0:01 So today we're going to be unboxing the half 922 this is a buy request unboxing
0:07 I actually had someone send a uh a message to NC eser on Facebook or
0:13 however they sent the message I don't know but they asked her to ask me to
0:18 unbox this particular case and have a quick look at it so the 922 is kind of
0:24 like a little brother to the half 932
0:27 now the whole concept behind these half cases is not that they aren't a full
0:33 case and that they're half a case that
0:36 is not the case rather half HF stands
0:40 for high air flow so these cases are all
0:44 about gaming and they're all about cooling so let's have a quick look at
0:48 the overall features extreme air flow okay that was pretty much what I just
0:53 said Thank You case for backing me up here okay accommodates demanding
0:56 high-end components including F length graphics cards very important for
1:01 something like the 5970 which is ati's latest card which is like 12 inches long
1:06 just ridiculous okay so then 7 plus1 PCI
1:10 expansion slots okay cuz a lot of new vid U video cards a lot of new
1:14 motherboards have PCI Express slots at the very bottom so if you want to plug
1:18 in a dual slot graphics card you'll need an additional slot even though there
1:22 isn't an actual slot there on your motherboard okay for toolfree
1:26 installation design ready for liquid cooling radiators and Hardware so let's
1:30 have a closer look at this case now oh man is it ever staticky today I've been
1:35 Zapped by my mouse I've been Zapped by my car now I've been Zapped by this case
1:40 just ridiculous it's a good thing I'm not unboxing anything fragile to uh ESD
1:46 here okay so we'll take off the uh it's reasonably well packed you got about an
1:50 inch of foam around the case itself so I wouldn't expect you to get any damage in
1:54 shipping I mean Cooler Master does a very good job of that kind of stuff so
1:58 the half 922 comes with a user manual which includes a brief outline as well
2:03 as probably a little guide on how to do basic yeah a guide on how to do basic
2:06 stuff like open up the case so let's have a look at it from the front to
2:11 start okay so you can see we got 1 2 3 4
2:14 five 5 and 1/4 inch Bays one of them has an adapter so that you can also mount a
2:18 3 and 1/2 in floppy drive or media card reader whatever it is that you should
2:23 desire you got a couple front USB front audio and front eat this is a feature
2:27 we're starting to see a lot more these days now I don't actually unbox a lot of
2:31 cases so I don't have a like a procedure for this but on the top we will find the
2:36 power and reset as well as fan LED switches so that's kind of cool so you
2:40 can turn your fan or turn it off turn on your fan LED or turn it off there's your
2:44 power and hard drive indicator LEDs okay
2:48 let's get around to this side now personally I like to see a window on a
2:52 gaming case but if we have to make a compromise I think a loose mesh like
2:56 this is great because it allows for air flow which a window does doesn't and it
3:00 also allows you to see the cool gaming components inside so let's get
3:06 this let's see how many fans can we Mount here actually looks like you can
3:11 do wow either what is that a 160 mil fan
3:16 or yeah I don't know what you can mount here wow that's kind of cool I guess I
3:19 should kind of check the uh oh it's a 200 mm fan neat okay so inside we will
3:28 find our 5 and 1/4 in Drive Bays which include toolfree button clicky mounting
3:34 so all you have to do is Slide the drive in Click the button and it's done we
3:37 first saw this on the cosmos I believe next we have five 3 and 1/2 in internal
3:42 bays and I love this system these things look really flimsy but when you actually
3:47 put a drive into them you pop out the little uh the little nut thing here you
3:52 screw it back in you put a drive in it's really solid and when you throw it back
3:56 inside here it's just not going anywhere it's really secure so then let's have a
4:01 look inside of here accessory wise it's
4:05 going to come with probably a lot of your typical case fair so you got a
4:09 little speaker you've got a couple little brackets oh those are for
4:14 adapting probably to yeah I don't I'm not even going to guess okay so you have
4:17 screws for mounting the motherboard screws for mounting all of your drives
4:21 and that is pretty much it some zip ties they give you some zip ties for cable
4:24 management which is pretty nice to see and speaking of cable management we've
4:28 actually got a lot of of cable management features in here so your power supply mounts at the bottom but
4:33 then you can route the cables directly up the back of the motherboard tray and
4:37 you can reach around to I'm going to lean this back so you can see inside
4:41 better so you can reach around to the eight pin up here you can go from the
4:46 back and then you can come around to your 24 pin here on the motherboard you
4:50 can actually remove your CPU Cooler even if it has a back plate and replace it
4:55 without taking your motherboard out of the case which is awesome if you
4:59 actually change your CPU Cooler more often than you know once every year or
5:03 whatever okay then here we've got our seven PCI expansion ports and this one
5:09 is cool if you have like cathodes or if you have some kind of fan controller
5:13 knob that mounts on the back of the case you don't want to take up an actual
5:17 expansion slot you can mount like a switch or whatever on the back of a PCI
5:21 bracket here so that's pretty cool to see so we have an included 200 mil fan
5:26 in the b in the top as well as support for a dual 120 mm fan or radiator as
5:32 well in the top and then at the back we've got a 120 mm fan Mount as well as
5:36 liquid cooling holes should you desire to do an external radiator Mount down
5:41 here in the bottom we have what appears to be a 140 mm fan Mount and that is
5:47 also pretty cool to see you've got your usual stuff coming from the front these
5:50 cables AR they're not sleeves they're not black I mean I'd like to see
5:55 something like that because uh like the Corsair 800d case is Fant fantastic for
6:00 that kind of stuff the little aesthetic details but they're nice and long so you
6:04 can reach to wherever it is that they need to go let's have just one quick
6:09 look around at the back of the case Okay the back of the case looks like a case
6:15 awesome and then let's have a look at the other side panel as well as the
6:19 other side with the panel off I just want to have a quick look there so that
6:24 I can show you a little bit in more detail some of the cable management features so once again you can you got
6:30 enough space on this side of the motherboard tray that you can actually
6:33 route fairly thick cables without interfering with anything you've also
6:36 got a lot of room to mount cables and whatever else you need up here on the
6:40 other side of the 5 and 1/4 in base this is a front LED fan it is red and it
6:45 plugs in just like this you can see it wired up to the switch right here and
6:49 thank you for checking out my unboxing of the half 922 my phone's ringing and
6:54 I'm going to have to go now bye
