Razer Sabertooth controller works on Xbox 360 and PC OLED screen 10ft
0:04
detachable cable four hyper responsive buttons and six additional
0:08
multi-function
0:15
buttons the Jazz mini phone and tablet stand from Cooler Master is now
0:19
available in a variety of cool colors from these great retailers click now to
0:23
learn more all right you guys know me I
0:26
didn't really bother try this out on an Xbox 360 but I'm sure it works just fine
0:31
I did try it on a PC however and all it really needed once I plugged it in was
0:35
for Windows to autod detect the driver install and it was ready to go yes that
0:39
does mean that this controller doesn't use Razer synapse 2.0 software
0:43
personally I like that because I'm not a huge fan of background processes of
0:46
pretty much any sort and keeping my processes down is a constant battle for
0:50
me but this does mean that you're maxed out to the two profiles that fit on the
0:55
controller that being said personally I don't see myself using more than those
0:58
two profiles so it's probably fine speaking of profiles the OLED screen is
1:03
responsive and easy to use especially if you're just trying to change something simple like a profile which can be done
1:08
with the button on the left of the little screen changing anything from
1:11
either profile is handled by the button on the right with some help from the
1:15
d-pads up and down buttons for changing menu rotation and a and b for different
1:19
selections in the customization menu you can do anything from turning Rumble and
1:24
or the backlight on or off to advance things like testing mode which can be
1:28
used to test the Precision of your analog sticks and prove to your friends
1:32
that it isn't actually the controller's fault and they just need to get on your level and last but not least is program
1:37
mode in program mode all you need to do is hold down the multi-function button
1:41
that you want to bind and tap the button you want to bind it to for instance if
1:45
you wanted to bind multifunction button six to a key I would hold that button
1:50
down and then press the button you want to bind it to once you've done that exit
1:53
the little menu on the OLED screen to get back to the razor screen and you're
1:57
good to go next up is the detachable cable which is nice braided and comes
2:00
with a screw on connector which as long as you remember to line it up properly
2:04
is quite easy to plug in correctly this is really nice to see on a premium level
2:08
controller some people may not care about the detachable cable if they don't
2:12
plan to travel with their controller but I travel with my Xbox 360 controllers
2:16
quite a bit cuz they make playing games in cramped and awkward spaces like say
2:20
an airplane seat a lot easier I will definitely appreciate the detachable
2:24
cable as I believe one of my controllers has likely died from cable torquing in
2:28
my bag this one time when I was going over to the ferry to the island didn't
2:32
work on the other end so yeah that sucked next up we have all the input
2:36
buttons uh the thumb sticks seem fairly standard and they're finished quite
2:39
nicely and in the packaging they have some razor green colored tops for the
2:44
thumbsticks which can change the feel and protect your thumb sticks from wear
2:47
personally I'll be leaving them off of mine because I feel like my thumbs kind
2:51
of slip off of them while they're on and I'm not too worried about the durability
2:54
as they're actually quite nice thumbsticks the d-pad is pretty nice and
2:58
an improvement over the Anza in my opinion but I wouldn't really want to
3:01
play a platformer on it personally that being said the separated buttons would
3:05
be really nice for QuickTime events as I doubt there would be as many wrong
3:09
inputs which can be very frustrating most games that I play on this
3:13
controller wouldn't be Platformers anyways or I could just use the analog
3:17
stick in that platformer like I did in Shovel Knight fantastic game by the way
3:21
the hyper responsive buttons are actually hyper responsive the audio and
3:25
tactile feedback is fantastic when and when paired up with a short travel
3:28
length it feels great when spamming kind of reminds me of typing on a cherry blue
3:31
switch keyboard minus the obvious travel length differences and then we come to
3:35
the multi-function buttons the M1 and M2 shoulder buttons are just enough out of
3:39
the way that they don't feel like I would accidentally press them and just
3:42
enough in the way that I could press them easily if I actually needed to and
3:47
the story doesn't differ much for the M3 through six buttons on the back these
3:51
I'll admit I was pretty worried about with my fairly large hands I expected
3:55
them to be crazy annoying but they happen to sit in just the right position
3:59
that they don't really bother me and if I did razor includes a screwdriver to
4:03
remove them and rubber plugs to fill the holes once you do nice just three more
4:08
things guys one it's not wireless two it
4:11
has a 2.5 mm microphone Jack on the bottom if you're into that sort of thing
4:16
and last but not least three if you're running X patter and you're kind of a
4:19
guru and you plan on running custom controls on every button you're slightly
4:24
out of luck due to the controller handling the rebinding of the multi-function Keys you can only bind
4:29
said keys keys to other keys on the controller so say if you bind a to
4:34
spacebar you could bind M4 to a which
4:38
would then be spacebar but you couldn't bind M4 to spacebar directly it has to
4:42
go through the bind of another button on the controller it can't be independent
4:47
all right guys I'm still not necessarily done my search because it's a pretty big
4:50
decision for me if this lasts as long as my Xbox 360 controller did I'll be using
4:55
this for a long time I got my Xbox 360 controller on launch what like eight or
4:59
9 years ago what do you guys think I'd love to get your input down below or on
