0:07 so we got another Samsung Smart TV to open up and have a look at here this is
0:12 their four uh 7,000 class so this is the
0:16 46 in version from that particular line of products so this is still a smart TV
0:21 so it does have all those Smart TV features so uh Samsung sort of some some
0:26 of the selling points are ones that I might not find useful but somebody probably does you can watch like a yoga
0:31 video and do yoga in front of your TV um you can get the you can get the camera
0:36 accessory and you can Skype on your smart TV it's got an internet browser
0:41 and uh this one actually includes not only an internet browser but also a full
0:44 quiry keypad remote control so I'll show
0:47 you guys that once it's uh once it's opened up here so that's kind of neat
0:51 that means you can watch your Netflix or YouTube or whatever you can search for
0:55 Content using a keyboard instead of trying to input it in a way that is a
0:59 little less intuitive and less quick so we've got our mounting bracket here and
1:04 then inside we find some foam okay so I'm just going to go ahead
1:09 and put that out of the way there we've also got our base which is the metal
1:14 style base that uh we saw on the 8,000
1:17 series but what makes this a 7,000 series versus an 8,000 series is a
1:21 couple things so number one it doesn't have the metal One Design bezel so the
1:27 one design actually here come check out the one designz so the one design bezel
1:31 is basically this super ultra thin bezel so this one uses a plastic version of it
1:36 and instead of a 960 clear motion rate this one has 720
1:42 clear motion rate so remember clear motion rate doesn't necessarily refer to
1:47 the speed of the LCD panel itself the
1:51 frequency of it but it is a combination of that and the modulation of the back
1:56 light and the processing that goes on in
2:00 the TV that achieves that sort of what
2:03 Samsung's saying is the perceived motion
2:06 rate so I'm just going to go ahead and prop this here and we'll have a look at
2:09 the accessories that are included so we've got uh our power
2:15 adapter we've got a composite adapter
2:18 we've got these are reinforcers for the vase amount we've got component and then
2:23 I do want to check out aside from the
2:27 four AAA batteries that come with it in order to power it I do want to check out
2:31 this remote here so I'm just going to throw those back in there so this is
2:35 their full quty remote gives you access to all those cool features go ahead you
2:40 got to pair this with your TV instructions on there just pull that off
2:43 there we go so you got a little screen here so you can see what you're typing and you've got a number pad these are
2:48 your programmable buttons those exist on both sides of the remote as well as your
2:52 full Cordy keyboard including um special
2:55 characters which is neat and navigation buttons which is also neat so you can
2:59 get around in the menu and all that good stuff and then here you find the buttons
3:03 that you're typically used to seeing on a TV you know your Source you're on off
3:06 all that good stuff all right so let's go ahead and unveil the TV itself this
3:11 is a lot less challenging to uh to do a
3:14 video of than the last two TVs that I did because it is significantly
3:20 smaller so I'm able to handle handle it a little bit
3:24 better uh but I still do need to put it on the stand so give me a minute here
3:28 guys and I will put it on the stand so we can show you it properly so this is a
3:33 3D TV which I'm not sure if I already mentioned or not and it also includes
3:37 Samsung's 2D to 3D conversion so that means that you can actually on the Fly
3:42 con actually hey check this out go from this side to this side this changes from
3:45 a 3D to an M I don't know if you'll be able to see it on camera though it's kind of neat one those hologram thingss
3:51 okay anyway uh so that means that you've got their 2D to 3D conversion technology
3:55 which allows you to take any content whether it's TV or uh games or whatever
4:00 else the case may be and you can convert them on the fly to 3D and the effect is
4:05 actually really good we've already seen it on their LCD monitor like their PC
4:09 monitor so uh it's pretty much the same kind of idea on a television uh we've
4:15 got their micro dimming technology is also included on this TV so what that
4:19 means is deeper blacks and brighter whites higher contrast ratio overall and
4:24 I've talked about the smart TV features this has you know what let's go have a look
4:29 at all the inputs and puts and then yeah okay okay fine fine we'll talk about
4:32 that now cameraman spending a lot of time looking at the bezel of this one
4:35 because both he and I actually really like it so you can see here there's only
4:40 about sheesh okay whatever this much so
4:43 between here and here um of actual opaque bezel and then outside of that is
4:49 a clear bezel so the difference between the 7,000 series and then the 8,000
4:53 series we looked at before cameraman already showed you that is that this one
4:56 the one design bezel is metal and on this one it's clear plastic and
5:01 personally when standing in front of the display like this I actually find that
5:06 the clear bezel makes it look smaller than the metal bezel does so I I
5:10 actually really like the way the 7,000 series TV looks okay so come on over
5:15 here and have a look at what we got for inputs and outputs it's all pretty standard on these high-end TVs so we're
5:20 probably going to have four hdmis which we do three USB including one that
5:23 supports a hard drive we've also got digital optical audio out uh moving down
5:29 we've got comp in we've got composite in VGA in antenna in audio out ex link and
5:35 Lan although um you don't necessarily
5:38 need the land connector I believe this one has built-in Wi-Fi yeah cameraman's giving me the nod
5:43 so all of the high-end ones I believe it's 7,000 series and up have built-in
5:46 Wi-Fi whereas the other ones are available with a Samsung Wi-Fi adapter
5:51 doy you can put that in there and use that with uh one of the USB
5:55 ports so I think that pretty much covers
5:59 everything I wanted to say I'd say that about sort of around the 7,000 series
6:03 range is where you start getting sort of more more bang for your butt the 8,000
6:07 series is very expensive it does have the benefit of being super super thin
6:11 you've got the metal B bezel design versus the plastic bezel design which is
6:15 sort of a personal taste whether you prefer it or not 9,000 Series is very
6:18 expensive but when you go down to the 6,000 series you start to lose some of the features so 7,000 series looks
6:23 pretty darn good to me I kind of wish I had one but I don't um
6:30 thank you for checking out this video and don't forget to subscribe to L

6:38 let's do like just a quick tour of the new Samsung showcase store forx we got
6:43 this like wooden panel roof thing going on here and we got know lots of Samsung
6:49 logos so AllShare right that's that's a smart TV so it has AllShare so if you
6:53 got a Samsung tablet or smartphone or whatever else you can just browse
6:57 through your pictures on your device and then you can see them on your TV got the
7:00 little Samsung 3D logo so this is where the 3D plasma is going to go and I think
7:05 that gives you sort of a pretty good feel for what this place is going to look like it'll be open in a couple
7:09 weeks so I hope to uh see you there
