0:00 Linus Tech tips coverage of CES 2015 is brought to you by Phantom glass visit
0:04 store. phantom.in screen protectors out there
0:08 as well as hyperx all right guys welcome to the DX racer Booth where we're
0:12 checking out the DX racer gaming table although that's not even an official
0:15 name because this thing is definitely a prototype another thing again it's a
0:20 prototype so the fit and finish isn't final so don't look too closely at the
0:23 fit and finish because some of the photos that I've seen of their of their
0:27 like hopeful later on prototypes are actually quite a bit the general idea is
0:31 just what this gaming table is about and the major features that it will have so
0:34 it will have a slanted wrist rest area at the beginning for your typing Zone
0:39 it's an interesting experience to have a slanted down part on the desk I'm not
0:42 entirely sure if I like it or not yet but I think I'm going to have to spend more time with it I'm sure we will be
0:46 getting a sample of one of these later on so lonus or I can do a full lonus
0:49 teit video on it especially something like the experience of a desk requires a
0:53 little bit more time than just show coverage now in terms of additional
0:56 features there's four Cable Management holes there's two like cut through the
1:00 table management holes that'll drop down under the table and then there's two
1:04 along the back which you can send cables through the back of the table again this
1:09 desk doesn't currently have cable management options once you're through
1:12 the hole but it will by the time it gets to you I was talking to one of the guys they're going to have like tracks under
1:16 the table and stuff so you can manage your cables more cleanly now as you can
1:19 probably see there's also the DX racer Banner along the back of the desk now if
1:24 your desk is against a wall this will probably act as like a just Cable
1:27 Management Hider so if you have a whole bunch of messy cables it just doesn't
1:30 look like a terrible mess under your desk but if this desk is in an open area
1:34 like it is where we are right now it can kind of work as like a a skirt protector
1:38 or uh this slob guy has a hole in his jeans protector so if you're in say an
1:43 office space or an open gaming area where someone would be able to see in
1:47 your general like crotch area of your pants you don't have to worry about that
1:52 being an issues a lot of traditional wooden tables would have a drop down
1:55 here this kind of skeleton framework table wouldn't so they tried to solve
1:59 that problem now of course then being DX racer there's going to be different
2:02 color options on release I know I've seen one in red and black so far and
2:06 it's going to be height adjustable although the Mechanics for that aren't
2:10 necessarily finalized we don't know how height adjustable it will be but it will
2:14 be height adjustable and then also in terms of width there will be larger
2:17 sizes of the table as well so if you need more gaming space or less gaming
2:21 space if you're in a tight area you can get a different size table all right
2:24 guys I know we'll try to get one of these samples once it's fully released so if you want to see that video Stay
2:28 subscribed to Linus Tech tip also thank you to Phantom glass for sending us here
2:32 this year and protecting our phones while we're here and we've got a pretty
2:35 cool video from them it's still in the works but coming fairly soon also thank
2:38 you to hyperx as well they've got about 100,000 subscribers on their YouTube
2:42 channel youtube.com/ hyperx and they do a bunch of gaming content so if you're
2:46 interested in stuff like DX racer you might also be interested in them thank
2:49 you guys for watching and I'll see you next time
