partner is Seagate technology and our trusted networking partner is
0:16
linkis the last thing at the Shar Booth is not quite as futuristic as AK in fact
0:21
this is another one of those things that could be feasibly manufactured now but
0:25
they're calling it Mo ey and basically the reason for the naming is that moth
0:30
have this coating on their eyes that reduces reflection but unlike a matte
0:35
display which is available today doesn't
0:38
totally destroy your black levels turning it into more of a gray level so
0:42
I'm going to have slick hold up the flash on my phone here and we're going
0:46
to start with their demo TV here on this side right here so diesel go ahead and
0:50
move a little bit there you go this is a glossy display so you can clearly see
0:56
the light from the flash it is reflective it's basically like a mirror
1:00
for comparison's sake sharp has also included in their demo a matte screen so
1:04
if you guys got that footage already you good so let's move over to the other
1:08
side here this is a mad screen this is available today as well so you can see
1:12
how there's not nearly as much reflectivity ever the blacks are lost
1:20
they look more like a gray more like a like it's covered in a layer of dust
1:24
quite frankly now we're going to move to the middle one which is moy here we get
1:28
deep blacks vibrant whites and compared to a glossy screen we get a reduction in
1:32
the amount of light that is reflected back from the iPhone 4 camera however
1:37
again guys it's a compromise so it's not quite to the degree that a matte screen
1:41
would have that effect don't miss any of our CES 2013 coverage don't forget to
1:46
