0:00 have you looked at the back of a graphics card lately
0:03 the outputs are all pretty much the same you got your DisplayPort you got your
0:08 HDMI in some cases you'll still find a
0:11 dvi kicking around and then NVIDIA in particular has this little vr link
0:16 connector a usb type-c that they use for
0:19 vr which is kind of cool AMD much of the same no dvi no vr link no big deal well
0:26 that's boring what if there was something totally different
0:32 well there is this is a graphics card from a company i had
0:37 never heard before called edvoli
0:41 and the atvoli ta6
0:44 is a video card unlike any
0:48 got your pci express 16x it's got your
0:51 power connector it's got your boom
0:55 six Ethernet jacks
1:04 madrina's coffee blends specialty cold brew coffees into 15 ounce grab-and-go
1:08 cans for your convenience check them out and use offer code Linus to save 40
1:15 at the link below so this thing can support
1:19 six displays running at 4k
1:22 30 hertz at the same time
1:26 how the bloody hell are they doing this Anthony
1:31 you did the prep for this sure did
1:34 it's Anthony folks so this is a weird freaking card like
1:40 this entire portion of the pcb seems to be dedicated to these hd base t
1:46 certified outputs and we'll get into that in a little bit more detail later
1:49 back here we've got a couple of three and a half millimeter jacks
1:52 what are these for those are for infrared pass-through so you can have
1:57 infrared in and infrared out as well as our rs232 serial
2:01 oh interesting so so you can use a remote
2:04 and have it pass through it's actually got ir blasters here
2:08 cool all right now the graphics card itself
2:12 is actually not here
2:15 or at least it's not integrated onto this output board so mxm is a laptop
2:22 graphics card form factor that's typically used in like
2:26 gaming notebooks but then they've gone and they've put
2:29 this Radeon card in it that isn't something i'd ever even heard before
2:33 like i assumed this was going to be an rx something or other but instead it's
2:37 uh what was it again it's actually an uh Radeon integrated embedded e9550 so this
2:43 has so far raised more questions than it has answered my understanding is this is
2:47 running off of it right now is that right oh yeah that's absolutely got two of these do you want to show me how this
2:51 cable run works so it's just this single Ethernet cable that comes from the card
2:55 from there we're going HDMI straight into
2:58 this monitor okay and then should i be able to tell any difference from from
3:04 using this at all not really so then Anthony how much of a delay is there if
3:08 i just pop this Ethernet cable out and then
3:12 like pop it back in to
3:16 about two and a half seconds so it's about the same as what a HDMI would be
3:19 so that six pin adapter that goes in is taking care of power not just for the
3:23 GPU but also for the power that has to be sent
3:27 to these adapters that take that hd base t signal and turn it into something that
3:32 a display can understand now you can do
3:35 10 gigabit Ethernet networking at up to
3:38 a hundred meters if you've got high enough quality cabling
3:43 and hdbaset can actually do the same thing
3:48 so at volley sent us over
3:51 600 meters of what has to be the most badass
3:57 what is this like cat seven like shielded cat seven or something like
4:01 that yeah i'm pretty sure that's cat seven i mean look at these connectors on
4:04 the end these are unreal this is solid core cabling
4:09 nice and i guess it's armored in case some idiot drops the spool on top of it
4:15 it's actually kind of funny when you look at the manual it says read the full
4:18 installation guide before beginning it can be found at bully.com ta-6
4:22 performance why you will make mistakes and you need to
4:26 read the warnings and safety related items that's literally what's written here so
4:30 the first thing i need to do is plug all of these into the back of the GPU
4:34 correct i mean sure if you want to uh uh
4:37 uh okay so then now the plan is for me to drag i don't know 80 pounds of copper
4:43 like as far as you can go and then we can plug in a monitor and see what it
4:46 looks like i won't be able to see it from there though because i need an output here
4:51 don't mind me i'm just you know plugging in my monitor
4:57 gentlemen
5:01 no i'm good where are you going
5:04 outside
5:09 you know when we said this channel's about to get heavy
5:14 this is exactly what we had in mind lots and lots of copper
5:20 no i got this i'm close i can smell it
5:26 you did it oh
5:50 oh man
5:55 we're close
6:09 all right
6:14 hi so there's two power leads outside yeah
6:17 and we should have five here and do we have a remote for this uh
6:21 oh man it's getting dark this is really
6:25 annoying all we had to do was not take that roundabout route through the
6:28 editing den and we'd be inside right now doing this
6:33 hey at least we cleverly planned ahead and we're going to use the uh the quad
6:38 input monitor from lg that thing has come in handy for so many projects like
6:42 this we're like we need to output to a bunch of
6:45 displays but we don't actually want to carry a bunch of monitors around
6:50 let's start with two so this is the one that should be mirroring the output from
6:55 Anthony's computer inside
7:02 okay i'm gonna go check again
7:06 okay Anthony i got an output on all of them
7:10 uh no i only have one plugged in so far but
7:14 it's the cloned one okay cool it's not bad at all do you mind turning
7:18 the volume down a bit i can't hear myself over myself
7:23 like this looks really good
7:26 dang all right let's go get the other display here we go
7:33 and there it is
7:36 that's crazy town hey Anthony is it possible to put videos
7:41 on all of them uh yeah
7:45 okay keep going keep going keep going keep going keep going keep going okay
7:49 now maximize the first one you want to come check it out you read
7:54 my mind that's actually pretty cool yeah this looks really good yeah and
8:01 it's over 100 meters like that's actually 100 meters plus like six or 10
8:05 feet for each of these cables and they've apparently got some improvements
8:08 in the pipeline so right now these are using uh what was it they call it power
8:13 over cable power over cable but PoE is
8:17 more of the like industry standard that would allow
8:20 better interoperability with other equipment and they're gonna have a PoE
8:24 version of it coming down the line
8:29 so in terms of how this works then basically
8:33 unlike most of the consumer grade in-home
8:37 streaming solutions where you can do display over Ethernet that we've
8:41 explored in the past this is using a 10 gig link rather than
8:45 a one gigabit link and the thing is that even with steam and home streaming you
8:49 can absolutely run it over a 10 gigabit switch with a 10
8:54 gigabit network card but because of the way that it is designed it will not make
8:59 use of all that extra bandwidth you have available so this
9:03 is what was it you said Anthony 8. something like that depending on the
9:07 exact resolution 4k 30 or 4k 60 at 420.
9:11 even though you don't have as much bandwidth as HDMI as long as you limit
9:16 some of your settings be it resolution be it refresh rate or be a bit depth
9:21 you can get something that to my eye is
9:26 not noticeably compressed over an Ethernet cable pretty freaking
9:32 sick what can i say about the oneplus 6t
9:35 oxygen os is awesome it's got an underscreen fingerprint reader which is
9:40 super responsive it's got a snapdragon 845 processor and up to eight gigs of
9:44 RAM with rear 16 plus 20 megapixel dual cameras storage starts at 128 gigs for
9:50 the base model and its 3 700 milliamp hour battery gives you up to a day and a
9:54 half of full use with built-in fast charge and the best part about it is you
9:59 can win one of two in our giveaway at the link in the video description
10:04 free oneplus who would say no
10:07 i wouldn't brandon wouldn't definitely not
10:11 so thanks for watching guys if you disliked this video you can hit that button but if you liked it hit like get
10:15 subscribed or maybe consider checking out where to buy the stuff we featured at the link in the video description
10:19 also down there is our merch store which has cool shirts like this one and our community forum
10:24 which is definitely worth a joint
