0:07 so this is uh my video about the z77
0:11 shuttle with a radon hd7970 and a 2600k now please note guys
0:17 there is no overclocking and no overclocking will be done but a lot of
0:22 naysayers out there have said blah blah blah lus the 500 W power supply in there
0:26 is not capable of running that kind of a system to which I say f because it can
0:31 um and also this is more of a test than something that I actually know already
0:35 but I wanted to check out what kind of temperatures we're going to
0:40 get on this system if we load up an intensive oh okay apparently CPU that is
0:46 not working properly but whatever there's a 2600k in there that's all I
0:49 really needed to show you guys and I I'm telling you it's not overclocked um you
0:55 let's run some small fft and see what it boosts up to it's on air cooling so it
0:58 should pretty much find its temperature pretty quickly
1:01 here that's probably going to make the GPU run a little bit hotter as well not
1:06 much though I mean they're they're sort of different thermal zones because the
1:10 ventilation holes here are going to be mostly actually I can feel the air
1:13 coming in are going to be intake for the VGA fan which is right here and then
1:17 exhausting air out the back and then the CPU intake area is going to be over here
1:21 on this other side because the video card actually physically blocks off the
1:25 video card cooler from the rest of the internals here okay so there we go our
1:30 load CPU temperatures are in the neighborhood of let's say 60° okay which
1:34 is still acceptable and then let's fire
1:37 up a game and let's find out what our load video card attempts are going to be
1:42 so what we're going to do actually oh let's do it this way we're going to torture test four
1:51 threads so that we are pretty much fully loading this system let's leave uh let's
1:55 leave real temp on actually so that we can uh we can see when we get out of the
2:00 game how how hot it's running and then we are going to launch the campaign of
2:04 Battlefield 3 we're going to leave after burner running so that we can check the
2:08 GPU temps oh yeah idle GPU temps about 40 40 plus degrees which is still
2:12 acceptable yes the system is a touch on the loud side it's not what I would
2:16 consider to be a silent system but it's also not what I would consider to be
2:20 unacceptable either it's what I'd say is kind of you know your typical
2:26 desktop all right um give me a sec here guys I'll
2:30 get in game and then we'll check this out so noise level of the machine here
2:34 I'm just going to get slick to bring the camera kind of close to it so you can
2:38 see you can kind of hear the quality of the noise it's not a super high pitch
2:42 noise which to me makes more difference than the overall noise quality in
2:45 general oh I was about to oh you know what I guess it's okay here I'm going to
2:49 carefully move my steam Drive which is what my games run off
2:53 of just going to open up the uh the Shroud here and then I'll put it back on
2:57 before we take our temperature measurements but I just want to show you
3:01 guys how jam-packed it is in there like yeah I ghetto mounted the SSD whatever
3:05 but got the 2600k running there and the
3:08 7970 is uh installed with not a
3:12 millimeter to spare you can come over here and check out the other side we've
3:15 got some mushkin ridgeback 8 gig memories in there got some cooling for
3:21 the VM okay so we're going to throw this back on I'm not even going to bother
3:24 putting the screws on this time just because the screws do not affect the
3:28 cooling performance of the chassis in any way although having it closed properly
3:33 does there we go okay so I'll show you guys what kind of performance we're
3:38 getting in Battlefield 3 on Ultra yes
3:41 Ultra presets bam and here we go so yes we are getting
3:48 above 30 FPS in intensive scenarios that
3:53 means explosions going on all over the place and I just got knifed oh man okay
3:58 well either way let's check out what kind of load temperatures we get and
4:02 what I would consider to be as far as
4:05 realistic scenarios go a full load
4:09 scenario so here we go so our CPU maxes
4:12 out around 60° even with the graphics card running full bore as well and then
4:17 MSI afterburner shows us that our graphics card is peaking at around 72°
4:23 so very nice so yes you can build a high
4:26 performance system in a shuttle PC if you have the uh you
4:31 know desire thank you for watching lus
