0:00 so today's retro edition of my unboxing
0:03 lus Tech tips is going to be featuring two things first a company that no
0:08 longer exists soyo motherboard and
0:11 second my little brother who was already featured on a fan unboxing uh much to
0:16 the uh bewilderment of my normal
0:19 audience so first of all um Asher I
0:23 would like you to tell me what this is designed for this is designed for
0:28 running a computer it is it is designed
0:32 for Microsoft Windows XP okay awesome
0:36 and it is the home of what the dragon home of the Dragon this could very well
0:40 be where they invented the digital Dragon the digital Dragon okay so on the
0:44 back there is no information whatsoever awesome soil motherboards
0:49 yeah on the back there's nothing on the side there's nothing on the front
0:53 there's nothing there's a little star oh wait here we found something oh okay so
0:58 please tell me uh what what okay so we got Pentium 3s um AGP supports three SD
1:05 RAM um oo nice yeah yeah 1.5 gab maximum
1:10 1.5 gigs Max so that's that's more like
1:14 a minimum these days so let's get this open so the first thing we will find is
1:18 a warning please read the warning out for me brosi warning comes with two pictures
1:24 this motherboard does not support older type of Celeron processors I'm not sure
1:29 the exist anymore 300 a
1:33 5333 MHz don't know what that means ppga
1:38 package type a bunch of letters and numbers please do not install older type
1:43 of Sal processor on this motherboard it
1:46 might damage your Celeron Processor or
1:49 motherboard that's a damaged one that's a not damaged one is what I'm guessing
1:53 Okay so then inside we will find some accessories we will find two IDE cables
1:59 one of which is an ad0 pin and one of which is not an IDE cable but rather a
2:03 floppy cable my bad they're gray I
2:06 thought those are belts they are not belts I know you you never were the
2:10 bright one in the family were you so we've got a soyo motherboard CD manual
2:14 and driver's disc including promagic
2:18 image it and dpu whatever those are normally I would recommend you go to the
2:22 manufacturer's website um to download the latest drivers but I'm going to go
2:26 ahead and Venture a guess that the soyo website no longer exists
2:31 not sure the manufacturer exists anymore either no they don't I already said that
2:34 okay this is the quick start guide where you will find um how to quickly start
2:40 although yeah this motherboard probably doesn't even start anymore in fact I
2:43 think it even had a label on it that it's dead mind you it smells new
2:49 actually no I think I think this board is brand spanking new well like new
2:53 never used so anyway why don't we talk a little bit about the features of this
2:57 board first of all we have a socket 370 supporting the latest Intel Celeron and
3:01 Pentium 3 CPUs then we
3:05 have a uh 3 SD RAM slot supporting a
3:09 maximum of 1.5 gigs so that means you could load this baby up with three 512
3:16 megabyte uh did I say dims because those were Sims back then uh my bad then we
3:21 have a chipset heat sink along with 20
3:24 pin power Advanced tech 20 pin power to
3:28 deliver the best power power to your AGP video card and your 370 CPU okay also
3:36 featured on this motherboard is two IDE
3:39 channels uh maybe supporting raid probably not actually and then uh we
3:44 have five PCI slots and Asher Pop Quiz
3:48 do you know what these slots are indeed I do they are video card insert slots
3:54 that's my wild guess right that was a good try but this is the video card slot
3:58 dang yeah no these are Isa slots these are pretty ancient at this point then we
4:03 have a floppy connector and let's see what Advanced High TE Connectivity oh
4:09 USB check that out yo okay let's see
4:12 what kind of high-tech connectivity we will find on the back okay so uh we
4:17 first of all we've got support for a PS2 keyboard and mouse two whole USB ports
4:23 on the back two serial ports so that'll be great if you're running like serial
4:28 peripherals a par parallel port if you can actually dig up a parallel printer
4:32 you could run that and then we have support for ac97 audio as well as a
4:38 joystick Port so thank you for checking out our joint unboxing of the um oh this
4:44 is terrific I love this of the soyo home of the Dragon Sy
