0:01 so this is going to be a setup guide for the Corsair SP 2500 2.1 gaming speaker
0:07 setup so it's actually really easy it's
0:10 simpler than most things are to set up so the
0:15 first thing I'm going to show you is where to plug everything in to the
0:19 back like I said pretty self-explanatory
0:22 so you take the included cables which are proprietary cables because we are
0:26 using dual amped satellite speakers you
0:30 plug them into the color coordinated spots on the back of the subwoofer so I
0:36 got another one over here I'm going to plug that in just like that and that's
0:40 it we have connected the speakers so contrary to what you might think these
0:44 are not for the speakers that is what I originally thought too if that's what
0:49 you thought okay then we're going to take our audio cable and we are going to
0:52 this is also included take it from the back of our computer and plug it into
0:56 here now you can actually plug in a couple more audio sources including one
1:00 here uh that's line in so anything that uses uh these coax seal stereo
1:05 connectors you can plug in and then we will also need to plug in our color
1:10 remote so that right there is going to
1:14 be tangled up with something else and then I will find it and plug it in right
1:19 like that and then there's also another input an auxiliary 2 input built into to
1:25 the remote up here so I'll show you guys that right there there's your auxiliary
1:30 and then if you want to bypass the whole speaker setup and you want to plug in your headphones there's a jack for that
1:35 there as well last thing is to get a
1:39 standard PC power cord and plug that into the back of the subw warer just
1:43 like that and now you are
1:46 officially on well when you hit the power switch I
1:51 guess you're on there you go so you're going to need
1:56 to select which input you want to use the menu is accessed with this button
1:59 right here so you can go ahead and access the menu so the input that we're
2:05 using right now is auxiliary 1 although you can change it to whatever you want
2:09 it to be there's also a couple other things that you can set up in here you
2:12 can set up which EQ you want to use so there's classic pop Jazz mod x which is
2:17 for movies action drama FPS action
2:20 Action gaming headphones which compensates for lousy gaming headphones
2:26 and then reference and then there's also a setup menu ooh so you can change the
2:30 backlight you can change the color scheme to night mode which looks like
2:36 that okay you can go back to the main menu
2:41 and okay so these are uh yeah what you can program it to uh different listening
2:46 experience kinds of sounds karaoke is a kind of a neat sounding one so you can
2:50 play whatever songs you have and it'll try and take out the uh The Voice late
2:55 night is also pretty good it redirects most of what would normally go to the
2:58 subwoofer to your satellite so that you won't disturb your neighbors or roommate
3:03 or whoever else happens to have The Misfortune of living near you if you
3:08 have a rocking speaker setup like this
3:11 so I'm going to put it back to none and
3:14 I think that's pretty much it oh you know what there's actually a little bit more functionality in here so I'm just
3:19 going to whoops it's hard to do this upside down
3:22 believe it or not so here you can adjust the
3:25 volume and with this one you can adjust the subwoofer so you can adjust the
3:30 subwoofer level and the volume with those two buttons you adjust your menu
3:33 here and then you can power the whole thing down just like that so that is it
3:37 that is the setup guide but wait there's more that I forgot so you can also use
3:41 these little stands if you have a desk that is positioned kind of under you
3:45 like say for example I was sitting at my
3:48 desk and I'm about sort of this tall like let's say I'm kind of like a tall
3:52 guy right and so my speakers are basically blasting music at my chest and
3:57 stomach so I can go ahead and I can take these little stands and I can put them
4:00 under my speakers they are included and then I can aim them more at my head
4:05 because that's how you're going to get the best stereo listening experience is
4:09 by aiming the satellites at your ears which are the auditory receptacles of
4:15 your face so thank you for checking out
4:19 this setup guide on the sp2500 and don't forget to subscribe to Linus techtips
