0:00 dbrand makes great precision cut vinyl skins for your mobile devices game
0:04 consoles and game controllers you can check them out at the link in the video
0:07 description so we are here in the Gigabyte booth
0:12 where they are focused mostly on their server stuff and this is my first
0:18 encounter with an AMD epic server out in
0:21 the wild like not actually at AMD's headquarters so this guy right here has
0:26 got six NVMe and 18 SATA drives it
0:30 accepts up to two 32 core 64 thread epic
0:33 servers for a total of 128 threads not to mention that it can
0:39 hold up to four terabytes of memory if you've got oh i
0:44 don't know about 115 000 to spend on
0:47 your RAM per system this one is designed
0:50 more around versatility so you can throw a couple of Radeon instinct mi 25 cards
0:55 in the back throw some storage in throw some random whatever the case may be
1:00 but we're going to see some really interesting designs moving forward with
1:03 epic because as big data becomes more ubiquitous
1:06 memory to store that information during processing becomes more and more
1:10 important so high density high bandwidth
1:14 memory solutions are in extreme demand right now and AMD is providing mondo
1:19 memory capacity and mondo memory bandwidth and they're doing it
1:23 relatively speaking on the cheap so
1:26 Intel is currently charging about ten thousand dollars for their flagship xeon
1:32 scalable while AMD is topping out at around forty two hundred dollars
1:37 and changing gears entirely there's even more to be excited about so
1:42 let's have a quick look at this guy right here in the same 2u form factor
1:46 this guy takes two Intel xeon platinum
1:49 cpus up to 24 dimms and up to eight
1:55 just perfectly normal gpus each running at PCIe 16x thanks to these little riser
2:01 boards with plx chips on them now hold
2:04 on line if you're talking about Intel all of a sudden epic comes back into the picture here
2:08 because thanks to epic's 128 pci express lanes Gigabyte has told
2:14 us that they're actually planning a follow-up to this particular model with
2:19 a single epic CPU so not only could you be saving money on the cpus you're
2:23 buying you could actually be buying half
2:26 as many of them with tons of memory bandwidth and tons of GPU support with
2:32 no speed compromise so on a large scale
2:36 these cost savings are going to be making huge waves in the deep learning
2:41 space and on the subject of making huge waves
2:45 dbrand has shaken up the vinyl skin industry i don't even know if you can
2:49 call it a vinyl skin industry anymore because like who else even exists at
