0:00 today I'm going to be having a look at a product from mionix this is the propus
0:05 380 high performance gaming mouse pad like all of their packaging it is
0:10 extremely minimalistic you basically got an image of the product the name of the
0:14 product what it is the brand and that is
0:17 it so let's flip this guy over and see
0:20 what the propus 380 has to say for itself so their slogan is light years
0:25 ahead of the game and uh in fitting
0:28 fashion they name all of their products after Stars so here we go a star has
0:34 been born this is taken directly from the Greek word for forward foot okay so
0:38 it's some history of the particular star that this one is named for here's a
0:42 model overview so it is the physical answer to Performance design and
0:47 Innovation the new developed surface is treated with a special silver metallic
0:51 plastic coating I haven't heard of that before according to test results this
0:55 special coding offers optimal tracking conditions and improves the overall performance of the mouse movements
1:00 okay we have implemented a thin base of PVC plastic to give stability from a
1:04 hard mouse pad without compromising the flexibility from a soft mous pad the
1:07 backside is made of natural rubber to insure a steady grip okay here we go
1:13 material PVC plastic base squat value now we'll talk about that a little bit
1:17 more later but squat is the surface quality analyzer tool that is available
1:22 on mionix mice so it looks like this
1:25 score is pretty high okay ultra fine
1:28 texture 38x 2 60 mm thickness rubber base back and led opone laser it is
1:34 compatible with so don't be going and grabbing an expensive new propus 3 380
1:39 mouse pad for your ball mouse please do not I shouldn't need to tell you guys
1:44 that it's kind of like using a VGA
1:47 output on a you know GTX 580 just don't
1:51 just please don't okay so packaging we've got a plastic cover or plastic
1:57 paper cover okay avoid any damage to the
2:01 finish and speaking of the Finish ooh that's shiny look at that I've actually
2:06 never seen a mouse pad with a finish
2:09 anything like that I'm going to try and get the right angle to show you guys uh
2:13 on the camera what it looks like in person so that's that's probably about
2:17 as close as we're going to get you can see all of that shiny reflective uh
2:23 sparkliness coming off of it it's got kind of a kind of a neat uh feel to it
2:28 overall so the rubber on the back is very very grippy okay you can see the
2:34 texture here once I put that down I guarante you there's no way that it's
2:40 going anywhere now that it's on the table it'll move my tablecloth before
2:44 it'll actually move itself here's just
2:48 uh if you can read that yeah there you go light ears ahead of the game.net
2:52 here's their little logo down here in the bottom and really all I'm going to
2:56 be able to tell you guys about this product is how it TR cracks and since I
3:01 actually don't have a mouse handy or maybe I
3:08 do I won't be able to tell you as much as I had hoped so I've got a naos
3:15 3200 I'm going to go ahead and plug that in although there's not really going to
3:20 be any way to tell with any certainty
3:23 how effective it is until I've actually played some games
3:28 on it although what I will tell you guys now is that it Glides like mad so you've
3:36 actually got a little bit of a texture to it so it won't start moving without a
3:40 little bit of resistance but it is a tiny tiny bit I mean a tiny bit of
3:44 resistance to start the Mouse Moving And once you've got it moving it's very very
3:50 smooth so most of the drag on the mouse right now when I'm sliding it across the
3:54 mouse pad is actually from the cord so if I had a way to there we go to reduce
4:00 that drag and Slide the mouse then you'd
4:03 be able to get a better idea this is actually a fairly worn out naos 3200 you
4:08 can see the uh Teflon feed on the bottom are actually pretty scratched up from
4:13 use with another mouse pad so uh big fan of the ergonomics of of this particular
4:18 Mouse by the way so that Glides like crazy um like I said without playing any
4:24 games it's going to be very hard to gauge the overall accuracy of the this
4:29 I'm going to go ahead and close that so
4:33 let's see if there's anything that we can s of just do to click around it's
4:39 very fast very very fast to move from place to
4:43 place a lot of the time when you get a new mouse pad you can actually feel it
4:47 right off the bat how how responsive the mouse is on
4:51 it looks a little bit faster than I'm used to on this
4:56 pad all right well thank you for checking out my unboxing of the propus
5:01 380 I'm actually going to be doing an unboxing shortly of the naos 5000 and
5:06 I'm going to run that squat tool to find out how it
5:10 compares to let's see let's find another
5:13 mouse pad that I have around how about the steel Series 5 L we'll compare it to
5:17 that don't forget to subscribe to lus Tech tips for more unboxings reviews and
