0:08 today I have an unboxing for you this is
0:14 caseman if anyone actually remembers
0:17 where that reference is from in one of my previous NC Tech tips episodes then
0:22 you get three gold stars of approval or disapproval I'm not really
0:28 sure because that was ter terrible that was one of the most shameful NC Tech
0:33 tipped moments of all time the cameraman tried to talk me out of it but he did
0:36 not succeed this is my unboxing of the
0:40 level 10 GT so the first thing we're going to see on here
0:44 is driving inspiration this is the snow
0:47 Edition featuring internal USB 3.0 super
0:51 speed so internal means it uses the internal headers not those goofy around
0:55 the back reaching through the case coming up behind the back of the io
0:59 shield and plug in ones all right we have some specs here so front speed 2
1:04 USB 3 super speed Pit Stop five easy swap hard drive Bays triple Max ready
1:09 for extra long graphics cards even up to 36 CM which is quite long let me tell
1:14 you uh quad fan maximum ventilation and cooling guessing it has four fans triple
1:19 color shift adjustable fan Ambience colors neat cable clear Advanced Cable
1:23 Management SSS Smart Lock security system and cool flux liquid cooling
1:29 ready this is a a very slick looking case if the pictures are anything to go
1:32 by why don't we go ahead and get it out of the
1:36 box and then we will see if it looks as good in person as it does in photos so
1:41 the first thing we find is a very very thick packing foam so we've got about an
1:46 inch of foam around the case itself and then an additional inch of puncture
1:52 prevention space which means even if something were to you know be sharp and
1:57 like go through the box it would actually have to go this far yes I
2:02 punched the Box they would have to go this far and then through the
2:06 foam in order to reach the case and do any damage so it's quite clear to me
2:11 that thermal T takes the safety of their products during Transit very very
2:15 seriously I haven't actually unboxed many thermal take products in the past
2:19 so this will be a bit of an adventure for
2:22 me on the bottom we found another pretty
2:26 similar piece of foam and finally here we have a black shroud so this is
2:30 scratch prevention for the case also very handy to have if you're ever
2:35 transporting the case around I'd recommend holding on to that cuz then
2:38 you can throw it in there with your system in it go to your land party or
2:41 wherever you happen to be going and your case will not get scratched because if
2:45 you have a slick looking case like this odds are you want it to stay slick
2:49 looking and not look stupid because it has a big old scratch all the way across
2:53 the side of it so I have never actually seen a level 10 GT in person which means
2:59 this is going to be a slightly more challenging unboxing for me but let's go
3:04 ahead and let's start walking through the features so we'll start at the front
3:08 on the front we find a few things we find four 5 and 1/4 in Bays which are
3:13 convenient and easy to remove by the look of things yes they
3:17 are we have one 3 and 1/2 in front Bay
3:21 which is more than enough these days you throw your card reader in there or whatever the case may be we
3:27 have a lock for the front panel which is
3:30 currently locked as far as I can tell we have 1 2 3 4
3:37 five buttons oh neat
3:42 te and maybe that's what's locked that is apparently what's locked right now so
3:46 these buttons probably do something okay also on the front we have four front USB
3:52 2 we have our front audio ports we have
3:56 our hard drive indicator our reset switch and our power switch up at the
4:01 top we have settings for the fans high and low as well as the fan LED Ambiance
4:07 Ambiance colors we have super speed USB 3.0 so that is a total of six yes six
4:13 front USB ports and finally we have an eat Port which the cameraman is no
4:18 longer interested in he is interested in what appears to be a strip of LED
4:23 lighting and my guess is that the reason
4:27 there is no power LED included for this particular particular case is that that
4:31 lighting is done here and here at the front so I have found
4:37 the key it was strapped to the back I'm going to I already talked about that
4:41 he's trying to point out things I forgot he loves that you know uh so here I have
4:46 unlocked the hard drive cages so check that out so all you got to do is Mount
4:50 either a 2 and 1/2 in drive or a 3 and 1/2 in drive into this removable sled
4:56 lock that back in place or press the button and then you can see here on the
5:00 bottom is actually a little flat so that allows you to get your fingers in there
5:05 and pull it out all right so here let's take let's take those all out here I'm
5:10 just going to press those buttons unlock them there you go this shows you how
5:14 easily and how quickly you can actually take out all five of the hard drives in
5:20 your system which is why it features a lock because that is how quickly
5:24 somebody at a landan could take out all of the hard drives in your system
5:30 all right moving around to the side we have a small window here at the top
5:34 showing you the CPU and RAM area which is a great area to show you because
5:38 that's likely where your liquid cooling is probably located okay we also have
5:43 some ventilation over here including a
5:46 headphone hanger I guess that's something that you
5:51 can attach to that spot oh neat okay and
5:55 then here we have a cooling fan which is
5:59 going to be blowing nice cool air and it is filtered actually there's your
6:03 removable filter aha push it in unclick it push it
6:09 back in to lock it back in place so that you've got a removable filter blowing
6:12 cool air over your graphics card there's a security systems lock so I'm using
6:18 that same key same key very convenient to unlock the side panel which I'm not
6:21 going to open up just yet let's have a look at the back of the case first where
6:26 we have those grommets for liquid cooling if you're using an external
6:30 radiator setup we've also got a rear
6:34 140/120 mil fan Mount we've got our other security key so there's two just
6:38 in case you lose one and we have 1 2 3 4 5 6 78 PCI expansion slots very nice to
6:45 see I really like to see high-end cases Having Eight because even with a 7even
6:49 PCI slot board sometimes you've got a bottom PCI e6x slot so that way you can
6:54 install a dual slot card in it moving
6:57 along to the other side we see that thermal take has done an excellent job
7:01 matching the white finish on the metal parts of the case to the white finish on
7:05 the plastic parts of the case that is a very challenging thing actually come
7:08 check it out right here so here's the Front plastic top plastic and the side
7:12 metal all in one shot so the Finish is very very similar between all of those
7:17 parts of the case so give me a oh and
7:20 cameraman wants to look at the level 10 GT logo down there which is very nice
7:24 cameraman you did a good job you did good okay give me a second to get this
7:28 opened up and and I'll be back now my initial thought was to open the side
7:32 panel we would actually flip this switch but that didn't do it nope there's an
7:36 eject button on the bottom you can see it's labeled with a little eject thing
7:40 and you go ahead and swing the door open so that is how you worked on your level
7:44 10 GT so what was this switch for well
7:47 that will actually redirect the side panel fan air flow either up to the top
7:52 or down to the bottom depending where your cooling
7:56 needs are so if you have your
8:00 uh video cards mounted in the bottom you put it there mounted in the top you put
8:03 it there oh yeah also you have what I
8:07 think is a very cool feature right here you have little contacts here little
8:10 contact pads here so that's how this side fan is powered you actually don't
8:14 have to worry about routing a cable from the side panel into your case because
8:18 it's always very difficult to manage that cable because well the case has to
8:22 be closed in order for you to Route it and once the case is closed very
8:26 difficult to do that so I like this that's a good solution okay
8:30 moving right along we have our accessories which are in a box right
8:34 here so we'll go ahead you know what why don't we look at the accessory package first and then we'll move
8:39 on Accessory package first thing we find
8:43 is some cable ties along with the mounting screws for all of our hard
8:47 drives and all of our other drives next we find a four eight pin CPU
8:54 power extension cable very handy if you have a shorter power supply go ahead and
8:59 include that haha there's the headphone hanger so this is actually kind of a
9:04 neat feature I need one of these uh I
9:07 mean this one obviously won't fit on my case but there you go you throw that on there boom hang your headphones on there
9:12 no big deal oh yeah I have matching headphones check this
9:18 out I have cameraman Siberia
9:21 headphones yeah yeah does that match or what you buy
9:26 steel series headphones throw them on there then you're the wi are okay so
9:31 let's go ahead get the next accessory thing out so here we have a uh guide
9:35 manual thing okay that's it still fairly complete accessory
9:41 package so we've got uh protective covers on the front what front oh that's
9:46 the eata plug there's your internal HD audio plug front USB 1 front USB 2 your
9:51 front switches including your power
9:55 switch hopefully somewhere here power switch there you go and uh you also got
10:00 our front USB 3 cable so that goes to your front panel header we've got some
10:05 fan connectors for the internal fans so let's go ahead and I'll show you guys
10:09 those fans we got a big old guy in the top we've got a big old guy on the side
10:13 panel we've got our 140 mm fan here in the back so that's where you're going to
10:16 be able to mount your uh liquid cooling
10:19 single 120 mil rad now if you look up here on the top if you take that 230 mil
10:24 fanof you've actually got mounting holes for a dual 120 rad as well so this is a
10:28 fully liquid cooling ready case very good thinking thermal take all right
10:33 we've got grommet holes for our 8 Pin CPU connector gromet holes for anything
10:38 that goes up near the top of our motherboard which is pretty much nothing grommet holes for our 24 pin grommet
10:43 holes for our PCI Express and finally
10:46 grommet holes for our front panel connector so I'd take these put them
10:50 right back out that hole where they came from and bring them up in the most convenient places at the bottom of my
10:54 motherboard next we have our power supply mounting which includes a
10:57 removable uh filter so that means you can
11:02 comfortably Mount your power supply with the fan facing down and it will be held
11:06 far enough off the ground in order to draw air in appropriately and it will be
11:10 filtered finally we have power for the that's I'm assuming the front something
11:15 or other front I don't know something power
11:19 for the case oh yeah I know what that's for come around with back with me
11:22 cameraman and I will show
11:25 you that is not for this actually that's
11:28 for something okay I don't know what that's for let's find out let's follow
11:32 it follow it follow it oh that's
11:35 probably for the fan controller okay there we go mystery
11:40 solved I don't know okay I'm not going to worry too much about it here we have
11:44 what is one of the best features of this case the hot
11:48 swap interface so that has five SATA
11:52 power connectors there you've got five SATA data connectors here so this is one
11:57 of the smartest hot swap interfaces I have yet seen it is something that can
12:01 be very easily taken out if you don't want it you just take out these screws
12:06 you take them out you don't want it fine no big deal no hot swap you lock it up
12:09 done throw away the key no big deal okay then there's no PCB these are straight
12:14 passrs so you don't run into any problems where you have say for example
12:19 a compatibility conflict between SATA 2 and SATA 3 because it's just a straight
12:23 pass through Copper to Copper no complications involved next you relies
12:29 on your own cables so you can actually route the cables however you want you
12:33 can plug in the power however you want it is fully modular that way and last
12:38 but not least it is incredibly cheap to implement like this so you're not going
12:42 to have to pay a ton extra for engineering that you don't
12:46 need there you go it's just a smart way to do it as for the 5 and 1/4 in base
12:50 the mounting devices are here so these are toolless you go ahead unlock lock
12:54 unlock lock pretty standard Fair these days but there you go last but not Le Le
12:59 I didn't see these before there are feet so look at that you can get a
13:04 little bit more stability for your Tower by letting out the
13:09 four feet that are along the bottom I'm
13:14 just going to go ahead and pull all those out there we go and that is it
13:19 that is my level 10 GT unboxing and first look and I'm actually pretty
13:23 impressed big thanks to Thermal take for sending this for us to check out and
13:27 don't forget to subscribe to lus Tech tips for more unboxings reviews and
13:30 other computer videos yeah after we finished I found
13:34 another uh secret compartment so to
13:37 speak you just press a button at the back you pop this up so there that's how you take out the included fan and you
13:43 install the Dual 120 Ms that you would need for your radiator for something
13:47 such as a Corsair h100 something like that
