real learning curve and piloting is just a matter of telling it where you want it
1:46 to go or turn to adjustments to make the
1:49 thing stay airborne are handled automatically and it's expected to be
1:52 available later this year our third drone continues our trend of getting
1:56 smaller and smaller with the PowerUp FP
2:00 V this is another winged design drone except that it's essentially a paper
2:05 airplane that you can fly and we actually have covered powerups previous
2:09 product before for more than 5 seconds
2:12 and see where it's going it only weighs 2 ounces and is made from thick paper
2:17 and powered by a pair of propellers you do have to fold it yourself which is
2:21 either a pain or fun for the DIY included folks and it comes with a
2:25 head-mounted display thing to turn piloting into a VR experience
2:30 simply by sliding in your smartphone it's got an autopilot feature to keep
2:34 the plane in the air and can go up to 20 mph with 10 hours of battery life
2:39 PowerUp is offering a racing package that comes with six drones and
2:42 head-mounted displays for a th000 bucks or you can get just one for $180 it's
2:48 expected to be available in June the unique typhoon H was featured by Intel
2:53 at CES why because it has an Intel real sense camera so Intel has been pushing
2:58 real sense pretty heavily in laptops and other devices now it's in a drone the
3:03 real sense cameras are completely separate from the main camera which
3:06 shoots 4K video by the way and allows the typhoon to avoid objects and
3:11 obstacles automatically without any input from the user unique and Intel are
3:16 touting this as being more accurate than other forms of collision detection that
3:20 we've already seen in drones the only issue is that at
3:25 $77.99 at for the base model it's not exactly cheap and the version with real
3:30 sense collision avoidance will cost more
3:33 finally we've got the fly one of the strangest looking drones at the show as
3:37 it looks like a floating white sphere or ball why well the moving parts are all
3:43 enclosed in a plastic ball for safety for indoor use being the main focus it's
3:49 very light as well only one pound though it does look heavier making it good for
3:53 kids or someone who just doesn't want to worry too much about damaging their
3:57 stuff in the event of a collision it only features 10 minutes of flight time
4:01 but it's surprisingly Nimble given the shape as long as you're willing to pay
4:06 $1,200 for it this drone video was
4:09 brought to you by mast drop if you don't know what Mast drop is basically it's a
4:13 great place to get all kinds of cool stuff including drones yeah that's right
4:17 drones the thing this video was about for a discount off their regular retail
4:22 prices all you have to do is head over to draws Linus C- DJI don't worry we
4:28 have that Linked In the video description and you can check out not only cool
4:32 deals on Mast drop simply by signing up but you can also enter a giveaway right
4:37 now for the DJI Phantom 3 standard all
4:40 you have to do to enter the giveaway is sign up for Mass drop and request the
4:44 DJI Phantom 3 on the drop Page by clicking the request button that's how
4:49 this thing works you basically can request things to have a drop and if lots of people request it then they'll
4:54 get it and then if lots of people commit to buy it the price goes lower that's
4:57 the whole Mass drop thing so anyway that will enter you in the giveaway and also
