So today we're going to be having a look at a product from edifier now I actually
0:05
I think the last time I unboxed an edifier product was about a year ago
0:09
when uh when I did my Christmas present for Esther who also works at NC you can
0:14
check her out on Facebook and this one is also because one of my fellow
0:19
employees here at NC is interested in buying one and wants to see it so I
0:22
figured well we're going to open it up I might as well do a YouTube about it this
0:26
is the mp250 portable speaker USB
0:30
Soundbar so here is that same information in a variety of other
0:34
languages all right so we'll flip it over to the back and I'm I'm going in
0:38
cold on this one as per my usual Arrangement so we're going to discover
0:42
it together it has integrated volume control there's your USB input as well
0:47
as an auxiliary input we have in terms of features it is powered by USB okay so
0:52
powered by USB I guess that it does not actually take an audio signal from USB
0:57
so that's what that uh that input jack there is for it's a two channel stereo
1:02
speaker with two 1.25 in drivers okay on
1:08
each Channel interesting okay elaborately designed base reflex Port 3
1:12
and2 mm auxiliary input speaker must be
1:15
connected to USB port for power includes a soft carry pouch and USB cable all
1:21
right that is in four languages and then we've got the specifications which I'll
1:24
just let the cameraman have a look at really quickly here just make sure it focuses so they can read it and pause it
1:29
if they feel like like it and if they don't
1:32
then who cares okay there we are let's
1:36
open it up and have a look at what we got so it's covered by a 2-year warranty
1:40
from edif fire oh and it has a sticker on it that we're going to have to uh
1:45
break the seal on there so now it's
1:52
open let's find out what's
1:55
inside there's the Soundbar itself we got some documentation here let's just
2:01
close that knife put that away and oh oh
2:05
cameraman wants another shot at that specification I bet if you don't get so
2:08
close and just zoom in a bit it'll actually focus a little better it's not
2:12
a great camera for focusing up close whatever it's HD I'm sure they can read
2:16
it let me see oh yeah it won't focus at all will
2:20
it okay well we give up okay so what do
2:24
we got here we have some like I said some documentation we have uh
2:30
instructions for Mac users look at that
2:33
Mac so do this if you're a Mac User all
2:36
right Soundbar USB multimedia speaker so
2:39
this is your general uh specifications hey look at that they even have a page
2:43
dedicated to unboxing outstanding that's what we're doing today and then uh
2:48
installation as well as oh illustration setting up okay cool and then we have
2:53
the Soundbar itself so let's take this out it comes packed in its little
2:58
velvety carrying case thing which you can clean some of the cardboard residue
3:03
off and then it looks quite nice and then let's do the accessories first in
3:07
terms of accessories we have one USB I'm not even going to actually yeah okay we
3:12
take this out I can get at that okay we have one USB cable
3:19
and one auxiliary cable just like that
3:23
quite simple quite simple indeed let's take it out and have a look at the
3:27
Soundbar itself so as I've come to expect from edifier it's built way
3:33
better than the price would indicate so you can see the two speakers for each
3:38
Channel as well as what appears to be the uh like well the subwoofer that
3:43
would be the base driver right there in the middle so there's actually a total
3:47
of five speakers which is pretty impressive and it's got a fair bit of
3:52
weight to it the uh the housing seems to be made out of an aluminum so you can
3:56
tell by how cold it is and also the fact that it is very obviously made of metal
4:01
here's the volume control which is oh yeah look at that so you press it
4:06
in and then you can turn oh okay you don't have to press it in you can just
4:10
turn it okay so there's your volume control on the one side and then on the
4:14
other side there's the input as well as the power all right and then it has
4:18
little rubber feet on the bottom so it's not going to slip around so if you're
4:22
carrying it around and you want to set it up with your laptop or set it up on
4:27
your desktop at work or whatever it's not going to slide around around see I
4:30
can put a fair bit of pressure on that it's not going to move and uh there's
4:33
what it'll look like set up on your desk so all you got to do is plug this guy
4:38
in and then this guy in for
4:41
power and that's pretty much all there is to
4:44
it thank you for checking out my unboxing of the edifier mp250 2.1
4:50
Soundbar don't forget to subscribe to lonus Tech tips and then you will see
4:56
more videos about things like this and other stuff well we figured out why I
5:00
wouldn't Focus cameraman accidentally pressed the manual focus button so there
5:04
are the specifications for you your viewing and reading pleasure
